"Self-care helps me feel good about myself. "I am getting older, and I do notice changes, but for me, I just want to maintain my appearance for as long as can. "And if it all falls flat very soon, there's not much I could do about it.' Gillian also spilled her secrets to looking fab, and how others can also stay young. 'I always fill my water bottle with different fruits. Every morning, I have hot water and lemon and a detox tea bag," the actress told the magazine. "I'm disciplined with what I eat, but I don't deny myself and I'm meticulous with my skincare. "I also love keeping fit. I have a gym at home, but my schedule sometimes means I'm up at 5am, so I can't always make it work. "But I feel very lethargic if I don't do anything, so I have weights and a treadmill in my dressing room, so I can do a quick workout.' PRAISE FROM FANS Gillian has previously been praised for her youthful looks by fans. Watch shocking moment Kathy Beale snogs new lover behind his partner's back in EastEnders When the actress celebrated her 69th birthday last August, fans showered praise on her on an EastEnders-dedicated online group. Martha Stewart, 83, reveals her secret behind her taut skin as she showcases her age-defying looks

Martha Stewart has revealed the secret behind her taut looks as she showcased her age-defying looks in a youthful Instagram post on Thursday. The TV personality, 83, who shot to fame in 1990 after launching her magazine Martha Stewart Living, looked incredible as she confessed laser treatments are behind her snatched features. Martha visited WellTech client, LYMA's brand HQ in London where she experienced a signature LYMA Lift facial and picked up her own Laser PRO device. Sharing a snap of herself with the device - a clinical-grade cold laser technology claiming to reduce the appearance of wrinkles - Martha looked sensational as she held the device under her chin. Worth £4,995, it is 'engineered to make skin look younger by triggering a genetic switch inside each cell' and Martha branded her facial, 'the best she has ever had.' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Alongside her snap, she penned: 'Last thing we did in London was visit @lucygoffy @lymalife for a facial and red light laser treatment performed by Scottish aesthetician Yvonne Martin, wow if all I can say!!!!!' Martha's MUA Daisy Toye has previously dubbed LYMA 'the best at-home laser in the game,' adding that both she and Martha 'love' the latest device. Laser light is uniquely constructed which allows the device to retain more energy as it penetrates the skin. Martha's post comes after she weighed in on the RecipeTin Eats plagiarism scandal after Brooke Bellamy was accused of copying the recipes of fellow Australian cook Nagi Maehashi. The celebrity chef said during her live event at Sydney 's ICC on Wednesday night that it was difficult to prove a recipe had been copied. 'I have so many recipes and it's hard to develop a recipe without having a repertoire behind it,' she told the audience. 'I don't think too many recipes are owned by anybody, they are handed down, used and changed.' However, Martha claimed that it can be considered plagiarism if a recipe is 'copied word for word'. 'If you print somebody else's recipe word for word in your own cookbook then it might be plagiarism but I think it's very hard to prove who actually came up with that recipe,' she said. 'So unless they are word for word, you can't say they're yours.' It comes after a second author accused social media cooking sensation Brooke of stealing recipes for her bestselling cookbook Bake With Brooki. Hours after RecipeTin Eats founder Nagi raised allegations of copyright infringement last month, Sally McKenney, the US author and blogger behind Sally's Baking Addiction, made similar claims. Brooke, who owns the popular Brooki Bakehouse in Brisbane, denied the accusations, saying she had been making and selling her recipes before Nagi's were published. The allegations relate to Nagi's caramel slice and baklava recipe, along with Sally's Best Vanilla Cake recipe. Sally posted her claims on social media, saying she was first alerted to the similarity months ago. She said her recipe was first published in 2019. 'One of my recipes was also plagiarised in this book and also appears on the author's YouTube channel,' she said. 'Original recipe creators who put in the work to develop and test recipes deserve credit - especially in a bestselling cookbook.' Bake With Brooki is a bestselling cookbook published by Penguin in October last year and retails for $49.99. Brooke quickly became a global sensation after sharing videos on TikTok, which receive millions of views each day. She is best known for her cookies and has opened pop-up stores in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Both Penguin and Brooke deny the allegations.

Mariah Carey, 56, looks incredibly youthful in striking snaps as she becomes latest star to baffle fans by appearing to age backwards

Mariah Carey looked like she'd barely aged a day in her latest slew of stunning snaps. The singer, 56, took to Instagram on Monday to document her time in Asia, writing: 'Loved celebrating Mother's Day in China! ❤️' Yet fans were focused on her stunning youthful looks, flooding the comments sections with compliments. Among the sweet messages were: 'Always beautiful'; 'Whoaaaa!!! So beautiful ❤️❤️❤️'; 'Slay mama ❤️❤️❤️❤️'; 'A+Amazing dahling'. Mariah - who is currently on her Celebration of Mimi tour - is mother to twins Monroe and Moroccan, 14. She is the latest Hollywood star to baffle fans by looking younger than ever as the years pass. Cosmetic surgeons have reported a recent rise in deep plane face lifts - with a myriad of A-listers including Nicole Kidman, Lindsay Lohan and Anne Hathaway - speculated to have had one. Mariah has denied having any cosmetic surgery and has instead credited many other factors for her youthful looks. Over the years she has opened up about various beauty tips - which range from never smoking cigarettes to only being photographed from her 'good side'. The singer has often highlighted the importance of external factors, like angles and positioning. She has on several occasions admitted to feeling 'tortured' by 'hideous' overhead lighting. Speaking recently on the Las Culturistas podcast with Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers, she voiced her grievances. 'I can't with the overhead lighting. Why do they do it to us? I shouldn't say us, it's not us. It's me,' Mariah remarked. 'I'm the one who's the most tortured by the hideous lighting in every elevator, doorways, gyms - not that I go to the gym. But I'm just saying, it's hideous lighting.' She added that 'the sun is OK if it's sunset', but is 'careful' to the UV ray exposure. 'But overheard lighting, I don't think so, honey,' the singer expressed. 'Everywhere I go, shut the lights. Turn them out. I don't want to see them no more.' It's not the first time Mariah has expressed that overhead lighting makes her 'sick'. In an interview with the Sunday Times in 2016, as reported by Yahoo!, the musician told the journalist: 'I have to point out this is a rented house - I would never have overhead lighting. High hats, they call them. 'In my apartment in New York, it's all recessed lighting, chandeliers, candles. This lighting is abusive.' Elsewhere earlier this year Mariah took to Instagram to show what she deemed the 'bad side' of her face. 'New year, new beginnings... taking a picture from my 'bad side'!' the caption read. Mariah smiled softly with the camera facing the left side of her face, where she has a signature mole between her lips and jawline. The star has frequently joked about her 'bad side' with fans, after in 2016 revealing that she was told to favour one side of her visage when she was only 19. Recounting the tale on her docuseries Mariah's World, she said it was her first ever shoot, and a photographer said her right side was her 'good side'. 'This is your good side,' they allegedly said. 'Only let people photograph you from your good side. Ever.' For years after, Mariah reportedly wouldn't allow photographs of her 'bad side' - but eventually leaned into it. In 2009, speaking to the Associated Press - as shared by Yahoo! - she revealed: 'I don't feel like, "Oh, I have to be on this side, or I have to be on this side." I really had specific things that someone told me when I was 19 starting in the business and I listened to them. I don't care anymore.' The pop sensation has also been rumoured to be a fan of unusual beauty treatments - including milk baths. Speaking to the Guardian in 2018, Mariah clarified an interviewer's question about whether it was really true that she only bathed in French mineral water? 'No, I bathe in milk,' she replied. 'Yes, sometimes I use milk as a beauty treatment. I don't want to give away all my secrets... Cold milk.' Elsewhere a US Weekly report once claimed that the artist paid a masseuse $1,500 to massage her for eight hours, while she slept. Speaking to FEMAIL, Dr Akis Ntonos, founder of Aion Aesthetics and partner of Certainly Health also suggested it's possible Mariah may have gotten 'tweakments' over the years to maintain her youthful appearance. The doctor shared that it is likely that Botox has been used in various areas of her face. The injections appear to have been administered masterfully, knocking years off her appearance while still keeping her looking like herself. 'Mariah has a very defined facial structure, so Botox would be used to fill out her lines without losing that striking definition,' he explained. 'It's been strategically injected in a way that lifts her eyes rather than making them droop. Her practitioner has done an excellent job. 'Good Botox is all about enhancing what's already there, not completely overhauling your natural beauty.' Dr Ntonos believes that part of the reason Mariah Carey's Botox is so impressive is that it is most likely been used preventatively. He added: 'Botox is a widely used treatment to diminish signs of ageing, such as wrinkles and fine lines. 'Most people get Botox once these signs have already appeared; however, preventive Botox aims to beat the formation of wrinkles. 'By relaxing or weakening the facial muscles that cause wrinkles, preventive Botox can help to slow down the development of these lines.' When it comes to make-up, the star has also revealed a surprising product that she 'never' wears. Speaking to US Weekly, Mariah admitted that she 'hates' mascara. 'Whenever a makeup artist tries to put it on me, I throw a fit,' she added. Mariah also told the outlet that she has a strict no-smoking policy for her wellbeing. 'I smoked quite frequently from the time I was 12 to when I was 18,' the singer admitted. 'I gave up smoking in one day and never went back. I absolutely detest cigarette smoke now.' However, the rule does appear to be linked to her vocal abilities more than anything else. 'One day I promised God if he'd give me my voice back, I'd never smoke again,' she had said in an interview, as shared by Vogue. 'And I got three octaves back after quitting.' Because nobody does a comeback story quite like a true pop diva. In 2016 Mariah also opened up about her food choices, for maintaining a healthy body. 'It's really hard. My diet, you would hate it,' she told E! News. 'All you eat is Norwegian salmon and capers every day. That's it. 'I'm actually serious... I try to stick with the proteins. It's the worst.'
