Maiden plantation crop show in TN's Coonoor from Friday
NILGIRIS: Preparations are in full swing for the horticulture department's first plantation crop show at Kattery Park near Coonoor, scheduled to commence on Friday. The three-day show, which is the final part of the annual summer festival conducted by the horticulture department and the Nilgiris district administration, will end on Sunday. Sources say the horticulture department personnel have been creating various designs to showcase Tamil Nadu's 10 most cultivated crops — tea, coffee, coconut, areca nut, palmyra, oil palm, cocoa, cashew, betel vine and rubber. "We have also planned to set up stalls to explain the byproducts from these 10 crops. Tea and coffee, along with coconut and cocoa, are being cultivated across the Nilgiris district. Likewise, palmyra is the state tree, and we will create awareness among the visitors. We are also expecting tourists from across the country this season," said an official of the horticulture department. The horticulture department officials from various districts will also be setting up stalls to promote their produce. The officials have also planned to conduct the valedictory ceremony for the fruit show that was called off due to the red alert for heavy rain on May 26. The horticulture department has conducted the 127th flower show, 11th spices show, and 18th rose show successfully this season.

Bears CB Jaylon Johnson shares personal goals for 2025
Bears CB Jaylon Johnson shares personal goals for 2025 The expectations for the Chicago Bears have risen this offseason, from a team standpoint and a player standpoint, especially the leaders on both offense and defense. Pro Bowl cornerback Jaylon Johnson is ready to elevate his game to an even higher level with this new coaching staff, led on defense by veteran defensive coordinator Dennis Allen. The Bears have made considerable upgrades on both offense and defense, but Johnson has been a mainstay for Chicago, even through the rough years. Now, with hype and expectations rising around the team, Johnson is hoping to elevate his game to the next level. In a recent interview, Johnson detailed his personal goals for the season, which were quite detailed and lofty -- but nothing Johnson isn't capable of. "My expectations for this year, I just wrote my numbers down, I want to have seven interceptions, three forced fumbles, ten turnovers at least," Johnson told FOX Sports' Speak show. "I want to have no touchdowns given up, no games over 50 receiving yards allowed. First-team All-Pro, Pro Bowl, and I want to get in the end zone three times, that's for sure." Johnson's career high in interceptions in a single season is four (2023), and he's had one forced fumble in each season since 2021. One of the league's best coverage corners in the game, Johnson clearly wants to become more of a ballhawk and a playmaker under his new defensive coordinator. There is going to be many reasons to watch the Bears this year, but Johnson setting his sights even higher is definitely something to keep an eye on this season. Stephen's budget was €350,000 and Maggie said it "should be enough to get him a fine home", but property prices in the area have gone up in the last few years. RTE star Hugh Wallace looks for homes to feature on new series of The Great House Revival The house hunt proved to be a real challenge, but Stephen was open to a fixer-upper. Maggie immediately got to work and found a traditional villa in the village of Pecheo, which is just a 15 minute drive from the airport. The property was on the market for €215,000 and offered loads of space, but it needed a lot of work. After viewing this home, Stephen admitted it has "a lot of potential but needs a lot of work". DREAM DIGS Next up was a "pristine" and fully renovated townhouse in Luz de Tavira which was on the market for €319,000. Upon arriving at the home, Stephen noted that it was a "big difference from the last house". Next Maggie brought them to a two-bedroom cottage that had plenty of out houses along with it's main house. The traditional Spanish-style pueblo home was on the market for €199,000 - and with over three acres of land included in that price, Maggie was optimistic. And Maggie's instincts were right, as Michelle's eyes lit up when she heard the home had three and a half acres of land, but she wasn't entirely convinced about the property, just yet. The final house was a "quirky" Spanish home, more centrally located in Nerja, that had a lot of potential with a little investment. 3 Cheap European Homes is in its second season Credit: PA
