Person suffering from serious injuries after animal attack

Police said they were called to an animal attack at about 2.15pm on Monday on Makino Road, a rural road in Manawatū north of Feilding. "The victim has sustained serious injuries and will be transported by ambulance to Hospital. The animal has been destroyed." Hato Hone St John confirmed crews responded to a 'farm incident' in Halcombe with one ambulance, one rapid response unit, and one manager. A St John spokesperson said one person in a serious condition was treated and transported to Palmerston North Hospital. 4 seriously injured after multi-vehicle crash on West Broward Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue says
A crash in Fort Lauderdale involving multiple vehicles sent four people to the hospital with serious injuries on Sunday evening, fire officials said. According to Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue, the intersection of West Broward Boulevard and 7th Avenue is currently shut down due to a crash that happened just before 6 p.m. Here are some photos of the crash scene. Broward Blvd will be closed for an extended period of time. Woman seriously injured by vehicle in Midtown hit-and-run, Anchorage police say
Jun. 1—A vehicle struck a woman in a hit-and-run early Saturday in Midtown Anchorage, sending her to the hospital with serious injuries, police said. Multiple people called police around 3:04 a.m. Saturday to report a woman who was lying in the road near the Seward Highway and East Benson Boulevard, the Anchorage Police Department said in a later update to a post on its website. "Witnesses stated that the adult female had been struck by a vehicle, which then fled the scene," police said in the update. The woman was taken to the hospital with injuries that police described as life-threatening. The northbound lanes of the Seward Highway between East 36th Avenue and Benson were closed for several hours Saturday as police processed the scene. Police said the investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Buggy driver and horse seriously injured in eastern Michigan hit-and-run
A 35-year-old man is in the hospital after the horse-drawn buggy he was driving was rear-ended by a car in Sanilac County Friday evening, according to Michigan State Police. Troopers responded to the crash in the area of Peck and Isles roads in Flynn Township around 6:22 p.m. Police say the man was driving on Peck Road when the buggy was rear-ended by a motorist in a white car. The man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The horse was also seriously injured. Troopers are looking for a white or light-colored 2010-2014 Ford Fusion with front-end damage, according to police. Anyone with information is asked to call MSP Caro Post at 989-673-2156 or Sanilac County Central Dispatch at 810-648-2000.

Driver ‘seriously' hurt after high-speed chase ends in fiery NH crash, police say
A man was 'seriously injured' after being involved in a police pursuit, where he drove over 140 miles per hour, according to a New Hampshire State Police statement. The incident happened at around 1:30 a.m. on Friday when a state trooper was driving southbound on the F.E. Everett Turnpike in Bedford and noticed a 2018 Infiniti Q50 pass him at over 140 miles per hour, and refused to stop. A pursuit began and the driver continued southbound on the turnpike until he drove off the right side of the road and crashed, state police said. The driver was trapped inside the car as it caught fire. State police quickly responded, using fire extinguishers to control the blaze while attempting to get the driver out. Merrimack, New Hampshire Fire Rescue personnel managed to put out the flames completely and free the driver from the heavily damaged vehicle. The driver was taken by medical helicopter to Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston with serious injuries.
