Wanted convicted sex offender with connections to Parry Sound arrested in Toronto

(Supplied/Ontario Provincial Police) Update: Ontario Provincial Police advised in a news release Sunday evening that the wanted federal offender Darren Wheatley, 55, was apprehended in Toronto. Authorities said that the repeat offender with ties to Parry Sound who had been unlawfully at large since Thursday was located and arrested by the Toronto Police Service on Sunday. 'The Provincial R.O.P.E. Squad would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance in this investigation,' police said. Darren Wheatley, 55, is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for allegedly breaching his long-term supervision order, Ontario Provincial Police said in a news release Friday. Wheatley is 'known to frequent Toronto's downtown core and Parry Sound,' according to a social media post by police. '(He) was last seen in Quebec,' said OPP Detective Sgt. Morley McGuire in an email to CTV News on Saturday. He is currently serving a 10-year, one-month and 29-day sentence for two counts each of sexual assault, sexual assault causing bodily harm and choking. Police are asking for the public's help in locating him. Police issue warning about 2 wanted, dangerous men

Edmonton Police Service has obtained arrest warrants for both Justin Somers, 39, and Coletan Bearhead, 29. (Source: Edmonton Police Service) Releasing their photos Wednesday morning, EPS did not say what offences the pair have been charged with, just that they pose a risk to the public. They were last seen around 7 p.m. Tuesday, running toward 18 Street near Alberta Hospital. Anyone with information about their location is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers. Somers is 5′11″ and weighs about 250 pounds. He has brown hair, hazel eyes and a teardrop tattoo under his left eye. Bearhead is 6′ and weighs about 220 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes, and pierced ears.

2 arrested while making DoorDash delivery in Mt. Juliet
MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) — Authorities completed a DoorDash order in Mt. Juliet Friday night after arresting a man and woman, who were reportedly wanted out of Nashville. According to the Mt. Juliet Police Department, officers conducted a traffic stop along Central Pike on Friday, May 23 after observing a vehicle traveling 51 mph in a 35 mph zone. Littering leads to arrest of wanted man in Mt. Juliet Officials said they learned the driver—only identified as a 35-year-old man from Nashville—had outstanding warrants for felony probation violation and assault. In addition, he was reportedly driving without a license. Meanwhile, the passenger—a 36-year-old woman from Nashville—was also wanted for assault, police said. According to authorities, the pair were in the middle of making a DoorDash delivery when the stop occurred, adding that they had 'a bag of ice cream in tow.' Despite the circumstances, law enforcement said they still made sure the order got to its destination. 'We're proud of our officers' dedication and vigilance, working every day to help keep Mt. Juliet one of the safest communities around,' MJPD wrote on X. No additional details have been released about the incident, including the identities of the man and woman who were arrested. Man wanted for aggravated assault in Augusta
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) — Richmond County Sheriff's Office is searching for a wanted man. Authorities say Dalyn Elder, 20, is wanted for an aggravated assault on Central Avenue from May 20th. Elder is known to hang around Ellis and 15th Streets. He's considered armed and dangerous and has felony warrants. Call the Richmond County Sheriff's Office if you know anything.
