Saudi Interior Ministry participates in Arab security conference in Tunisia
TUNIS: The Saudi Ministry of Interior participated in the 16th Arab Conference of Heads of Security Media Agencies in Tunisia this week. The Saudi delegation was headed by Col. Talal bin Abdul Mohsen bin Shalhoub, head of the ministry's General Administration of Media and Corporate Communication. The conference explored the role of security media in raising awareness of cybercrime, the use of artificial intelligence in security media, and the experiences of member states in drug prevention. It was attended by heads and representatives of security media agencies in Arab countries, the Arab States Broadcasting Union, and Naif Arab University for Security Sciences.

Jordan partakes in 16th Arab conference of heads of security media agencies
AMMAN — Jordan took part in the 16th Arab Conference of Heads of Security Media Agencies, which kicked off on Wednesday in Tunis. Held under the auspices of the General Secretariat of the Arab Interior Ministers Council (AIMC), the conference aims to focus on the vital role of security media in raising awareness about various crimes, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Director of the Media and Community Policing Directorate at the Public Security Department Mahmoud Shiyab represented the Kingdom at the event. During the opening session, Secretary General of AIMC Mohammed bin Ali Koman, highlighted the significant impact of the digital space in shaping public opinion and spreading rumours and misinformation, according to Petra. He emphasised that the rapid development of artificial intelligence technologies has heightened the risks posed to societies. The conference will explore the role of security media in promoting awareness of cybercrime and the use of artificial intelligence in security communication. It will feature presentations of Arab eperts in utilising media to combat terrorism, drug trafficking and related threats.
