Boux Avenue have baffled customers with their new bum-less pants that ‘show everything' and will still give you a VPL
A WOMAN shopping for a new pair of pants was left baffled by a bizarre 'bumless' style, featuring a large hole over the bottom. Charmaine Hargreaves was browsing Boux Avenue looking for fresh underwear, when she noticed the strange look. The 'Brianna lace bumpless briefs' were on sale for just £3, down from £9, but they have significantly less material than you might expect. Featuring a lace design, they appear to be standard briefs from the front – but at the back, there is a large oval slit over the bum. Charmaine shared the find on Facebook, writing, 'Being a Yorkshire woman, I like a good bargain. 'Being an Equestrian, it's very rare I buy anything for myself. 'My horses cost as much as another mortgage and get everything they need and more, while I wear the same clothes day in, day out until they fall apart. 'Now it's not often I talk about my undergarments to anyone…But I thought to myself, it's about time I treat myself to a few new pairs, as mine are quite literally falling to pieces. 'I went on a popular website to see if I could find a bargain under the 'sale' section. 'I came across these at £3 a pair and thought that seemed reasonable. 'I was a little confused as to the meaning of 'bumless briefs' and thought I best check this out before I make any sudden decisions. 'All I can say is this is… interesting. Primark drops brand new collection of bikinis in gingham, floral and colour block designs - and they'll set you back just £2.50 per piece 'For what reason would someone want their butt crack on a show? 'Is it sexy? Is it to make it easier to use the toilet? 'Thought I was young, but maybe being put off by this attire is showing my age.' The best celeb lingerie collections for curvy women SVELTE celebs are flogging smalls in tiny sizes – but how do they fare on curves? Fabulous' Fashion Editor, Clemmie Fieldsend, shops the must-have undies. One person commented: 'What's the point'? 'I wonder what they do with the tiny piece of material left…behind!?!?' another user wondered. Someone else joked: 'Maybe for female plumbers to make them look like their male counterparts when working.' 'Surely you'd still have to remove them when using the toilet? It's almost impossible not to wee at the same time as a poo isn't it?' questioned one viewer. Another joked: 'It's like a slot machine.' While this particular style appears to have since sold out, Boux Avenue has nearly a dozen similar styles currently for sale, featuring the same hole around the bottom.

Australian Fashion Week 2025: Pip Edwards leads near-nude rush with underwear as outerwear trend
Pip Edwards has led the charge at Australian Fashion Week where, in an ironic twist, actual clothing was out of style. 'Inside out, outside in … no rules,' the designer said while posing for photos and flaunting the season's must-have item: underwear. The tracksuit mogul was finally free from the restraints of the Sporty Spice athleisure that had covered her body for so long. Strutting into the runway show for Australian suiting brand Farage, the 45-year-old — who last year stepped down from her namesake sportswear brand P.E. Nation — shrugged off the thick nylon fabrics of yore to reveal … not much. At Fashion Week this year, less is more. What you see is what you get – whether you want to, or not. Exposed underwear – visible briefs, bras and G-bangers under sheer dresses – had slipped off the runways and onto the streets. The emperor has no clothes, and neither do the influencers. While the trend had started to creep in at last year's Fashion Week in Sydney, it seemed even more people were now comfortable with the idea of flashing their jocks. Celebrity stylist Elliot Garnaut said the fad had 'surged dramatically' — led by Miu Miu and followed by Aussie designers like Beare Park and Mariam Seddiq, who incorporated sheer fabrics and lingerie-inspired elements into their collections shown this week. ' … The trend took a bolder turn (this year),' said Garnaut, whose A-list clients include radio host Carrie Bickmore and model Shanina Shaik. 'Think: underwear worn proudly over leggings, or no pants at all — just high-cut briefs and a whole lot of confidence. It's all about personality and styling with intent … because there's a fine line between fashion-forward and looking like you left the house before the dry cleaning was ready!' Internet personality Sopha Dophaa, who has about 1.4 million followers on TikTok, said she was emulating the ultimate fashion icon: 'Captain Underpants.' Her lewk? White briefs pulled over a pair of tights. 'It's weird. It's not a normal thing,' she said. 'I wouldn't do this on a normal day. (The trend) started last year but this year I'm trying to embrace it.' Her friend had worn the exact same pair of jocks and tights earlier in the day. Then Sopha Dophaa (real name Sophia Begg) decided to yank them on. A communal pair of jocks? Don't judge. It's called far-shun. And Sopha Dophaa's not the only person rocking second-hand underwear. 'This bra isn't even mine, it's my daughter's,' image consultant Jenny Austin, 51, said about the exposed $30 Bonds underwear she nicked from her child's bedroom that morning. Content creator Jazzlin Jarrett, 21, said she paid $2000 on fashion resale marketplace Depop for a used briefs-and-bralette combo from luxury designer Miu Miu. 'I think it's pretty affordable compared to brand new,' she said, before admitting she was 'nervous' to leave the house with the lingerie on-show. For content creator Rachel Johnston, 24, wearing her underwear for all to see was about 'breaking down the boundaries and pushing the limits'. She said she regularly wears the look 'pretty much anywhere'. 'I get positive reactions from girls … but it's a different reaction from the guys,' she said. 'It's a little more sexual … But I do it for the girls.' Celebrity stylist Elliot Garnaut, said it's 'crucial to consider your setting' and issued a warning to perhaps avoid experimenting with the style at more demure affairs, like black tie weddings. Cristal Dale, 22, decided underwear simply wasn't revealing enough. She ditched her bra completely and instead decided to wear a belt as a top. 'I just came up with it,' she said. 'I grabbed the belt off the jacket and off I went.' At Carriageworks, the industrial venue where Fashion week is staged, a young man crashed the festival and seemingly mocked proceedings by strutting around in a pair of Budgy Smugglers. One young woman, wearing a lace corset as a top, was not impressed. 'Attention seeker,' she muttered.

Caught on camera: Mechanic pleads guilty to stealing woman's underwear in Ipoh
IPOH, May 13 — A mechanic was charged in the Magistrate's court here for stealing a 46-year-old woman's underwear last week. Sin Kim Fatt, 48, pleaded guilty to the charge, which was read in Mandarin before magistrate Siti Nora Shariff. Sin was accused of stealing the underwear from the woman's house on Lorong Kledang Timur 15A, Bandar Baru Menglembu, Menglembu here at 11.23am on May 6. He was charged under Section 379 of the Penal Code, which provides for a penalty of up to seven years in prison, a fine, or both. Sin's act was allegedly captured on closed-circuit television (CCTV), showing the suspect riding a motorcycle, stopping in front of the house and stealing undergarments that the victim had hung on the gate to dry. Deputy Public Prosecutor Monisha Pandey appeared for the prosecution, while Sin was represented by lawyer Nurul Syuhada Mohd Yusof from the National Legal Aid Foundation (YBGK). Monisha requested the sentencing to be postponed pending presentation of the case facts and sentencing submission. She also proposed bail be set at RM7,000. However, Nurul appealed for a lower amount, saying that Sin earns a low income of RM2,000 a month, and has five children — one still in school and another who is disabled. The court set bail at RM1,500 with one surety and fixed May 30 for mention.

I don't rate Skims undies but found a Tesco dupe that's 10 times better – they're the comfiest I've ever tried & cost £3
SKIMS are one of the most popular underwear brands in the world. But one woman, who previously splashed out on some undies from Kim Kardashian's brand, has revealed she's found a dupe she says are even better. 3 Not only that, but it's significantly cheaper too. Chloe took to her TikTok page to share the epic find from her local Tesco, as she questioned why "no one is talking about it" when it's so good. As she began the video, she said that the black bodysuit she was wearing was also from the supermarket's range. "It does the sculpting, it cinches you in, it's so so good and so comfy. "I literally wear them every single day." Chloe went on to show the £3 underwear she'd picked up on her latest Tesco trip, as she insisted they're "comfier than Skims". "I own Skims underwear and I have found, if I'm honest with you, it to be not brilliant quality after a couple of washes," she continued. "Don't get me wrong - my bra underneath this is Skims, I'm a Skims Stan. "But their underwear, and specifically their thongs or their briefs - I find them really comfortable, but I do find at the same time that after a couple of washes they're basically unusable. "Like a lot of the Skims logos and stuff fall off. They don't look as great." Tesco's F&F: Affordable Style Inspired by SKIMS However, Chloe insisted the Tesco thongs, which are "completely seamless", are "the comfiest underwear I've ever, ever tried". "They're super stretchy, like ridiculously stretchy," she gushed. "But I don't understand why no one's going on about it because they're generally the comfiest underwear I've ever had." While the thongs are usually £6 each for a pack of two - compared to Skims' £22 version - Chloe actually got hers for £3 each as they're currently on offer. They also come in a variety of colours, including nude shades. "So, so worth it," Chloe captioned her video. The success of SKIMS Initially conceived as a vanity project by Kim Kardashian, Skims has metamorphosed into one of the most sought-after lingerie brands, enlisting high-profile names like Jude Bellingham and Nicola Coughlan. The brand celebrates bodies of all shapes and sizes, and Nicola's natural curves make her a perfect fit. Nicola's stunning debut in a floral "goddess" campaign came just days after Jude Bellingham, the 20-year-old England football star, showcased the men's line. Kim praised Nicola, saying: "Nicola is such an inspiration on screen and beyond, and she really brought the campaign to life with her undeniable beauty and energy." Since its 2019 launch, Skims has attracted a star-studded roster including Kate Moss, Usher, and Lana Del Rey. The brand's value has soared to £3 billion, with a 50% increase in sales last year. Unlike the glitzy allure of premium brands like Victoria's Secret, Skims excels by blending comfort with subtle elegance, bolstered by savvy viral campaigns. Kim's campaign promoting a faux perky nipple bra sparked diverse reactions. Some women found the £64 bra empowering, while others criticised it for objectifying women. Personally, I found it uplifting—both literally and figuratively. The £70 Skims waist trainer also proved popular, especially among new mothers. Kim revealed she often gifts it to friends post-pregnancy, praising its ability to make her feel "snatched." Despite health concerns, the corset sold out rapidly online. Skims has expanded beyond lingerie to include swimwear, dresses, loungewear, PJs, and menswear. The brand's commitment to inclusivity, featuring a diverse range of celebs and models, resonates with a multi-generational audience. A notable collaboration with Italian luxury fashion house Fendi in November 2021 further elevated Skims' profile. The limited collection, starting at $950 (£747), sold out within 24 hours, generating over a million dollars in sales within minutes. In summary, Skims' success lies in its unique blend of inclusivity, comfort, and clever marketing, ensuring its place as a dominant force in the fashion industry. "Ok going to get these!!!!!!" one person commented on the clip. "I've never seen these before but best believe my drawer is about to be full of them!" another admitted. "How have I not seen these either?!!!" a third marvelled.
