This new Google Pixel 10 Pro XL leak leaves almost nothing to the imagination

Google's biggest phone this year is no longer a mystery. Just ahead of the Pixel 10 launch event on August 20, new leaked renders have revealed the Pixel 10 Pro XL in detail. The images shared show the phone in "Moonstone" and "Obsidian" color options. The Pixel 10 Pro XL looks very similar to the other Pixel 10 models. It has the same rounded corners, a metal frame, and a pill-shaped rear camera bar. The front features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with slim bezels and a centered selfie camera. Like its predecessor, the phone includes a temperature sensor in the rear camera module. Inside, the Pixel 10 Pro XL is expected to run on Google's new Tensor G5 chip and have 16GB of RAM. Unlike the regular Pro model, which may still start at 128GB, the XL version will begin at 256GB. Buyers will also be able to choose between 512GB and 1TB options. The camera system seems unchanged from the Pixel 9 Pro : a 50MP main lens, a 48MP ultra-wide, and a 48MP telephoto camera. The front camera stays at 32MP. While the hardware is familiar, Google is likely to add new software features through its AI tools. One of the biggest changes is reportedly the battery: the Pixel 10 Pro XL is rumored to have a 5200mAh battery, which would be the largest ever in a Pixel phone. Additionally, it is rumored to support 39W wired charging and 15W wireless charging through Qi2. In Germany, the source of the leak, the price is expected to remain about the same starting at 1299 euros. We are expecting the Pixel 10 Pro XL to launch alongside the rest of the Pixel line, such as the Pixel 10 , Pixel 10 Pro , Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Pixel Watch 4, and Pixel Buds 2a at the upcoming Made by Google event — although not all devices may be available at launch in every region. With stiff competition from the Galaxy S25 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 7, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max (not to mention Apple's upcoming line of iPhones), Google's strategy seems focused on fine-tuning rather than major changes. I believe that for the new Pixel 10 series to stand out, it may depend more on its software experience and long-term support than flashy hardware upgrades.

Galaxy S26 Edge leak reveals just how thin Samsung's next Edge could be

Ryan Haines / Android Authority TL;DR A leaker has claimed that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge will be 5.5mm thin. This means it could be as thick as the rumored iPhone 17 Air and slightly thinner than the Galaxy S25 Edge. The leaker also reiterated that the phone could have a 4,200mAh battery. Numerous leaks suggest that Samsung will replace the Galaxy S26 Plus with the Galaxy S26 Edge. This phone is expected to offer a thin form factor similar to that of the Galaxy S25 Edge, and we've now got a better idea of what to expect. Leaker Ice Universe has claimed on Twitter that the Galaxy S26 Edge will be 5.5mm thick. That would make it 0.3mm thinner than the Galaxy S25 Edge, which measures 5.8mm thick. It would also be on par with the iPhone 17 Air's rumored thickness. The tipster also reiterated previous claims that the new phone would have a 4,200mAh battery. That would be a small but welcome boost over the Galaxy S25 Edge's 3,900mAh battery. It would also be a notable achievement given the apparent thinner design. This capacity would also be notably bigger than the iPhone 17 Air's rumored ~2,900mAh battery. Colleague Ryan Haines praised the current model's slim and light design, build quality, and 'solid' main camera in his Galaxy S25 Edge review. However, Ryan criticized the phone's 'mediocre' battery life, poor thermals, slow charging, and lack of a tele camera. It's no wonder that he gave the device three out of five stars. So we really hope the Galaxy S26 Edge isn't a repeat performance. This news also comes after we recently discovered evidence that Samsung could shake up the Galaxy S26 series branding. The evidence suggests we could see a Galaxy S26 Pro, Galaxy S26 Edge, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. The Pro model would replace the base S26, while the S26 Edge would apparently replace the S26 Plus. Follow

Samsung's response to an iPhone Air could be even slimmer, with a bigger battery

What's happened? A reliable leaker has suggested Samsung's next ultra-thin flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S26 Edge, might pack a bigger battery than its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge. Tipster UniverseIce posted on X 'The battery information I got for the S26 Edge is 4,400mAh.' However, it's worth taking this information with a pinch of salt, as they also note 'There seems to be some conflict here, I will double-check the information.' This battery capacity is an improvement on earlier rumors which suggested Samsung would bump the power pack to 4,200mAh on the Galaxy S26 Edge. This is important because: Being able to cram a larger battery into a slender phone is a positive technological achievement, allowing manufacturers to develop a wider range of form factors, without having to compromise so much on battery life. The current Galaxy S25 Edge comes with a 3,900mAh battery packed into its svelte 5.8mm frame. While the S25 Edge generally impressed in our review, we found the battery life was disappointing, especially when we pushed the phone with gaming. If Samsung works out a way to fit a larger power pack into the Galaxy S26 Edge, it should improve battery life – but that's only part of the problem. We also noted that it wasn't just the size of the battery in the S25 Edge, with heat dissipation also a problem. Samsung will need to find a better way to reduce heat build up if it wants to give us impressive battery life. Recommended Videos Why should I care? An earlier post from UniverseIce suggested the S26 Edge will also be slimmer than its predecessor while utilizing new battery technology to increase capacity. Battery technology is one of the major hurdles companies are yet to truly overcome when it comes to decreasing physical size while increasing longevity. Chinese phone maker Honor has been using carbon silicon batteries in its recent foldable phones, allowing it to pack high capacity power packs into extremely thin devices. The foldable Honor Magic V5 comes with a sizable 5,820mAh battery (split into two) in a frame which is just 4.1mm thin when unfolded (and 8.8mm folded). Plus, with Apple hotly tipped to launch the rumored iPhone Air alongside the iPhone 17 series later this year, the thin-phone competition could be about to explode. Okay, so what's next? We'll be closely watching Apple's next iPhone launch event – which we expect to happen in mid-September – to see if the iPhone Air does make an appearance. If it does, Samsung will be looking to trump it with the Galaxy S26 Edge in the first half of next year.

All Pixel 10 models may be heavier than before

The Pixel 9 Series | Image credit — PhoneArena It appears that all four models in the Pixel 10 series may be getting a little heavier this year. A new leak with the complete dimensions of the Pixel 10 , Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold reveals that Google might be making very slight changes across the leaked measures, published by Android Headlines, include the potential footprints and weights of the four Pixel 10 smartphones. While some of the dimensions are slightly different, some changes might be big enough to render older cases unusable. Here are the specific numbers: Pixel 10 - 152.8 x 72.0 x 8.6 mm and 204g - 152.8 x 72.0 x 8.6 mm and 204g Pixel 10 Pro - 152.8 x 72.0 x 8.6 mm and 207g - 152.8 x 72.0 x 8.6 mm and 207g Pixel 10 Pro XL - 162.8 x 76.6 x 8.5 mm and 232g XL - 162.8 x 76.6 x 8.5 mm and 232g Pixel 10 Pro Fold , unfolded - 155.2 x 150.4 x 5.2 mm and 258 , unfolded - 155.2 x 150.4 x 5.2 mm and 258 Pixel 10 Pro Fold , folded - 155.2 x 76.3 x 10.8 mm and 258g If you remember the Pixel 9 dimensions by heart, congratulations, because you already know the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro keep the width and height unchanged, but may be just 0.1 mm thicker than last year. More importantly, they might be 6 and 8 g heavier than their dimensions of the Pixel 10 Pro XL are the same as those of the Pixel 9 Pro XL, but the weight change is quite significant. The new model might be 11 g heavier, which is a change of about 5%. That might sound insignificant, but in practice, it is very likely to be a noticeable change. Pixel 10 Pro Fold is where Google goes against the trends by doing nothing. The new foldable is slightly narrower when folded, but somehow wider when unfolded. More interestingly, the phone might be 0.1 mm thicker when unfolded and 0.3 mm thicker when folded, which is exactly the opposite of the thinner Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is also 1 g heavier, though that's unlikely to be a noticeable change. While none of the measures are confirmed by Google, they aren't surprising. We don't expect any major changes to the design or the internal build of the Pixel 10 . The Pixel 10 series is set to premiere at the August 20 Made by Google event, when we'll learn all the details about all devices.
