Trooper injured after fleeing driver crashes into his patrol car and runs away
A Georgia State Patrol trooper is recovering after receiving injuries during a chase with another driver. The trooper tried pulling over a silver Hyundai Sonata along on I-85 South at Indian Trail Road on Monday evening for a seatbelt violation, but the driver of the Sonata started speeding away. GSP said the trooper chased the driver along I-85 south, onto I-285 East. The driver of the Sonata then sped onto Lavista Road. The driver then started to turn onto Fellowship Road, but quickly turned back and ended up hitting the trooper's patrol cruiser on the driver's side. The driver of the Sonata then got out of the car and ran away. The trooper received minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated. Luckily, no one else was injured in this incident.

Illinois State Police trooper injured in crash on I-57 ramp in Chicago's south suburbs
An Illinois State Police trooper was hospitalized Thursday afternoon after a cruiser was hit by a wrong-way driver on a ramp from Interstate 57 in Chicago's southern suburbs. The crash happened on the ramp from 159th Street to I-57 in Markham. The squad car ended up partially off the road. Information about the trooper's condition, and about whether there were any arrests or citations, was not immediately available.

Charges pending in crash that injured Maryland state trooper, K-9s
HARFORD, Md. (DC News Now) — Charges are pending against the driver involved in a crash that injured a Maryland State Police trooper and two K-9s Friday, according to Maryland State Police. According to police, at 3:20 p.m., the trooper was on duty and traveling westbound on Route 155 with two K-9s in the car. A driver of a 2005 Isuzu Ascender was heading eastbound when they crossed over to the westbound lane. Maryland trooper, K-9s involved in Bel Air collision with SUV The patrol car then overturned, and the trooper and the K-9s were transported to the hospital for treatment. Police say one K-9 remains in the hospital while the trooper and the other K-9 have since been released. The driver of the Isuzu was identified as a 43-year-old woman of Linthicum who was also hurt in the crash and transported to the hospital. NYSP: Woman stabs two troopers during traffic stop for stolen vehicle
BOLIVAR, N.Y. (WETM) — A New York State Trooper is in serious condition, and another is hurt after a woman stabbed them during a traffic stop, regarding a stolen vehicle, in the parking lot of a gas station in the Village of Bolivar, according to the New York State Police (NYSP). According to NYSP, around 3:25 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, troopers from the Amity State Police Barracks came across a stolen vehicle in the Village of Bolivar. Soon after spotting the vehicle, troopers carried out a vehicle and traffic stop in the parking lot of Crosby's Gas Station, located at 500 Main, in the Village of Bolivar, NYSP said. NYSP further stated that while troopers were arresting the female, who NYSP explained was thought to have stolen the vehicle, she turned violent, stabbing one trooper right above the eye and the other in his head. Binghamton woman arrested after multi-state reckless driving incident In response, one of the troopers pulled out and fired his gun, but did not hit the woman, NYSP said. The woman had minor injuries and was taken into custody, NYSP explained. The trooper who experienced trauma to the eye area is in serious condition, NYSP added, and is being taken to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester for treatment. NYSP stated the woman is awaiting her charges and there is no public threat. An investigation is ongoing and 18 News will provide more information as it becomes available. What we know MSP said the incident happened during a traffic stop on Wyoming above the Lodge. Officials say the suspected driver took a gun out and a shootout began. Both the shooter and the officer were shot. The trooper was taken to a hospital where he is expected to survive his injuries. Meanwhile, the suspect, a 41-year-old man from Highland Park, was shot and killed, according to authorities. What we don't know State police had not identified the suspect as of Friday night.
