The Two Best Horror Films Of 2025 Grab 100%, 99% Rotten Tomatoes Scores
Weapons It's about to be an absolutely crazy two weeks for horror movies, as the currently best-scored pair of films of 2025 will release within ten days of each other. That would be Together, out Wednesday, July 30, and Weapons, out Friday, August 8. Now, reviews are coming in for each, and as of now, they have a near-perfect and perfect-perfect Rotten Tomatoes score, respectively, even beating out Sinners. As it stands, Zach Cregger's Weapons, his next film after the stunning Barbarians, has a perfect 100% from a limited number of critic reviews in. It's had a number of harrowing trailers and is now releasing full clips that the internet is finding deeply unsettling. Meanwhile, it's pretty clear that Together is a lower-profile film, but it has more reviews in and has stuck at a 99%. If Weapons drops at all, that would make Together the best-reviewed mainstream horror movie of the year. It stars husband and wife duo Dave Franco and Alison Brie, whom you would not normally pair (no pun intended) for a horror movie, but it's supposed to be excellent. Together Here's where the two currently rank among the best mainstream horror films of 2025: My gut tells me that Weapons may drop below both Together and Sinners as more reviews come in, as there just aren't all that many right now (I'm not clear on why the embargo seems to have lifted for only a small number of outlets). Together may stay that high, as I would expect fewer reviews to come in overall, with it being a lower-profile film. Though both may drop below Sinners at some point, which has an incredible 402 reviews in, locking in that 97%. Olabisi Boyle, the senior vice president of product planning and mobility strategy at Hyundai Motor North America, wakes up at 5 a.m. "I start work between 7:15 and 7:30 a.m. but wake up at 5 a.m. to give myself time to breathe," Boyle said in an interview with BI in 2023. Boyle said she likes to start her mornings by checking on yearlong goals and progress. Calling it entertainment giant Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) may not be valid for much longer, according to new reports. The upcoming split between the studio operations and the linear television operations will see Warner split into two parts, and interestingly, it will see them split right in the name. Basically, once the split is actually accomplished, it will leave us with two halves of the former whole. The studio and streaming business, which includes the film and TV studios, HBO, HBO Max, DC Studios, and the Turner Classic Movies cable channel, will all be part of Warner Bros. Meanwhile, the networks operations —including Cartoon Network, TNT, TBS, CNN, Food Network, HGTV, and of course, Discovery Channel, will be Discovery Global. David Zaslav will continue to head up Warner Bros., while Warner's chief financial officer Gunnar Wiedenfels will be dispatched to helm the sinking ship that will be Discovery Global. Wiedenfels pointed out, '…our enthusiasm for the opportunities ahead only grows thanks to our leading portfolio of beloved brands and programming, our worldwide footprint for adults, kids, and families…' keeps them all going. A New Gaming Crossover While horror buffs eagerly await the arrival of Weapons, the new film from Zach Cregger, Warner and Sawhorse Productions are getting together to bring elements of the film to popular game Fortnite. The move will basically sink Fortnite players into the Weapons world, allowing players to collect props, encounter haunted NPCs, and '…face the mysterious 2:17 AM event.' This is not the first time that Warner and Sawhorse worked together on a project like this; they were also seen together on Sinners: Survive the Night based on the release of Sinners. While little data was on hand for how many played that last game, it must have done reasonably well for Warner to come back to Sawhorse to make a second round. Is WBD Stock a Good Buy? Turning to Wall Street, analysts have a Moderate Buy consensus rating on WBD stock based on 10 Buys and eight Holds assigned in the past three months, as indicated by the graphic below. After a 60.21% rally in its share price over the past year, the average WBD price target of $13 per share implies 5.18% downside risk.

Coogler revealed that he would retain full ownership over his $360 million feature in 25 years along with first-dollar gross points and it seems we have Perry to thank for giving him the game. 'When this deal with Ryan Coogler – everybody's talking about the Sinners deal. 'Oh my god, he got this amazing deal,'' Perry said around the 21-minute mark in the interview. 'Listen, I called that brother up, as I did a lot of them. I called him up after Black Panther and I said, 'Listen, here is how you do it.' I applaud him, man. I'm excited for him because that's what it's about. Holding on to the ownership.' Coogler never revealed that he'd had a conversation with Perry, but now we know. The Straw director also spoke about being underestimated in Hollywood and how it worked to his advantage, even in the present day, after all of his successes. 'These are the people who are like 'oh that's just something than Black people like.' They thought Diary of a Mad Black Woman would only do $5 million total, it opened at $20 million. When you're underestimated, you can make the best deals,' he said. 'That's why I tell people don't go in a room with your resume trying to impress anybody. See what deal you can make, go under first.
