Muscat: The Royal Navy of Oman's (RNO) sailing ship, Shabab Oman II, today docked at the Port of Genoa in Italy, as part of its 7th International Voyage to the European Continent.
During this voyage, themed "Glories of the Seas", Shabab Oman II will drop anchor at a number of ports.

Salalah- A coordination meeting held today at Dhofar Municipality in Salalah reviewed the implementation mechanisms of the media plan and preparations for covering Khareef Dhofar Season (Monsoon season) 2025 events. This comes as part of ongoing coordination between the Ministry of Information and relevant government entities to highlight the season and the governorate's tourism potential through local and international media platforms. The meeting was attended by Dr. Abdullah Nasser Al Harrasi, Minister of Information, Dr. Ahmed Mohsin Al Ghassani, Chairman of Dhofar Municipality, and several officials. Discussions focused on the approved media plan for the Khareef season, which includes coverage through Oman TV and Radio, Oman News Agency (ONA), the "Ayn" platform, digital media, and private media outlets. The meeting also addressed the support Dhofar Municipality will provide for various media efforts, along with a visual presentation showcasing the locations of events included in the Khareef Dhofar Season 2025 program.

Longest tourist walkway unveiled in South Al Batinah
Muscat: The longest tourist walkway in Nakhal, located in South Al Batinah Governorate, was unveiled. This walkway will connect the historic Nakhal Fort to Ain Al Thawarah Park, covering a distance of 3 kilometers, passing through several springs, aflaj (traditional irrigation systems), and agricultural villages adjacent to Wadi Nakhal, adding aesthetic value to the region. His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Saleh Al Busaidi, the Wali of Nakhal, emphasised that the project aims to enhance tourism in the area, showcasing the natural and historical landmarks of the villages and fields along the walkway route.

Uzbek President receives Oman's Minister of Commerce
Tashkent - President Dr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev of the Republic of Uzbekistan, received Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, in Tashkent today. Al Yousef conveyed to the Uzbek President the greetings and best wishes of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik. He stressed the depth of fraternal relations binding the peoples of Oman and Uzbekistan. Al Yousef also congratulated the Uzbek President on the historic sporting accomplishment made by the Uzbekistan national football team that qualified to the 2026 FIFA World Cup for the first time. He described this achievement a source of pride, not only for Uzbekistan, but also for the whole Central Asian region. The minister pointed out that the Uzbek government's decision to grant Omani citizens a 30-day visa exemption constitutes a step forward in promoting tourism and enhancing cultural and commercial relations between the two countries. He pointed out that Oman Air intends to operate direct flights to Tashkent in a bid to consolidate direct communication between the two countries in the near future. At the conclusion of the meeting, Al Yousef affirmed the Sultanate of Oman's full commitment to boosting bilateral relations and developing partnership between Oman and Uzbekistan on the basis of mutual respect, shared prosperity and a unified future vision. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 5th session of the Omani-Uzbek Joint Committee for Trade and Economic Cooperation, roundtable meetings with the Uzbek side and the 4th Tashkent International Investment Forum. The visit is aimed to enhance bilateral cooperation and explore joint investment opportunities in a number of vital sectors. The meeting was attended by Assayida Wafa Jabr Al Busaidi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of Uzbekistan, and a number of officials from the two countries.
