LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The forecast for this weekend is looking better and better which is great news if you have any Father's Day plans or Graduation parties!
Today it will be noticeably cooler with temperatures into the low to mid 70s with mostly cloudy skies. Dew points will also be in the 40 to 50 degree range which means that any showers that do move in remain light and hit or miss in nature. Most areas stay dry and mostly cloudy for our Friday.
A system skirts to our south later tonight into Saturday morning, most of us stay dry places south of Jackson and could see a few showers and maybe a rumble of thunder overnight into Saturday morning. Temperatures fall back into the low to mid-50s area-wide tonight.
Tomorrow we still see the partly to mostly cloudy skies with temperatures starting their warming trend. Daytime highs for Saturday remain in the mid-70s with skies clearing by the afternoon and evening.
Father's Day is when we see temperatures really start to warm up, our dew points also jump into the 50s to 60s so we will start feeling like summer into the upcoming work week. A mix of clouds and sunshine is in the forecast for Sunday with temperatures in the low 80s. We get into the mid-80s by the middle of the week with heat and humidity and the chance for showers and storms by Tuesday and Wednesday.
