How to use rice-water aloe vera pack for Korean Glass Skin
Achieving the 'glass skin' look—skin that appears smooth, hydrated, and naturally radiant—doesn't always require high-end products. Simple, natural remedies like a rice-water and aloe vera face pack can support skin health when used consistently and correctly.
Rice water is rich in vitamins, amino acids, and antioxidants. It helps in brightening the skin, tightening pores, and improving overall texture. Meanwhile, aloe vera has calming and moisturizing properties, making it ideal for soothing irritated or sensitive skin and supporting the skin barrier.
Dr. Shraddha Deshpande, Consultant Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon, Wockhardt Hospitals, Mumbai Central, says, 'To make the pack at home, soak about two tablespoons of raw rice in water for 3–4 hours, strain the water, and mix it with a tablespoon of fresh aloe vera gel.
Apply the mixture to clean skin, leave it on for 15–20 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water. This blend hydrates, evens skin tone, and gives your skin a soft glow.
Use it 2–3 times a week as part of a consistent skincare routine.'
While such natural remedies can support healthy skin, they are not a substitute for medical treatments in case of persistent skin concerns. And like with any topical product—natural or not—doing a patch test is important, especially for sensitive or acne-prone skin.

How fitness icons perfectly blend ancient knowledge with modern perspectives
Once upon a time, fitness was seen in two lights - 1. Lifting heavy weights in the gym, sweating and panting for breath, 2. Turning yourself into a pretzel on the Yoga mat, struggling to keep up with the Yoga expert in front of you. But thankfully, with time, the way people saw fitness changed, and so did the ways in which fitness is achieved. And for many, somewhere between a Himalayan herb and a calorie counter, and between a running track and a sweet treat, the sweet spot was found. Fitness icons today know how to blend ancient wisdom and knowledge of modern fitness perfectly. They know how to attract their target population, and also how to genuinely help them make a difference in their life. Whatever they do, perform, and preach is a mix of physical health, mental wellness, and staying up to date with trends. Ancient wisdom on fitness Ancient Indian knowledge talks about health and fitness in a very holistic sense. The Bhagavad Gita talks about the importance of Yoga, emphasises the integration of body, mind, and spirit, and saw physical fitness not just as muscle strength or endurance but also as the road to mental clarity. And with time, several fitness icons blended ancient knowledge with modern perspectives, making the youth of their times interested and keen on improving their health. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Kaum zu glauben! He showed the world how ancient practices can be adapted to modern lifestyles, and the ease of Yoga people experienced while following him, was unmatchable. Baba Ramdev talked about Pranayama, asanas, and a simple, sattvik diet to promote balance and health. Thousands of people, including seers and saints, regarded him as the 'God of Awakening' and the man who travelled thousands of kilometers, all around India to teach people about Yoga, Ayurveda, and holistic living. And the way he blended modern perspectives and ancient wisdom was through his use of television to make Yoga a part of everyday lives, and then launching Patanjali Ayurved, where people received healthy, nutritious products, in a way they liked. For example, when Patanjali Ayurved launched a series of juices, the one that piqued people's interest most was the Aloe vera juice they offered. Full of vitamins, minerals, and good nutrients, the Aloe vera juice comes with fiber, and is an excellent, healthy alternative to packaged juices filled with sugar. Milind Soman Icons like Milind Soman come very rarely, but when they do, they influence generations. Be it Yoga, pilates, calisthenics, or strength training, Soman endorses it all to maintain a youthful, healthy life, and the way he talks about running, walking, and more such activities, and shares videos of himself practicing in nature, makes people wish to make some changes in their life. From running personal marathons between lush, green trails to talking about balanced nutrition and good sleep schedules, he does it all. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Another icon, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar's 'Art of Living' foundation, shows the perfect mix of ancient spiritual techniques and modern wellness strategies. With a combination of breathing exercises, meditation, Yoga, stress management, personal development, and more, Art of Living simplifies the complexities of modern life, and gives solutions that improve mental peace, physical health, and emotional health too. The Art of Living's emphasis on breath control and mindfulness is a part of ancient yogic science, but the way they have spread the word via modern technology, and in accessible formats, has quickly gained them contemporary audiences. Sadhguru Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev is another icon who talks about not just physical health, but also mental and spiritual one. He advocates yoga and meditation not just as physical exercise but as a way to expand your consciousness and improve the 'Prana' in you. Sadhguru's teachings talk about 'inner engineering', be it in the form of mobile applications like 'Miracle of Mind' or overnight meditation and dhyana sessions he organises, which in turn help people achieve a healthy mind, body, and soul. Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu congratulated the Union Minister for organising such a grand Yoga Countdown ceremony at L B Stadium. He stated that, 'Yoga promotes fitness and helps achieve both mental and physical balance. Nowadays, many people are suffering from work related stress. Our lack of attention leads to poor retention; however, yoga serves as a form of protection against these issues.' Students from various schools and yoga instructors performed Yogasanas to different traditional tunes, showcasing their yoga talents.

"Proof of PM Modi's efforts to promote Indian values": Union Minister Jitendra Singh on International Yoga Day
Udhampur (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], June 21 (ANI): Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Saturday hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's efforts to 'promote Indian values' as International Yoga Day gets celebrated and practised the world over in various cities. 'Today, International Yoga Day is celebrated worldwide today and this is proof of the efforts of PM Modi to promote Indian values throughout the world,' the Union Minister told ANI. The union minister made the remarks after participating in the Yoga program organised at the Indoor Stadium Ramnagar in Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur district to celebrate International Day of Yoga 2025. Visuals from the stadium showed Singh performing various stretching exercises and breathing exercises. Earlier today, multiple leaders, including Chief Ministers of various states and multiple Union Ministers, performed Yoga with various community members on International Yoga Day, as part of a nationwide effort led by PM Modi to promote health. Earlier today, Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya extended wishes on the International Yoga Day and urged everyone to do Yoga regularly to stay healthy. Speaking to the media about International Yoga Day, Mansukh Mandaviya said, 'I extend best wishes to everyone on the occasion of International Day of Yoga. Yoga is our culture, and it should be included in our everyday life. I urge everyone to perform Yoga regularly to stay healthy.' PM Modi too, earlier urged the international community to embrace 'inner peace' as a 'global policy' and make yoga a collective global responsibility. Speaking at the 11th International Day of Yoga celebrations in Visakhapatnam, the Prime Minister called upon countries to adopt yoga not just as a personal or cultural practice, but as a unifying force for humanity. 'I would like to take this opportunity to urge the global community on this important occasion to let this International Yoga Day mark the beginning of Yoga for Humanity. Let this be the day when inner peace becomes a global policy, where yoga is embraced not just as a personal practice, but as a powerful tool for global partnership and unity. Let every country and every society make yoga a shared responsibility, a common contribution toward collective well-being,' the Prime Minister said. The Prime Minister also reflected on India's 2014 proposal at the United Nations to declare June 21 as International Yoga Day and how, in record time, over 170 countries supported the move. He said that yoga has since grown into a worldwide practice that symbolises peace, balance, and cooperation. This year's celebrations saw participation from lakhs of people across states. (ANI)
