Miller Industries, Inc. (MLR): A Bull Case Theory
We came across a bullish thesis on Miller Industries, Inc. (MLR) on Flyover Stocks' Substack. In this article, we will summarize the bulls' thesis on MLR. Miller Industries, Inc. (MLR)'s share was trading at $44.34 as of 23rd March. MLR's trailing P/E was 9.45 according to Yahoo Finance. nitinut380 / Miller Industries, headquartered in the small town of Ooltewah, Tennessee, is the world's largest manufacturer of towing and recovery equipment, serving a critical but often overlooked niche. Founded in 1990 by William Miller, the company aggressively consolidated the fragmented towing equipment market by acquiring major brands like Holmes, Century, and Vulcan International during a depressed market, streamlining operations and boosting efficiency. Since going public in 1994, Miller has grown steadily with revenue, EBITDA, and net income increasing at annual rates of 8.2%, 11.4%, and 13.3%, respectively. Despite low analyst coverage and operating in an unglamorous industry, the company maintains a clean balance sheet and has recently increased focus on returning value to shareholders through dividends and buybacks. Miller's specialized heavy-duty equipment is essential for roadside recovery, disaster response, and off-highway equipment transport, making it a key player in an essential infrastructure sector. Current challenges for Miller include navigating California's stringent Advanced Clean Technology (ACT) regulations, managing inventory cycles, and dealing with supply chain and tariff complexities. These regulatory and operational factors will influence near-term performance, but Miller's entrenched market leadership, ongoing consolidation strategy, and focus on shareholder returns position it well for sustainable growth. The company's niche expertise and steady expansion in a stable industry offer investors a classic 'Flyover Stock' profile: solid fundamentals, modest but consistent growth, and limited market hype, making Miller Industries a compelling candidate for those seeking long-term exposure to a resilient industrial equipment manufacturer with attractive valuation and clear growth prospects. Miller Industries, Inc. (MLR) is not on our list of the 30 Most Popular Stocks Among Hedge Funds. 2026 Chevrolet Suburban: What We Know So Far
Overview The 2026 Chevrolet Suburban shares its underpinnings with the Tahoe SUV and the Silverado 1500 pickup truck, both of which are proven workhorses with similar towing and hauling credentials. The Suburban and Tahoe, however, can seat up to nine across its three rows of seats, a feature their pickup-truck sibling can't match. Adults can't fit comfortably in all rows and the Suburban's cargo bay is voluminous even with that those rearmost row of seats in use. The base-level version is extremely de-contented and best left for rental fleets, while the high-end Suburbans border on luxury territory. A gas-fed 5.3-liter V-8 engine is standard, but a higher-output 6.2-liter V-8 is optional; also optional is a fuel-efficient turbodiesel inline-six. What's New for 2026? The Suburban was given a styling refresh just last year, so for 2026 we expect to see no major updates. Pricing and Which One to Buy The price of the 2026 Chevrolet Suburban is expected to start around $65,000 and go up to $84,000 depending on the trim and options. LS $65,000 (est) LT $68,000 (est) RST $73,000 (est) Z71 $75,000 (est) Premier $79,000 (est) High Country $84,000 (est) 0 $25k $50k $75k $100k $125k $150k We'd recommend the RST for its sporty appearance, which includes blacked-out exterior trim and 22-inch wheels. It also features desirable standard goodies such as a Bose stereo, leather first- and second-row seats, heated front seats with memory settings, and a power-operated liftgate. Given the choice of all three engines, we'd choose the diesel inline-six for its fuel efficiency and effortless muscle. This content is imported from Third party. You may be able to find the same content in another format, or you may be able to find more information, at their web site. Engine, Transmission, and Performance A 355-hp 5.3-liter V-8 is the default engine, but for more grunt, a 420-hp 6.2-liter V-8 is optional. A 305-hp diesel 3.0-liter inline-six is also available and is both torquey and fuel-efficient. All three engines are mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission and either rear- or all-wheel drive. The Suburban can also be fitted with adaptive dampers and an adjustable air suspension. The latter allows the big SUV's ride height to be both automatically and manually lowered or raised. This enables improved passenger accessibility, aerodynamics, and ground clearance. The rugged-looking Z71 off-road trim has 20-inch wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires, plus underbody skid plates and a two-speed transfer case that provides traditional four-wheel drive. In our initial test drive of the 2025 Suburban, we found it offers better driving dynamics than you'd expect given its size, and we enjoyed the smooth diesel engine in particular. 0–60-MPH Times We haven't yet tested the 2026 Suburban, but it should offer the same acceleration as previous models. In our testing, a Suburban with the 6.2-liter V-8 got to 60 mph in 6.1 seconds, and a diesel Suburban recorded an 8.4-second time. Towing and Payload Capacity Rear-wheel-drive Suburbans fitted with the 355-hp 5.3-liter V-8 tow the most—8300 pounds—when optioned with the available Max Trailering package. The four-wheel-drive diesel Suburban offers the lowest towing capacity in the lineup at 7800 pounds. Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG The EPA hasn't released any fuel economy information for the 2026 Suburban yet, but the 2025 model earned ratings as high as 21 mpg city, 26 mpg highway, and 23 mpg combined for diesel models, and 15 mpg city, 20 mpg highway, and 17 mpg combined for gasoline versions. Once we test a Suburban on our 75-mph highway route, which is part of our extensive testing regimen, we can evaluate its real-world mpg. We did test a Tahoe—the 'Burban's smaller sibling—fitted with the diesel-six on our highway route and it returned 27 mpg, which confirms its superior efficiency over the gas engines. We wouldn't expect a Suburban with this engine to turn in a significantly worse result, as the EPA rates the Tahoe diesel only one mile per gallon better on the highway. For more information about the Suburban's fuel economy, visit the EPA's website. Interior, Comfort, and Cargo As one of the largest SUVs, the Suburban offers a cavernous interior with plenty of room for both people and cargo. Three rows of seats can fit up to eight riders in most models (versions with the optional front bench seat can hold nine passengers, while models with the optional second-row captain's chairs can fit seven). There's enough legroom for just about anyone to find a comfortable position even in the rearmost row, especially since the second-row seats can slide fore and aft to adjust the passenger space. Behind the third row is a large cargo area that will easily swallow a family's road trip haul. The load floor is flat and low, making loading and unloading easier than in rivals with their higher floors. Entry-level models are predictably plainer than those at the more expensive end of the range, but Chevy still equips them with useful and convenient features such as automatic climate control, several power outlets, easy-to-fold second- and third-row seats, and more. The High Country model is the most luxurious; it includes posh wood trim and perforated leather upholstery and is offered with unique interior color schemes. View Interior Photos Elana Scherr | Car and Driver Infotainment and Connectivity Fans of big screens will find two of them on the dashboard of every Suburban. An 11.0-inch digital instrument cluster is tucked away in front of the driver, and a larger 17.7-inch infotainment display takes center stage. The main display is angled slightly toward the driver to help aid access to the system's functions. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, as is a Wi-Fi hot spot, and a wireless smartphone charging pad. A Bose stereo and a rear-seat entertainment system are both optional features. Safety and Driver-Assistance Features The Suburban features a suite of standard driver-assistance technologies . GM's Super Cruise hands-free driving feature is also available, but only on LT, RST, Premier, and High Country models. For more information about its crash-test results, visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) websites. Clamping company order to compensate man after his car was damaged during tow
Dublin clampers have been ordered to compensate a motorist for repairs after his car was damaged during towing last year. Oscar Adonis Marchat, of Elton Park, Sandycove, Dublin, won a small claims case against Dublin Street Parking Services Ltd. Advertisement He told Judge Peter White at Dublin District Court that he had to bring the civil action due to his car getting towed away in the city on July 16th last year. Mr Marchat testified that he had no issue with that and paid the fine, and the vehicle was unclamped. However, he told Judge White it showed a "failure signal" and would not start. The judge queried whether an anti-theft device was triggered to immobilise the car. Mr Marchat said that was not the issue, and his garage found that the steering column was damaged, "and that forced the car to shut down". Advertisement Judge White heard Mr Marchat was left with a €553 repair bill, which he referred to the clampers, asking them to pay. He alleged they responded by saying they needed a private investigator and had to appoint someone to interview him and contact his garage to look into his complaint. Ireland Revealed: Cork's illegal parking blackspots with o... Read More But by late summer they had not got in touch about seeing the car. "I tried to follow up multiple times," the motorist said. Finally, he said, the investigator had told him he had come off the case and to deal directly with the parking company again. Mr Marchat got his car fixed at his own expense and provided documentation from his garage, a quote and an explanation for the damage. With no defence entered by Dublin Street Parking Services Ltd and noting the evidence furnished, Judge White accepted that the steering column was damaged during towing and granted Mr Marchat a decree for the full repair amount.

Fraud charges against tow companies a ‘black eye' for industry: towing association
The back of a tow truck can be seen in this photo from May 22, 2025. (Miriam Valdes-Carletti) The director for the Towing and Recovery Association of Alberta said he is not surprised to see the owners of 10 towing companies facing fraud charges. Fraud charges against the 11 owners of the companies were announced on Thursday and stem from a 10-month investigation by Edmonton police, which alleges operators were inflating bills, arriving at crash sites and demanding drivers use their services and charging insurance companies for services that weren't provided. According to police, the cost of the fraudulent billing from the companies totalled more than $120,000. Don Getschel, also the owner and operator of Oil Country Towing, said the association has started seeing more predatory towing practices starting a year-and-a-half ago. 'When Ontario regulated their industry, we started to see an influx of new towing companies popping up, and some of the ones that we had here starting to change the practices,' he said. 'We started to see the bills start to get higher and higher and higher.' Getschel said he was seeing inflated charges of upwards of $5,500 for a service he would charge $500 for. Police said they saw the same. The practice is a major concern for the association and members, he added, because it hurts the industry as a whole. 'It gives us a black eye … It just makes us all look like a bunch of criminals when 99 per cent of the towers that work in Alberta are hard-working, law-abiding citizens.' Edmonton Police Service Det. Bryan Niehaus said the tactics being used by these companies are relatively new to Alberta and have been increasing over the past two years. He said the current investigation began with a man trying to get his vehicle back from a towing company. 'His insurance company wasn't going to cover the cost just due to some technicalities, and (the company) wanted him to pay $5,000 to get it out of their holding lot,' Niehaus said. 'He came to the police and it kind of just went from there.' Niehaus and Getschel explained that predatory companies take advantage of people who are in a vulnerable position after a crash. Drivers can protect themselves by knowing their rights and standing up for themselves should a tow truck arrive unsolicited. 'If a tow truck company is just stopping by the collision and soliciting them for business, that actually is a bylaw offence, and that there's probably something behind it in regards to why they want to get that tow so bad,' Niehaus said. 'You have the right to pick your tow provider. You have a right to ask for a quote up front. Any reputable toll company will do that,' Getschel said. 'It's your right to have your vehicle taken wherever you want.' More information on predatory towing can be found on the Alberta Motor Association website, including that you have the right to refuse towing services, the right to access your vehicle during a storage facility's business hours and the right to an itemized invoice before paying. If a company shows up and won't leave when asked, Niehaus said to call the police. 'Say, 'I'm involved in a collision. There's tow trucks here, they won't leave me alone.' You will get a police response for that.' CTV News Edmonton reached out to four of the companies named by police. One declined an interview and the three others weren't available. Police said on Thursday that reports of fraud from additional towing companies are under investigation.

Several Edmonton tow truck companies charged with fraudulent billing
After a 10-month investigation, several local tow truck companies have been charged with fraud. On Wednesday, police announced that 11 owners and 10 local companies were charged in relation to a police investigation last summer into fraudulent bills sent to insurance companies. In July 2024, police discovered that numerous tow truck companies in Edmonton were reportedly fraudulently billing insurance companies for services that weren't provided, said police in a news release. Police said businesses were allegedly inflating bills and charging upwards of $5,000 for a basic collision tow that typically would only cost a few hundred dollars. Police said they estimate the 10 companies have fraudulently billed insurance companies for more than $120,000. Police are continuing to investigate other possible tow truck companies for reports of fraud. 'Fraud through direct billing to an insurance company can be especially difficult for the policy holder to notice,' said Det. Bryan Niehaus with the EPS investigation response team in a news release. Investigators believe the business owners have no professional relationship with one another. Over the last three months, police have charged: Mostafa Khalaf, 28, of AMK Towing Madlool Traim, 52, of Avenue Towing Mahmoud El Annan, 42, of Discount Towing Ltd. Parminder Swatch, 46 and Ravinder Toor, 51, of Edmonton Towing Services Mehdi El Alouanne, 41, of Infinity Towing and Recovery Services Corp. Mahmoud Mahdaoui, 42, of My Big Tow Inc. Hasan Al-Adhban, 49, of Same Boss Towing Ltd. Sukhijinder Singh, 38, of TBT Towing Ltd. Ahmed Ait Rais, 38, of Unlimited Towing and Recovery Service Ltd. Rojan Sivarajah, 35, of 2652736 Alberta Inc. Police said court dates have taken place in May. 'It is always best to contact your insurance provider for a complete invoice of services after using a tow truck company. As always, motorists have the right to choose their tow truck provider and should not feel obligated to accept services at the scene of a collision,' said Niehaus.
