Malaysian security guard counts cost of viral knockout by MMA coach: ‘I was embarrassed'

A security guard in a block of flats in Malaysia thought he had the upper hand when he challenged a resident smaller than him, not realising the man he had picked on was a mixed martial arts (MMA) coach. Not only did Muhammad Alim Muhamad Adnizam, 24, end up having to get stitches, he had to watch his embarrassing knockout go viral. In addition, he was reassigned to another building and counted himself lucky he did not lose his job, the New Straits Times newspaper reported on Tuesday. In the video of the street brawl on July 10, Alim can be seen aggressively provoking another man, later identified as 22-year-old amateur MMA fighter Tony Lim, to a fight. 'Are you a boy or a girl? Hit me if you're a man,' he taunts Lim, even striking his own head at one point and calling Lim a pondan (transvestite). While Lim appears calm at first, Alim then starts taking off his watch and clothes – an indication that he is ready to fight. As punches are thrown, Lim acts quickly and subdues Alim in a chokehold but is told by another security guard to let Alim go. Alim picks himself up and challenges Lim to continue fighting but is knocked out in one punch, which sends him reeling against a metal pole. Lim told The Rakyat Post news portal on Thursday that the ill feelings started about two weeks before the fight, when he intervened to help an elderly resident who was being attacked by Alim.

Brutal street brawl erupts after women try to claim parking spot by standing in the way of driver – who's in the wrong?

A BRUTAL street brawl erupted after two women tried to claim a parking spot by standing in the way of a driver. The viral video taken in Queens, New York, has reignited a debate on whether it's ever right to claim a public space using an item - or your body. 5 5 5 Mom and daughter duo Andreea Dumitru, 45, and Sabrina Starman, 21, launched a heinous attack on driver Jada McPherson as she tried to park into a Ridgewood street. But the pair were allegedly "guarding" the space - with their bodies. An unidentified man also joined in on the horror brawl, fighting McPherson, but fled the area before cops arrived, authorities said. After McPherson attempted to find another spot on the block at 18-28 Putnam Ave, she return to tell the mom and daughter that they couldn't guard parking spots, she told The NY Post previously. It was then the unknown man was said to have gone "ballistic" while Dumitru and Starman hurled racist language at McPherson. Shocking footage shows McPherson expressing her outrage at the empty space being reserved, before Dumitru and Starman approach her. It is at this point the mom and daughter duo slam her to the ground and pull her hair as the unknown neighbour joins in on the vile chaos. Starman and Dumitru were arrested and charged with first-degree assault and second-degree harassment, cops said. They have since apologised for the horrific fight after they received online death threats. McPherson doesn't accept their sorry's though, she told the Post, as she believes "the apologies are only because of how much outreach the video is getting and I don't think the apology is wholesome". Moment huge fight breaks out at Benidorm swimming pool in front of shocked tourists She added: "I don't think it's from their hearts, like deep down. "But I just hope they could see or see what they did wrong and kind of get a better understanding of how to operate or act in certain situations from this situation." The incident has divided people online on whether it's right to guard a space. One Ridgewood resident told the newspaper: "Honestly, if you have a friend that you know is literally coming around the corner in like a minute? "Yeah, what's the problem with that? But standing there longer than five minutes - absolutely not." "But that's just how New Yorkers are, territorial. I understand why, but it's not something I'd ever consider doing." But another argued they wouldn't be worth putting your safety at risk for a space. They said: "I personally wouldn't get into a fight over it [...] because of how people drive here, I would not put my body on the line in front of cars. "I'd be scared to stand in the street to save a spot. Because of how people drive here, I wouldn't put my body on the line." 5 5

Moment street brawl erupts next to crashed £106k BMW as women yank each other's hair in front of horrified onlookers

THIS is the moment a violent street brawl erupts next to a crashed BMW as two women yank each other's hair in front of horrified onlookers. The crashed BMW i8 - worth £106k - could be seen with its doors wide open as bystanders watched the shocking scenes unfold on a busy London road. 3 3 The car crash sparked a dramatic street brawl between two women with one shouting at the other before pulling her by her hair in the street. The appalling bust-up is understood to have taken place outside the Earl of Camden pub in Camden, North London on June 19. The scuffle broke out after a luxury BMW sports car reportedly ploughed into a parked motor. Swerving right, the vehicle then came to a halt at the crossroads of Parkway and Albert St. The BMW is visibly damaged with debris littering the road as the violence ensued. One shocked witness said that the row erupted after two women reportedly mocked the BMW driver's skills. A woman passenger then exited the vehicle and confronted the pair in a rage. Two bystanders on the street then stepped in to try and break up the unfolding violence. And a man, who appears to have been driving the BMW, can be seen jumping out the motor and joining the fray. Horrified onlookers can be seen watching the drama unfold and recording the incident on their phones. Cem Ozmand, 30, told the Mail: "There were no injuries. "Police came ten minutes later and questioned the driver and his partner." A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "Officers responded to reports of an altercation following a damage-only road traffic collision in Parkway, Camden at 3.36pm on Thursday, June 19. "Police spoke to a 19-year-old woman following an allegation she assaulted the other driver. "The incident was resolved using a community resolution order - a process in which reparations are made following the agreement of the victim. "No one was arrested and the matter was closed." The shocking incident follows another moment of road rage when a furious driver headbutted a van's window and launched into a furious rant earlier this month. In incredible footage, the hot-headed driver can be seen with his face close to the driver-side window of the other van, shouting at the motorist. As other frustrated motorists begin to blare their horns, it appears to set the angered van driver off, inspiring him to smack his head against the other van's window. And in May, a man stormed onto a bus to confront the driver who he said crashed into his car.

Moment reckless driver sparks street brawl after crashing her £106,000 BMW i8 into parked car on busy London street

This is the shocking moment a reckless driver is captured sparking a violent street brawl after crashing her £106,000 BMW i8 into a parked car on a busy London road. Dramatic footage of the scuffle showed an enraged women appearing to shout and then pull another individual by her hair in the street while a crowd of stunned onlookers watched on. The appalling bust-up is understood to have taken place in Camden, north London, on June 19. It is said to have began after a luxury BMW sports car ploughed into a parked vehicle before swerving right and then coming to an abrupt halt at the crossroads of Parkway and Albert St. Cem Ozmand, 30, who witnessed the incident, said that he believed the vicious row erupted after two women reportedly mocked the driver's skills, prompting the female passenger to storm out of the vehicle and confront the pair. Eventually, two other individuals stepped in, attempting to help break up the violence. Reflecting on the shocking ordeal which occurred just after 3pm, Mr Cem said: 'There were no injuries. Police came ten minutes later and questioned the driver and his partner.' The Metropolitan Police has been approached for comment. Dramatic footage of the scuffle showed an enraged women appearing to shout and then pull another individual by her hair in the street while a crowd of stunned onlookers watched on The incident is said to have began after a luxury BMW sports car ploughed into a parked vehicle before swerving right and then coming to an abrupt halt at the crossroads of Parkway and Albert St It comes amid a string of recent road rage incidents, including one where an enraged motorist was caught throwing punches at a recovery truck driver in a furious bust up at a roundabout in Southall, west London, in April. Shocking footage showed the moment the two men, who both got out of their vehicles at the busy crossing, began to argue. One of the men, dressed in an orange hi-viz jacket, is seen to jump backwards while the other motorist begins to swing wild punches at him. Angry drivers from the queue behind can then be heard honking their horns as the fight left them unable to move forward. Eventually another man intervenes and puts himself between the two men to calm the situation down, before guiding one of them back to his car. The worker also walks back to his vehicle, touching his face. In another damning incident of road range, a screaming woman was captured on video punching a driver's window and smashing the bonnet. The shocking footage shows a group of three females surrounding a Fiat 500 which was being driven by a teenage girl. The woman was seen storming over to the car before screaming and swearing at the driver while bashing the bonnet. Her friend tries to hold her back but she brushes her off and continues to rage on. She then walked over to the passenger side and tried to open the door but when she couldn't, punched the window instead. The woman then finally walks away with the two other individuals, back to a Ford Fiesta, which appears to be blocking the country road. But before getting back in the car she does not hesitate to scream once more and flipped the teen driver off. It is understood the teen driver had been tailgated by a male driver while following the speed limit, before he overtook her and stopped in the road. That is when the hysterical woman and her two friends jumped out of the car and the blonde went on her verbal rampage. The male drove the getaway car after the verbal attack and the teenager sought to get his number plate. The incident is said to have happened on April 10 in Mottingham, south-east London. It comes as a record number of Brits were killed in 2023 as a result of 'road rage' motorists. Government figures revealed that up to 143 people died in accidents that police said were triggered by aggressive driving. In total, there were 2,722 collisions where police said 'aggressive driving behaviour' was a contributing factor. They led to a total of 4,084 casualties. Aggressive driving is understood to encompass a number of behaviours such as speeding, tailgating, reckless or careless driving and road rage. While there is no specific law for road rage incidents in the UK, behaviour that takes place during a road rage incident can result in charges for particular offences that fall under the Public Order Act of 1986.

Shocking moment British tourists leap out of the way as violent brawl breaks out around them between cops and street sellers at Marbella restaurant

This is the moment British holidaymakers were forced to dive out the way of a street brawl between Marbella cops and beach vendors at a busy restaurant. Footage shared this week showed a police officer scrapping with at least two street vendors at what appears to be a busy beach resort, forcing paying customers to flee the scene. The vendors, known locally as 'looky looky men', were seen pummelling one cop after taking him down. In a separate video, one vendor appeared to have broken part of the officer's helmet while punching him in the face. As one man repeatedly punched and kicked the police officer, the other took a moment to pick up his fallen wares. The two vendors then quickly escape, and the beaten officer was joined by a backup cop, all while tourists vacated the area. In the background, one British man was heard muttering: 'What the f***? [That was] mental.' Another was heard exclaiming: 'That was the most insane thing I've ever seen.' The manager of the establishment shouts: 'Get out of here! NOT in the [bar], NOT in the [bar]!' The scenes of chaos came amid one of many raids on illegal street vending in the Costa del Sol. Spanish authorities are cracking down on beach vendors to clean up the image of the region, as tourism season gets underway. Beach vendors rarely have licences to sell their products, which are often counterfeit, and are therefore often considered illegal. But cops are also cracking down on tourists. Last month, MailOnline reported that holidaymakers staying at a four-star hotel in Spain were prevented from leaving via the front door - after local police said it was not conforming with tourism regulations and locked it up. Photos showed steel cables and a large notice on the entrance to the Vivemar Hotel on the Costa del Sol saying 'precintado' or 'sealed off' in English. Around 200 guests staying at the hotel in the popular resort of Benalmadena Costa were made to exit the establishment via a ground-floor garage. A spokesperson for the local town hall said it had instructed police to seal off the front entrance to the hotel after it failed to see it listed in the official tourist accommodation register. Raul Campos told local paper Sur: 'We have asked in the Junta de Andalucia's Tourism Department and they say the company that operates the hotel is not in the official register. 'That means it can't be officially opened as it does not have the proper documentation.' He went on to insist council officials had warned the hotel management about today's police action at the end of March. Manager Alberto Tusquellas, who a hotel receptionist said was in meetings and unavailable, has blamed things on a 'red tape' hiccup. He told local press a Spanish firm called Vive Resort Management SL began operating the hotel around a year ago with a sublease agreement using a previous operator's registration number. However, Mr Tusquellas said this had now been revoked because of a bureaucratic problem they were trying to fix. The hotel operator's version of events has been contradicted by the building's owners who said the sublease was the subject of ongoing civil and criminal court action after they discovered the company they had signed a contract with to run the hotel had agreed to sublet it to another firm without their knowledge.
