Catalan spinach salad
I've had this dish loads of times in the Catalan region of Spain – sometimes as a starter, sometimes as a veggie side or even as part of a tapas spread. It's super simple to throw together and packed with fruity, nutty textures. It also goes brilliantly with grilled lamb chops or a nice meaty piece of fish. Plus soaking time

Dodgers' Dave Roberts Makes Tough Dustin May Decision, Possibly Moving to Bullpen
Dodgers' Dave Roberts Makes Tough Dustin May Decision, Possibly Moving to Bullpen originally appeared on Athlon Sports. If the Los Angeles Dodgers find a way to get healthy after the second half, with indications suggesting they should, there could be a scenario where they have to move a starter to the bullpen. It remains uncertain what the Dodgers plan to do when everyone is healthy, but it'd be a good problem to have. It also wouldn't be too surprising to see the Dodgers add another starter, given the injuries they've faced. Los Angeles understands better than anyone that it can be faced with injuries at any moment, and it must be prepared to handle them. But for guys like Dustin May, it might require him to go to the bullpen. When recently speaking about it, Dave Roberts admitted that it's something that could potentially happen, but later added that, for now, he plans to keep him in the rotation at the start of the second half. 'I think right now, he's going to stay in the same role as a starter when we start the second half,' Roberts said, per Dodgers Nation. 'I know that Dustin's talked about it, we've talked about, at some point in time, giving him a little respite. I don't know if that's going to happen, when it's going to happen – when and if it's going to happen. 'The consistency of length has been good, but yeah, I think also there's still got to be a performance part, too, right? … That's something we're going to keep being mindful of. But I think him as a starter is how we're going to start the second half.' May has struggled a bit throughout the year, but his stuff is so good that it'd be tough to justify taking him out of his current role. However, he certainly needs to throw the baseball at a higher level if he wants to continue being a starter. May allowed seven earned runs in 4.2 innings against the San Francisco Giants on Friday, posting an ERA of 4.96 in the first story was originally reported by Athlon Sports on Jul 15, 2025, where it first appeared.

Caleb Hays, Todd Stephens Named Head Starters At Kentucky Tracks originally appeared on Paulick Report. Two longtime gate crew veterans with decades of experience were recently appointed to head starter positions at Kentucky racetracks. Caleb Hays has been named head starter at Churchill Downs and Turfway Park, while Todd Stephens will serve as the head starter at Ellis Park. Advertisement Hays, a fixture at Churchill Downs for nearly two decades, officially takes over the starting gate duties after being named interim starter during the Spring Meet. Hays has worked on the gate for 19 years, including the past 17 at Churchill Downs. He began his career at River Downs under Mark Harring and has since worked under a respected group of starters, including 'Spec' Alexander, Scott Jordan and Jeff Powell. During his time on the gate, Hays has handled some marquee horses, including Kentucky Derby winners Nyquist and Mystik Dan. He is the son of the late Danton 'Danny' Hays, a widely respected horseman and former assistant starter. 'It's a great honor to step into this role at Churchill Downs and Turfway,' Hays said. 'I've been fortunate to work under some of the best in the business and I'm proud to follow in their footsteps.' Ben Huffman, vice president of racing for Churchill Downs, added: 'Caleb has earned this opportunity through years of steady leadership and respect from his peers. He brings integrity, character and a calm presence that's critical for a position like this. We're confident he'll continue the high standards that define our starting gate.' Stephens spent the bulk of his career at Golden Gate Fields and previously worked at Bay Meadows before its closure in 2008. 'Todd brings a wealth of experience during his time in the Upper Northwest,' said Baley Hare, Ellis Park racing secretary. 'He'll be a big asset to our racing program.' Both Hays and Stephens start their new roles immediately. This story was originally reported by Paulick Report on Jul 4, 2025, where it first appeared.
