NVIDIA DLSS 4 adds support for Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced, Titan Quest II, Senua's Saga: Hellblade II and Supraworld

This week, NVIDIA DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation multiplies performance in Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced, Senua's Saga: Hellblade II Enhanced, Titan Quest II, and Supraworld. Also, a new GeForce Game Ready Driver has been released to optimize gameplay experience in Senua's Saga: Hellblade II Enhanced and Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced. Already elevated with ray-traced ambient occlusion, ray-traced global illumination lighting, ray-traced shadows and ray-traced reflections, a new Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced update adds support for NVIDIA DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation and NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation in addition to acceleration offered by DLSS Super Resolution and NVIDIA Reflex. At 4K resolution with ray tracing and all other settings maxed out, NVIDIA DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation increases GeForce RTX 50 Series frame rates by an average of 3.9X, giving players high-fidelity action and fast, fluid gameplay. Ninja Theory is expanding Senua's Saga: Hellblade II with a new Enhanced update, releasing today. It introduces a new 'Very High' graphical preset to heighten immersion and image quality, along with a new Dark Rot game mode, developer commentary and an enhanced photo mode. Additionally, GeForce RTX 50 Series gamers can activate DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation to further accelerate frame rates at the highest resolutions and detail levels. While DLSS Frame Generation and DLSS Super Resolution multiplied frame rates by an average of 3x at 4K resolution and max settings upon release, this update pushes the gains even higher. With NVIDIA Reflex enabled, PC latency was reduced by up to 57%, making Senua's Saga: Hellblade II even more responsive when played on a GeForce RTX PC or laptop. Supraworld is a first-person Puzzle-Metroidvania that builds upon Supra Games' much-loved Supraland, Supraland Crash, and Supraland Six Inches Under. Supraworld lets players embody an apprentice of the solver's guild in a handcrafted toy world. Explore, solve puzzles, ignore the main quest, and much more across this vast, interconnected world. The game will support NVIDIA DLSS 4 from day one with Multi Frame Generation, DLSS Frame Generation, and DLSS Super Resolution when the game enters Early Access on August 15. If players would like to enhance image quality to the maximum, there's also support for NVIDIA DLAA. Grimlore Games and THQ Nordic recently released Titan Quest II into Early Access, and within a few days, over 300,000 copies were sold. In Titan Quest II, Nemesis, the goddess of retribution, is out of control. She is corrupting the Threads of Fate and condemning all those who oppose her to Eternal Punishment. Players take up their weapon of choice and face some of the most powerful forces in Greek mythology to stop Nemesis and free those that she has punished. At launch, Titan Quest II featured a full suite of DLSS 4 technologies, giving NVIDIA GeForce RTX gamers the definitive experience. DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation multiplies frame rates on GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs, DLSS Frame Generation accelerates performance on GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs, and DLSS Super Resolution boosts performance on all other GeForce RTX GPUs. Additionally, NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution's new and improved transformer AI model can be selected to refine image quality. Gamers can opt to enable DLAA instead of DLSS Super Resolution, in conjunction with DLSS Multi Frame Generation and DLSS Frame Generation, for the highest levels of image quality. Enabling NVIDIA Reflex also allows GeForce RTX gamers to reduce PC latency.

'I spent the day at Alton Towers and couldn't believe length of queue times'

A theme park enthusiast has given a little insight into the lengthy queues at Alton Towers as parents search for fun days out to keep kids entertained during the holidays Alton Towers, the cherished theme park situated in Staffordshire, remains a magnet for adrenaline junkies with its collection of rides and attractions. With the six-week summer holidays soon coming to an end, many mums and dads are still searching for exciting days out while they wait for the kids to return. ‌ Theme parks remain a popular option for family trips, though they tend to get packed during this time. For parents on a budget, the UK's cheapest theme parks have been revealed - including one where entry is completely free. A rollercoaster enthusiast known as Coastertog on social media has shown his followers the massive queues at Alton Towers through a TikTok clip. ‌ ‌ The footage has racked up an impressive 1.1 million views, 63,000 likes, and over 1,600 comments since being posted. In the footage, Coastertog began by announcing Alton Towers is extremely busy right now and warned viewers they wouldn't be prepared to witness the enormous queues for several rides. He disclosed the waiting time for The Smiler was an incredible 140 minutes, while Thirteen had a 90-minute queue, despite it being only 11am. ‌ The footage displays crowds of visitors at the park, with lengthy queues surrounding different rides. Despite the wet conditions, Coastertog predicted around 16,500 guests that day. He went on to emphasise the prolonged waiting times for additional rides, including Wicker Man with a 110-minute queue, Nemesis with roughly a 100-minute wait, and Galactica with a 105-minute delay. ‌ Coastertog also noted a ride access pass queue that was "hanging out of the gate". The passionate theme park enthusiast further observed that the closures of Rita and Spinball Whizzer were likely adding to the extensive queues. ‌ He commented: "We've seen a lot of triple digit queue times today and fast track isn't going to save you either. Look at how long that queue is." Coastertog warned Alton Towers is anticipated to be "busy pretty much every day" throughout the school summer holidays but also suggested that queues "do die down nearer the end of the day" indicating visitors might prefer to remain rather than leave early. The TikTok post's caption cautions: "Alton Towers queue times right now. Queues do calm down later in the day but if you're looking for a chilled day at Alton right now, just wait until September!" ‌ A spokesperson for Alton Towers Resort said: "At this time of year, the Resort welcomes a high volume of school groups from across the country, many of whom are eager to experience our most thrilling rollercoasters. "As the UK's number one theme park, we're proud to offer unforgettable experiences but during peak periods, queue times can naturally be longer. "We continue to work hard to manage guest flow and provide real-time updates via our app to help guests plan their day." 'We found a theme park much cheaper than Alton Towers with no queues' 'I'm a mum – parents should never use this phrase when taking kids to Disney' A commenter on Coastertog's video suggested: "Alton Towers need to place daily guest limits. "If [a] certain amount of tickets for the day have already been sold, no more can be purchased." Despite Coastertog suggesting long waits for attractions, one recent guest at the theme park revealed: "Went on Sunday and walked onto Nemesis twice and [the] maximum we waited was 30 mins."

Alton Towers three-month passes currently cost less than single day tickets The UK's largest theme park, Alton Towers, is currently offering a three month pass for just £59 - which works out cheaper than a single day ticket which is currently priced at £68 (Image: Alton Towers Resort) Alton Towers is currently offering a deal that allows adrenaline enthusiasts to secure a three-month pass to the theme park for just £59. This is even cheaper than the single £68 entry fee ticket that visitors would pay if they turned up at the gates. The theme park, home to top attractions such as Oblivion, Nemesis and The Smiler, offers the three-month pass as an affordable and flexible option for families planning to visit the park this summer and into the autumn. It's particularly handy given the expected crowds during the peak summer holiday hours, with families having the opportunity to return at a quieter time to enjoy their favourite rides again. Alton Towers is the UK's largest theme park, outdoing competitors like Thorpe Park and Light Water Valley in terms of sheer size. It offers a wide range of attractions, catering to thrill-seekers with its heart-pounding rides as well as younger children with CBeebies Land. Alton Towers is the largest theme park in the UK. (Image: Alton Towers Resort) For parents with young children, the Parent and Toddler Pass has been reduced from £59 to £29, allowing entry on off-peak dates for one adult and a toddler (aged 5 or under). While this pass isn't valid on weekends or during school holidays, it does include access to CBeebies Land, and additional toddlers are charged an extra £5 per visit. For families seeking to prolong their summer escapades, Merlin offers a range of multi-visit passes for various UK attractions. At Alton Towers, the Discover Pass provides off-peak entry to most attractions on over 200 days a year for £99, while the Silver Merlin Pass offers free entry to Alton Towers Theme Park along with added benefits, including access to Scarefest (excluding Scare Mazes), discounted Waterpark admission and savings on meals and merchandise, for £179 annually, reports the Manchester Evening News. The Merlin Gold Annual Pass is currently one of the most sought-after tickets, offering access to a host of top attractions including Thorpe Park, Alton Towers, Legoland, the Dungeons, Madame Tussauds and even Cadbury World. This pass doesn't just get you in the door; it also includes free parking and discounts on food and more. However, shoppers should note that the Seasonal Pass does not cover certain dates, such as the August Bank Holiday weekend and Halloween festivities. For those who fancy a single theme park getaway, Wowcher's Theme Park Breaks could be the perfect choice. They're currently promoting a Gulliver's Valley Resort Stay and Theme Park Entry deal starting at £139, with options available during school holidays for a family of four looking for an exciting break. If your family is keen on outdoor adventures, consider a National Trust Family Membership starting at £103 annually. Alton Towers receives glowing reviews on TripAdvisor, where guests have described it as "magical". One visitor commented: "Amazing. I have no words. If you want to have a fun day with family or friends or just on your own. Alton Towers is the place. It's a must!". Another guest praised their experience, saying: "What a fantastic day out with the family! ! ! Not been there in years but we have had the most fantastic time at the theme park. Clean and today and the kids absolutely had the most wonderful time on all the rides." Yet not every visitor was quite so impressed. One frustrated guest remarked: "As expected, when you go to a theme park they are very long queues. What you don't expect is no seating on a two hour queue. Waiting is not a problem, standing for two hours for one ride with no chance to sit down and rest your legs and back, really is!". Article continues below Tickets for Thorpe Park cost £66 if bought on the day but you can save in advance buying online. Tickets for Drayton Manor cost from £27.50 for adults.

Middle-Earth: Shadow Of Mordor is the best game that's never getting a remake

A reader makes the case for Middle-Earth: Shadow Of Mordor getting a modern remaster, as he laments the fate of it and other aging 'not-quite-classics'. When video games take more and more time and budget to make, remasters and remakes are the closest thing publishers have to easy money. I can't really criticise them for that, as long as the end result is good, but we're at the point where some games have been remastered multiple times. Gears Of War: Reloaded this year is going to be the second one, and it's not the only game in that position. The downside to this is that when a good game doesn't get a remaster it feels very unfair. There's a lot of talk about online games being abandoned by publishers nowadays, and no longer existing, but there's also single-player games that you can't buy anymore. Good luck getting a copy of Forza Horizon 4 or any of the old Spider-Man games now, as anything other than physical versions, because they just don't exist now thanks to licences running out. Thankfully the game I want to talk about today isn't in that position, yet, and you can buy Middle-Earth: Shadow Of Mordor for dirt cheap on Steam and the PlayStation Store. Although the Game of the Year Edition (that year being 2014) is still full price. It's not that you can't get hold of Shadow Of Mordor if you want it, but that it's a great game that nobody talks about anymore and that's held back by being a cross-gen Xbox 360 game. Although I do recommend buying and playing it if you never have, I've got to admit it's showing its age and that in an ideal world it would get a remaster or even a remake. If it wasn't a licensed game I'm sure it would've got a remaster or another sequel by now but I'm not sure Warner Bros. even owns the Lord of the Rings licence anymore. They're still selling the game, but they haven't made a new one in over a decade. The biggest problem is that they shut down developer Monolith Productions, so they can't make a new game or a remaster. Someone else could do it, but at this point that seems like it would be disrespectful, given there was no reason to close them in the first place. Sign up to the GameCentral newsletter for a unique take on the week in gaming, alongside the latest reviews and more. Delivered to your inbox every Saturday morning. What's also terrible is that the game's Nemesis system seems to have died with them. This was something I've never seen in any other game, where you could meet random orcs and they'd remember you and they'd become your rivals, creating a whole kind of unique storyline that wasn't scripted but depended on what you did and who you fought. It worked really well and was beefed up in the sequel Shadow Of War, and I believe it was going to be used in the Wonder Woman game they were making when they were shut down. But now it has no future. There'll be no more Nemesis system, no more Shadow Of games, and no more Monolith. Shadow Of War is good, by the way, but while the Nemesis system and combat are a bit better it suffers from a lot of Ubisoft bloat. Also, the story and dialogue is pretty bad. I'm not a Tolkien expert but even I can tell it's just making stuff up for the sake of it and it doesn't really seem authentic, although that doesn't spoil how it plays as a game. I'm sure the developer not existing anymore wouldn't stop Warner Bros. doing a remaster if they thought it'd make money but either there's a legal reason or they just don't think it's worth the effort. Either way, I think it's a real shame and that as time goes by there's going to be a lot of these not-quite-classics that are left behind, never getting updated, never getting sequels, and having all their good ideas left to rot. More Trending Considering the last Lord Of The Rings game got 1/10 it's literally true that you couldn't do worse with a remaster of Shadow Of Mordor. I'd like it to happen, I don't expect, and that's a real shame. By reader Zeiss The reader's features do not necessarily represent the views of GameCentral or Metro.
