Trials of Extended Range Pinaka launchers conclude, rockets to be inducted soon

A new and more powerful version of the indigenous Pinaka rocket launchers is all set to further boost the Indian Army's attack capabilities after it has completed user trials. The Extended Range Pinaka underwent a successful final test before being commissioned into the the Army relied on Russian multi-barrel rocket launchers such as 'Grad' and 'Smerch', but its attack capabilities strengthened tremendously after the incorporation of the indigenous Pinaka, a new and more powerful version of which is now the Pinaka rocket has a range of 37 kilometres, which has now been extended to about 75 kilometres, making it a versatile weapon for long-range attacks. The rockets were earlier used as area weapons, but with enhanced range and accuracy the extended-range guided Pinaka is now equipped with GPS navigation. That is, once set, it hits its target with utmost precision. The rocket can strike within a radius of about 25 metres of the target, which makes it extremely trajectories and targets of the rockets are programmed before launch. If, for some reason, it deviates from its set direction, the onboard computer and GPS work in tandem to bring it back to the correct also has an inertial navigation system (INS), which takes the rocket to the target even when GPS is jammed or interrupted. A battery of the current Pinaka can devastate an enemy's territory of 10,00,800 metres if fired together. That is only set to improve with the induction of the new Army plans to induct a total of 25 Pinaka multi-barrel rocket launchers. There are six launchers in one battery and each launcher has 12 tubes. That means a total of 72 rockets in one battery. All of these can be fired in 44 seconds. Soon after the launch, launchers change their location and get ready Area Denial Munition (ADM) Type-1 (DPICM) and High Explosive Pre-Fragmented (HEPF) Mk-1 (Enhanced) rockets have also been procured for the Pinaka present, the Indian Army has four Pinaka regiments commissioned. The aim is to increase it to 10 of creating new regiments, the existing 120 mm mortar light regiments are being converted into Pinaka year two light regiments were changed and this year two more are scheduled to follow. The army will have a total of 10 Pinaka regiments in the next two years.- EndsTune InMust Watch

India gets new Avatar of Multi-Barrel Rocket Launcher Pinaka, Range Extended from 37 km to beyond... induction into Army by...

Bad news for China and Pakistan, India developing rocket that can evade any air defense system, designed to hit targets accurately up to..., it is... New Delhi: The Indian Army is working relentlessly to enhance the range of rocket systems under the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' (self-reliant India) initiative. It is important to note that the Indian Army relied on Russian-made multi-barrel rocket launchers like the Grad and Smerch for warfare until now, but with the induction of the indigenous multi-barrel rocket launcher Pinaka, the Army's capabilities have seen a significant boost. Now, with the enhancement of its strike range, a new version of Pinaka has been developed. The extended-range version of Pinaka has successfully completed its user trials—the final step before being inducted into the Army. It is expected to be inducted soon. Here are some of the key features of Pinaka: Pinaka currently in service with the Indian Army's artillery The original Pinaka rocket is a free-flight rocket, meaning once it is launched, it travels up to its maximum range of 37 kilometers before impact. The current Pinaka rockets in the Army have a range of 37 kilometers, which has now been extended to around 75 kilometers. The extended range guided Pinaka is a guided rocket equipped with GPS navigation. The rocket can strike the target with precision after launch. In terms of accuracy, it can hit within approximately 25 meters of the target, which is considered highly effective. The rocket is pre-programmed, and once launched, it follows the set trajectory. If it deviates from its path for any reason, the onboard computer, aided by GPS, corrects the trajectory to get it back on course. Pinaka is equipped with an Inertial Navigation System (INS). This provides a major advantage: even if an enemy attempts to breach or disrupt the GPS signal via satellite interference, the INS will still guide the rocket accurately to its target. Pinaka system, when an entire battery is launched simultaneously, it can completely devastate an area measuring 1,000 by 800 meters. With the induction of the guided Pinaka weapon system, the Indian Army will gain a highly destructive and precise artillery system capable of wreaking havoc on enemy forces. The Indian Army plans to have a total of 25 Pinaka multi-barrel rocket launchers. A single battery of the Pinaka system consists of six firing units (launchers). Each launcher has 12 tubes, meaning one full battery can fire 72 rockets in total. All of these can be launched within just 44 seconds. Immediately after launching, the launchers change position and can be rearmed for another strike. The Army procured two new types of rockets for the Pinaka Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS): Area Denial Munition (ADM) Type-1 (DPICM) High-Explosive Pre-Fragmented (HEPF) Mk-1 (Enhanced) rockets.

Rubio, Mohamad discuss Thailand-Cambodia tensions

WASHINGTON: US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan discussed tensions between Thailand and Cambodia, State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said on Wednesday. "Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke with Malaysian Foreign Minister Mohamad Hasan to thank the Malaysian government for its role in deescalating tensions between Thailand and Cambodia and successfully facilitating a ceasefire agreement over the ongoing border dispute," Bruce said in a statement, reported Sputnik/RIA Novosti. Rubio reiterated the US desire to reach peace and a ceasefire, she added. "The United States supports future discussions on ceasefire implementation in order to ensure peace and stability between Thailand and Cambodia," Bruce added. The escalation of the border conflict between Thailand and Cambodia turned into an armed confrontation on July 24. After clashes in the border area, the sides exchanged artillery fire, with Cambodia using Grad multiple rocket launcher systems, including against civilian targets in Thailand, while Thailand carried out an airstrike on Cambodian military positions. Both sides reported casualties, including civilians. On July 27, US President Donald Trump said that the US could not negotiate tariffs with countries in armed conflict and called on Thailand and Cambodia to immediately enter into ceasefire negotiations. On Monday, Thailand and Cambodia agreed to establish a ceasefire starting at midnight. On Tuesday, Thailand's acting prime minister said that Cambodia was systematically violating the ceasefire along the border. The Cambodian Defence Ministry denied the allegations. - Bernama-Sputnik/RIA Novosti

NATO jets scramble after Putin launches huge overnight drone attack on Ukraine

Fighter jets have been scrambled by Poland after Russia's latest blitz on Ukraine where Vladimir Putin sent a wave of kamikaze drones and rockets at Kyiv. Eight people, including a two-year-old girl, have been injured in the attacks with shrapnel wounds after a bomb hit an apartment building. Kyiv's Mayor Vitali Klitschko said that all of the people were residents of a multi-storey apartment building in the city's Darnytskyi district on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Poland said in a statement the aircraft were deployed overnight and air defence and radar reconnaissance systems were placed on high alert. It comes a week after both Poland and Sweden scrambled fighter jets after a similar attack from Russia on Ukraine. Russia has been hitting Ukraine with attacks over the past few nights with the United States accusing Moscow of dragging out the war. Putin's forces struck Ukrainian military positions in Kharkiv and Donetsk regions with giant aerial bombs on Saturday night. And the Russians were shown using Grad multiple launch rocket systems in the Krasnoarmeysk section of the frontline in Donetsk region. Separately, Moscow has issued a nuclear war warning to the West, as Putin showcased in the Baltic Sea how his new sea drones could explode NATO ships. With Trump due to discuss the Ukrainian war with UK premier Sir Keir Starmer, US secretary of state Marco Rubio told Fox News that the US president is growing 'impatient' about Putin's delaying tactics and failure to end the war. 'I think he is growing increasingly frustrated that despite having very good interaction with Vladimir Putin in phone calls, it never leads to anything so the time has come for some action here, and I think the president has made that abundantly clear,' said Rubio. 'He's losing his patience, he is losing his willingness to continue to wait for the Russian side to do something here to bring an end to this war. That wasn't his war, but he wants to see it come to an end.'

Putin warns of nuclear war after unleashing another night of hell on Ukraine

Vladimir Putin has showcased new sea drones in the Baltic Sea which could explode NATO ships as Moscow again issued a nuclear warning to the West following another night of deadly strikes Vladimir Putin launched new deadly strikes against Ukraine as the US signalled Donald Trump is losing patience with the Kremlin dictator. ‌ The United States accused Moscow of dragging out the war even though Russia has seen 100,000 of its own troops killed so far this year. Footage showed the latest death and destruction as Putin's aerospace forces struck Ukrainian military positions in Kharkiv and Donetsk regions with giant aerial bombs. And the Russians were shown using Grad multiple launch rocket systems in the Krasnoarmeysk section of the frontline in Donetsk region. ‌ ‌ Separately, Moscow issued a nuclear war warning to the West, as Putin showcased in the Baltic Sea how his new sea drones could explode NATO ships. ‌ 'He's losing his patience, he is losing his willingness to continue to wait for the Russian side to do something here to bring an end to this war. That wasn't his war, but he wants to see it come to an end.' Rubio highlighted the chilling Russian toll Putin is accepting as he persists with the war in search of small territorial gains. 'You know since January this year over 100,000 Russian soldiers have been killed - just on the Russian side,' he said. ‌ 'It's a bloody conflict with a lot of death and destruction. A lot of this engagement has been just about playing for time and sort of delay tactics to make it look like they are interested in peace but not really serious about it. He's not going to fall into that trap of being pulled into endless talks about talks.' Overnight, Russia continued to strike Ukraine, notably in Kharkiv and Sumy regions, with civilian casualties. Ukraine hit back, closing Pulkovo airport in St Petersburg with drone incursions and destroying an electricity station at Zhutovo station supplying a key rail link in Volgograd. This caused disruption and chaos on a rail line supplying Putin's war machine. ‌ Early today Ukrainian drones were buzzing Kronstadt naval port on the Gulf of Finland, as Russia marked its annual Navy Day. Putin had cancelled a major navy show of force today here amid fears he could be targeted by Ukrainian strikes. But footage shows his major war games in the Baltic Sea highlighting a new unmanned boat with a high-powered warhead destroying a mock NATO ship. ‌ Putin closed a swathe of the Baltic in his latest show of strength to the West, part of July Storm war games involving 150-plus warships, 120 aircraft and 15,000-plus military personnel. At the same time, his hawkish aide and former spymaster Nikolai Patrushev was sent out to slap down American General Christopher Donahue, who had indicated NATO possessed the military might to destroy the Russian Baltic region of Kaliningrad, wedged between Western states Poland and Lithuania, faster than Putin could blink in the event of Moscow's aggression against the Alliance. 'We have long been aware of the West's plans for Kaliningrad,' retorted Patrushev. He accused the West of 'aspirations' to 'violate Russia's sovereignty and territorial integrity by military means'. ‌ 'I can only comment on them in one way,' he said. 'The Kaliningrad region is an integral part of Russia, and any military encroachment on it will be met with an immediate and crushing response using all the forces and means at our disposal.' He specified he was threatening a nuclear response 'as provided for in the Military Doctrine and the Fundamentals of State Policy in the Field of Nuclear Deterrence'. ‌ Patrushev - a former head of the FSB counterintelligence service - warned: 'Russia has all the necessary military instruments to guarantee the security of the Kaliningrad region.' Meanwhile, Polish premier Donald Tusk - a former president of the European Council - said he had received an assessment of Russia's readiness for military conflict with the NATO states in Europe in 18 months. The analysis was from General Alexus Grynkewich, NATO's Supreme Allied Commander in Europe. 'NATO's Supreme Allied Commander in Europe, General Alexus Grynkewich, confirmed to me the American assessments that Russia will be ready for confrontation in just a year and a half,' said Tusk. 'Russia will be ready for confrontation with Europe — and therefore with us — as early as 2027.' ‌ Marine drones have been pioneered by Ukraine, which has been fighting for almost three and a half years for its sovereignty against Putin's invasion. Russia's Black Sea Fleet has been rendered substantially ineffective by the threat from these unmanned boats to its ships. But the new footage shows Moscow catching up with Ukraine and deploying its own sea drones - for example in the Baltic - where there is potential for confrontation with the West. Meanwhile, Trump special envoy Steve Witkoff forecast the US president would broker a peace deal. 'We will resolve the issue between Russia and Ukraine, and we will conclude a peace agreement - because it must be,' he told Fox News. 'The President is right: this war should never have started. I think we will come to a solution, and hopefully, this will be a turning point.'
