Warrant arrest results in weapons charges in Sarnia

Sarnia police arrested a man wanted for outstanding warrants when they found a concealed knife on his bicycle on July 23, 2025. (Source: Sarnia Police Service) A man wanted on several outstanding warrants was arrested after an officer saw him riding a bike in the area of Brock Street South and Davis Street on July 23. When the officer stopped him to make the arrest, a concealed knife was spotted in the bicycle seat, according to police. Sarnia police say the man was unable to provide a lawful reason for carrying an open blade knife in this manner, nor did he tell the officer that he the weapon on him. At the time of his arrest, the male was out on bail with conditions to not possess weapons. The 37-year-old Sarnia man was held for bail on the following charges:

Saint John Police Force issues Canada-wide warrant for wanted person

The Saint John Police Force is asking for the public's assistance in locating 30-year-old Dwayne Richard. Richard is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant, issued on Sunday for breaching the conditions of his statutory release as he failed to report to the Parrtown Community Correctional Center in Saint John as directed, a news release reads. 'Richard is a serving a federal sentence of 2-years, 1-day for convictions of possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, assault with a weapon, extortion, fail to comply with an undertaking, and fail to attend court,' the release continued. He is described as six-foot-two, 189 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He has tattoos on his right forearm of 'DBD', on his chest of 'CYNIAH', and on his right shoulder of 'MY SPIDER.' Police are warning the public not to approach the suspect. Anyone with information on Richard's whereabouts are asked to contact Saint John Police Force at 506-648-3333 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
