‘I love a lively home': Aaron Kwok says going to be a daddy again at 59, confirms wife Moka Fang is pregnant on Father's Day
HONG KONG, June 15 – Hong Kong superstar Aaron Kwok has confirmed that he and wife Moka Fang are expecting their third child, ending weeks of speculation.
Singapore's entertainment portal 8days quoted him speaking at a promotional event for his new film My First Of May, where the 59-year-old singer and actor said he is 'going to be a daddy again' and described the news as 'happy' but declined to share further details.
'I'm going to be a daddy again. This is happy news — I won't go into too much detail,' he reportedly said.
'I've always said, the more children at home, the livelier it is — and I love a lively home! I think it's wonderful.'
'It's not that I don't want to talk about it, but I'm always working. And today happens to be Father's Day. Like I always say, it's all about the right timing and environment. I'm very thankful to the heavens,' he added.
Kwok said he would accept 'whatever comes' when asked about the baby's gender and revealed his daughters, Chantelle, seven, and Charlotte, five, are somewhat aware they will soon have a sibling.
Speculation about Fang's pregnancy surfaced in May after she posted photos on Mother's Day wearing a loose-fitting dress that revealed what appeared to be a baby bump.
At the time, Kwok responded ambiguously to questions, saying, 'I have always believed that children are a gift from God. This is something to be grateful for, and I will not respond too much.'

The 59-year-old was asked by the Hong Kong media on June 15 if his wife Moka Fang, 37, was pregnant again. 'I'm going to be a daddy again and I'm very happy,' he told the media at a movie event. 'I like a bustling home and I'm very willing to have another child.' Kwok and Fang tied the knot in 2017. They have two daughters aged seven and six, who are aware that a younger sibling is on the way. The singer-actor declined to disclose the gender of his third child. Fang first sparked rumours of her pregnancy on Mothers Day in May, when she posted on social media a photo of herself with a rounder face and a slight tummy. Kwok added to the speculation when he told the Hong Kong media that children are gifts from heaven, and he would leave it to nature whether his two daughters will have a younger brother or sister. The speculation grew later in June after Fang was seen wearing a loose-fitting dress while attending a racecourse event with her husband. In a recent interview with fellow actress Lee San San on her YouTube programme, the 42-year-old revealed that he once earned a monthly salary of HK$6,000 (RM3,243). Out of that, HK$4,000 (RM2,162) went towards rent for a tiny subdivided flat in Tsim Sha Tsui, leaving him with just HK$2,000 (RM1,081) to cover all other living expenses. To make ends meet, Sum took on part-time jobs, occasionally borrowed money from friends and would spend no more than HK$50 (RM27) a day. 'I used to walk from Tsim Sha Tsui to this barbecue shop in Mong Kok to buy two meal boxes for HK$20 (RM10) each. I was really just surviving on HK$50 a day,' he said, adding that he kept up with this lifestyle for nearly seven years. Despite the hardship, Sum pressed on out of his passion for acting and remained grateful for simply having a roof over his head. 'As long as I had a bed to sleep on, I was fine. I could chase my dreams with a simple heart, and that alone made me happy,' he added. Sum, who joined TVB in 2006, first gained popularity for his performance in the 2011 series Lives Of Omission . His breakout moment came in 2014 with the hit crime drama Line Walker , which earned him a nomination for Most Improved Male Artiste at the TVB Anniversary Awards. After his contract ended in 2016, Sum parted ways with TVB but made a return in 2020 to film two dramas – Final Destiny (2021) and I've Got The Power (2022). The actor later signed an exclusive deal with Emperor Entertainment Group in 2022, following the expiration of his TVB contract in July 2021.
