MCSO: 2 arrested in Rockdale woman's dog mauling death
AUSTIN (KXAN) — Two people were arrested in connection with a Rockdale woman's death following a dog mauling in December 2024, according to the Milam County Sheriff's Office.
Arrest warrants were issued for 61-year-old Joel Rubio and 65-year-old Terri Ann Frank on Monday on the second-degree felony charge of attack by dog resulting in death, which is known as Lillian's Law, according to a release from MCSO.
KXAN is working to obtain attorney information for Rubio and Frank. We will update this if statements are received.
On Dec. 18, 2024, MCSO deputies responded to a home on Beverly Drive around 1:15 p.m., which is just outside the city limits of Rockdale. When deputies arrived at the home, they found a dead woman, who was identified as 88-year-old Delores Woolverton.
An autopsy report showed Woolverton's cause of death was a 'Canine Mauling,' according to MCSO.
According to the sheriff's office, seven dogs were found on the property at the time of the incident, and they were 'removed and secured.' A Justice of the Peace ordered for the dogs to be euthanized, according to MCSO.
According to the investigation, at least one of the dogs involved 'had a prior history of an unprovoked attack against an AMR employee,' which fulfilled the requirements for the definition of a dangerous dog that is described under Lillian's Law.

MCSO searching for suspect who evaded on motorcycle
MIDLAND COUNTY, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- The Midland County Sheriff's Office has asked for help from the community to identify a suspect accused of evading arrest. According to Crime Stoppers, on May 30, investigators with the MCSO tried to contact a man at the Kent Kwik located in the 5000 block of Highway 349. However, the man ran from deputies, got on his motorcycle, and sped away from the parking lot. MCSO said that investigators followed the motorcycle, but it continued to evade, reaching speeds of more than 100 miles per hour. Multiple people are being held without bond after complaints about drug sales led to their arrests. Former Bayou La Batre police officer B.J. Squires arrested again

(WKRG) — A former Bayou La Batre police officer who was arrested in November has now been arrested again, has learned. MCSO: One detained in Eight Mile shooting on Markris Circle According to a Mobile County Sheriff's Office news release, B.J. Squires was arrested today after violating the terms of his bond. Squires was arrested in November following an investigation by the sheriff's office and the Mobile County District Attorney's Office. That investigation led to a grand jury indictment on charges of first-degree rape, second-degree rape, first-degree sexual abuse and second-degree sexual abuse, the release said. The terms of his bond required Squires to 'not depart from State,' but the DA's office received information that Squires had gone to a baseball game in Biloxi, Miss., June 5, the release said. The DA's office immediately filed a motion to revoke Squires' bond and signed a warrant for his arrest, the release said. Hundreds run across iconic Mobile bridge to help Africatown Mobile County Sheriff's deputies found Squires today and arrested him, along with two other individuals, on Dauphin Island Parkway, the release stated.
