Calls for paedophile who raped 'bullied' girl, 12, to be handed 107-year sentence - after he also offered her to other men on the internet

Spanish prosecutors are seeking to put a paedophile who raped a vulnerable 12-year-old girl and offered her up to other men on the internet behind bars for 107 years.
The paedophile, a 45-year-old man who has only been identified as 'TLM', has already been found guilty of attacking the young girl, described as a child in the care system who suffered 'low self-esteem' caused by 'bullying at school and at home.'
In 2020, TLM began messaging the victim through the Badoo messaging app, before moving on to Instagram and Google Hangouts.
He began raping her at the care home she was in, whose care she was put under due to having a mother too unwell to take care of her, and took several indecent photos and videos of the girl with the intentions of sharing them online.
During his sick visits, TLM would show her pornographic films 'so the minor could watch them and loosen her inhibitions' and 'forced her to have sex,' according to the indictment.
He also convinced her to be photographed and recorded in her underwear, naked, or submitting to the sexual practices he imposed on her.
In November 2020, TLM took his assaults a step further, and began impersonating her on Instagram and European dating app Lovoo 'in order not only to achieve sexual relations with her himself, but also to simultaneously watch other men having sexual relations with the minor in his presence, in order to further satisfy his lustful desire', prosecutors said.
As a result of his 'indiscriminate offering' of her to online users, TLM took at least 20 videos of the girl being raped by himself or other men.
Following a raid on his home, cops found 232 photographs and nine videos of the child, as well as a further 576 videos and 889 digital photographs downloaded from illicit messaging platforms containing child abuse content on his phone.
Similar material was found on TLM's laptop, as well as several hard drives.
On top of seeking more than a century of jail time for the sick paedophile, prosecutors are also asking the Barcelona Court of Appeals, based in the High Court of Justice of Catalonia, to place a 25-year ban on him being within the child's home, school or workplace.
On top of this, they are seeking for the man to be banned from any profession that requires him to be regular contact with children, as well as €100,000 (£84,000) in compensation for the child.

Plastic surgeon jailed for trying to kill rival doctor after breaking into his home dressed in camo gear & knifing him

A PLASTIC surgeon has been jailed for trying to kill a rival doctor after breaking into his home in camo gear and stabbing him. Peter Brooks launched into the savage attack at Graeme Perks' home in Halam, Nottinghamshire, on January 14, 2021. 8 8 8 The 61-year-old, who is a consultant surgeon with a specialisation in burns and plastics, "hated" Mr Perks and wanted him "out of the way. He had been the subject of disciplinary proceedings before the horror, with statements from Mr Perks forming part of the evidence. Brooks has now been jailed for for life with a minimum term of 22 years after he was found guilty of two counts of attempted murder, attempted arson with intent to endanger life and possession of a knife. He was "voluntarily absent" from his month-long trial because he was on hunger strike and said he would "rather be dead than incarcerated". On the morning of the horror, Brooks cycled to his Mr Perks' home dressed in a full camouflage jacket, trousers and hat armed with a crowbar, cans of petrol, matches and a knife. Prosecutor Tracy Ayling KC said: "His intention was, say the Crown, to break into Mr Perks's house, set fire to it and if necessary, stab Mr Perks. "In short, he intended to kill Mr Perks by either or both those means." Brooks broke in through a conservatory and spread flammable liquid on the floor in a bid to burn the house down. Mr Perks, believing his son had popped over, went to investigate a "loud bang" when he was confronted by the attempted killer. Brooks then stabbed him in the abdomen and "made his escape" before Mr Perks was discovered injured by his wife and son. He was rushed to hospital with a 95 per cent chance of death and underwent three operations before he was placed in a medically-induced coma. Mr Perks suffered knife wounds to his liver and pancreas but miraculously survived. 8 8 8 During his statement to police, he told how was woken up by the bang so went downstairs and saw a figure lurking outside. The dad-of-four believed it was his son Henry "having a breakdown" so he approached him. Mr Perks recalled: "Nothing was said, and the next thing I remember was feeling a blow to my body. "I put my hands to the area where I felt it, [and] it was wet and sticky. "I thought I felt something poking out from my abdomen." Police arrived at the home to find broken glass around the conservatory door and "a strong smell of petrol". Brooks meanwhile was discovered sleeping on a bench outside someone's home around four hours after the alarm was raised. His wife had reported him missing after she "reported finding an amount of blood in their garage". He was treated for hypothermia and injuries to his right hand before being arrested. Brooks denied two counts of attempted murder, one count of attempted arson with intent to endanger life, and one count of possession of a bladed article. 8 8

Glasgow sees highest referrals to youth trauma service SAFE

The SAFE Project, run by child and youth care charity Kibble, offers support to children and families affected by crime, including those who have witnessed violence or abuse. Since launching in 2021, SAFE has seen referrals triple, with 46 per cent coming from Glasgow. Kibble said the high number of referrals in Glasgow highlights the link between crime, social inequality, and the need for trauma-informed services. Read more: 'We never gave up': Family's heartbreaking tribute as body of missing teen found Loads of new homes to be built on site of destroyed Glasgow tower blocks Rangers make decision on Oumar Camara as Andrew Cavenagh takeover has impact Inverclyde and South Lanarkshire accounted for 24 per cent of referrals, followed by Renfrewshire and East Ayrshire. Dan Johnson, executive director and forensic psychologist at Kibble, said: "The trauma caused by crime in childhood can affect every part of a young person's life, from relationships and learning to their long-term mental health. "The SAFE Project is designed to wrap around the whole family, offering therapy, advocacy and practical support when it's needed most. "What we're seeing is a level of unmet need that's both sobering and deeply motivating. "We're proud that SAFE is already changing lives and that families from Glasgow to the Borders are finding their way to us." To date, the project has reached more than 400 young people and their families across 22 local authority areas in Scotland. Earlier this year, the charity secured funding from the Scottish Government's Victim-Centred Approach Fund to continue the SAFE Project into 2025/26, with indicative support for 2026/27. Mr Johnson said: "Supporting young people affected by crime isn't the responsibility of one service alone, instead it takes a network of professionals working together. "That's why a core part of SAFE is helping educators, social workers and police navigate the impact of trauma. "By equipping those on the frontline with psychological insight and practical advice, we're building a more joined-up, trauma-informed system that can respond more effectively and compassionately to the needs of young victims and witnesses."
