Billie Eilish adds S.F. tour dates, responds to ‘trash' Met Gala look: ‘I wasn't even there'
Billie Eilish is extending her global tour — and setting the record straight.
The Grammy-winning pop star announced a major expansion of her 'Hit Me Hard and Soft' world tour, adding 21 new U.S. shows — including a return to the Bay Area with back-to-back concerts at Chase Center in San Francisco on Nov. 22 and 23.
The 23-year-old singer, currently touring through Europe, is set to kick off the second U.S. leg of the tour Oct. 9 in Miami, with stops scheduled in cities such as Philadelphia, Long Island, Austin and Phoenix, before concluding in San Francisco.
American Express cardholders can access presale tickets starting Tuesday, May 20, with general sales opening Thursday, May 22 at noon via billieeilish.com.
In December, Eilish performed two nights at SAP Center at San Jose.
The announcement comes as Eilish finds herself at the center of unexpected online scrutiny over a Met Gala appearance she never made.
After images of Eilish in a supposed Met Gala outfit were widely shared and criticized as 'trash,' the singer clarified that the photos were fabricated.
'Seeing people talk about what I wore to this year's Met Gala being trash — I wasn't there,' she said on Instagram Stories last week. 'That's AI. I had a show in Europe that night. Let me be! I wasn't even there!'
Eilish performed in Amsterdam the night of the event. The viral images appear to be part of a growing trend of AI-generated celebrity content circulating online.
Her third studio album, 'Hit Me Hard and Soft,' debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 in May 2024.

Tim McGraw's Daughter Sends a Strong Message While Issuing Bold Political Statement
Tim McGraw's Daughter Sends a Strong Message While Issuing Bold Political Statement originally appeared on Parade. Amid a tense political climate, is issuing a bold message and making her stance regarding some controversial current events crystal clear. The daughter of country singers and Faith Hill didn't mince words when sharing an impassioned message about "humanity" and "decency," taking to Instagram Stories this week to get a few things off her chest. "Boy have we lost it..." the message opened. "We have lost decency. We have lost humanity. We have lost love."It continued, focusing on unity above all: "We are all flesh and blood. We are all living creatures. We all come from the same thing, from the beginning of life... whatever your belief is. We are the same. We are equal. ALL OF US. From the sky to the earth's core, every living creature on this earth... we are in this together. We are brothers, sisters, companions." Audrey, 23, further expressed compassion, writing, "This land does not belong to anyone. It never has. And that goes for every inch of this planet. This land is much greater than us, we are lucky to even set foot on it. And PROUD to share it with whoever is in need. We are all souls in this world," before urging people to "NEVER F--KING FORGET IT." Though it wasn't explicitly noted, the statement is likely related to news surrounding recent ICE raids, which several celebrities have spoken out against. The McGraw family has become known for taking political stances and not shying away from addressing world issues publicly. The Associated Press reports that Lame, whose real name is Seringe Khabane Lame, was detained on June 6 at the Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas but was permitted to leave the country without a deportation order. 'Lame entered the United States April 30 and overstayed the terms of his visa.' Officials said that Lame 'has since departed the U.S.' He had been granted a voluntary departure, which saw him avoid a deportation order. Lame, who has more than 162M followers on TikTok, is a Senegalese-Italian TikToker and Unicef goodwill ambassador and is best known for his deadpan reactions to other videos. He first made a name for himself at the end of the pandemic, where his silent TikTok posts saw him make fun of life-hack videos, kicking off with a short film of him peeling a banana with his hands. On Monday morning (June 9), the influencer shared a photo of himself in São Paulo, Brazil. Lame's run-in with ICE comes after President Trump and his administration called for the National Guard to be deployed against anti-ICE protests on the streets of L.A. this week. Nearly 5,000 troops have since descended on the city. California Governor Gavin Newsom made a speech on Wednesday condemning the move where he criticized the 'brazen abuse of power by a sitting president' which he said, 'inflamed a combustible situation, putting our people, our officers and even our National Guard at risk.'
