Stephen Fry gave an insight into his 'emotionally violent' stint on Celebrity Traitors this week.
Celebrity Traitors will once again be hosted by Claudia Winkleman with the line-up of contestants making their way to Ardross Castle to kick off filming.
The comedian, 67, likened his time on the series to 'a Chinese foot massage' as he praised the programme.
Speaking on The Show People podcast, Stephen explained: 'It was a bit like a Chinese foot massage. You know it is absolutely agony but you sort of want to do it again. It is emotionally violent but you kind of love it.
'Obviously, I can't say a word about what is in this recently recorded celebrity version I suppose. I am certainly not telling you if I am a traitor or a faithful. I am one or the other.
'I have said no to any number of Strictlys and Get Me Out of Heres as it is just not my kind of thing. But this, I watched the first and second series and it is such a clever game.'
He added: 'It's so extraordinary what it does to the psychology of the individual. And I just thought it would be really interesting to play it. And what an opportunity to do so. And that's what I found.'
The celebrities who will transform into Traitors and Faithfuls include a variety of actors; Stephen, Ruth Codd, Celia Imrie, Tameka Empson and Mark Bonnar.
Comedians Alan Carr, Nick Mohammed, Joe Wilkinson and Lucy Beaumont will also take part, joining singers Paloma Faith, Cat Burns and Charlotte Church.
Also confirmed for the show are presenters Jonathan Ross, Clare Balding and Kate Garraway, Olympic diver Tom Daley, rugby player Joe Marler, historian and writer David Olusoga and YouTuber Niko Omilana.
Missing from the confirmed line-up was actress and comedian Jennifer Saunders, who was heavily rumoured to be taking part.
Comedian Lucy became the last star to sign up for the show on Monday following her shock split from fellow comedian Jon Richardson.
The Award-winning funny woman, 40, is said to be keen to 'make more of a name for herself' with audiences and will be heading off to the show's Scottish castle to begin filming within the next few days.
A source told The Sun: 'Lucy is a massive fan of the show and is so excited about getting stuck in at Ardross Castle.'
They added: 'After her split from Jon, she has been working really hard to make more of a name for herself and Celebrity Traitors is the ideal opportunity.'
MailOnline have contacted Lucy's reps and BBC for comment.
As excitement increases for the Celebrity Traitors, BBC bosses took extra precautions to keep the cast under wraps ahead of its reveal, following a series of leaks.
According to The Sun, executives put in place a military-style operation to transport the all-star cast to Ardross Castle.
Instead of flying into Inverness Airport from their homes across the globe, the celebrities will travel by several means including rail, air, car, and boat.
And a no-fly zone is officially in place over host Claudia 's Highlands HQ to stop drone photographers from securing any images.
A source told the publication: 'For a show with secrecy and shocking plot twists at its heart, navigating the celebrity version has been a real puzzler.
'Casting the likes of TV presenter Kate Garraway, former rugby star Joe Marler, and singer Paloma Faith creates a situation which is a lot more open to leaks and gossip than recruiting a call centre manager from Liverpool or a retired opera singer.
'So execs have worked really hard to lock down every inch of the production.'
The source added that instead of a simple travel process, celebrities will arrive via various methods of transport.
The source also claimed that a no-fly zone has already been put in place to stop any preparations from being snapped.
A spokesperson for the BBC declined to comment.

A man diagnosed with terminal cancer has attended his own wake as he said he wanted to "celebrate my life"."I'm 'Party Pat'. Doctor Who stars join forces for Ace book about iconic jacket
During an episode of Doctor Who in 1988, Sophie Aldred beat up a Dalek with a baseball bat while wearing her character's iconic years later, standing next to one of the models used in that very same episode, the actress admits her old nemesis has not "aged terribly well".The 62-year-old played Ace, who was a troubled but clever teen who became a companion of the seventh Doctor played by Sylvester spoke to the BBC at the Discover Bucks Museum in Aylesbury, where her co-star Dalek model is on actress, who lives in nearby Hertfordshire, has written a book about her character's jacket, with contributions from Doctor Who stars including David Tennant, Jodie Whittaker and Peter Capaldi. Back in 1987, the then 24-year-old had suggested the jacket to the show's costume designer after seeing teenagers, like Ace, wearing similar ones in was soon crammed with more than 50 badge; a mix of Aldred's own keepsakes and additions from the costume pinned on her Blue Peter badges, her old lacrosse captain's badge, and a Thunderbirds badge, having written a university dissertation on creator Gerry Anderson."I've got a Charlton Athletic badge there which is my team, however Ace came from Perivale in west London [so] she would have likely supported QPR or something like that," she explained. The jacket was worn in the story Remembrance of the Daleks, where Ace famously beat up a Dalek before jumping out of a window to to face again with one of the Daleks used in that story, she said: "It's not aged terribly well, has it?"Back in the day we didn't have HD so we actually could get away with slightly battered Daleks with paint splashes and brush marks and things like that."She recalled: "Our stunt director said, 'Look, sit down. You've been through the equivalent of a minor car crash in terms of adrenaline'."And so, off everybody went and I was sitting there doing breathing exercises... Then I heard, 'Uh, excuse me. Could somebody let me out, please?'"They'd all gone and left the poor bloke inside the Dalek." In 2022, she returned to the screen alongside Jodie Whittaker's Doctor, once again swinging a baseball bat at a recalled: "I said to Chris Chibnall, who was the producer: 'I've got the jacket, do you want me to bring it?' and he said 'Yes!'"Young people who didn't know anything about Ace saw me in that as an older woman and they also loved the character of Ace."There's something about Ace that I think appeals to people because she's very realistic and she's very authentic." The idea to write a book about the jacket came from Doctor Who fan Shawn into two parts, the first instalment, Ace's Jacket: The Inside Story, includes fictional tales about how each badge ended up on Ace's coat."I went off to various Doctor Who alumni like David Tennant, Chris Chibnall... I said to them, could you write a story about one of the badges that takes your interest?"I got in touch with a lot of the people I know, I collared people at parties and conventions."They've written little short stories or poems - we've had paintings, we've had cartoons, we've had all sorts."The list of more than 50 people who have taken part includes names from across Doctor Who's 63-year history, including guest star Hugh Bonneville and writer Steven every living actor who has played the leading role made a fans were also invited to contribute such as content creator Christel Dee and writer Beth Axford. The actress said much of the money raised from the book would go towards charities Autism All Stars and the National Autistic explained: "It felt like something really great to do for charity as well."We wanted to choose charities which had some kind of association with Doctor Who and there's a lot of Doctor Who fans who do have autism. I've met so many of them. "They're such incredible, amazing people. I just really felt that it would be good to raise some awareness and some money as well for for these charities."Aldred admitted it felt surreal, decades on, to still be wearing the same jacket and standing in front of a Dalek talking about she insisted she would not change a thing: "It's extraordinary. TLC's Sister Wives brought their 19th season to a close on Sunday with the fourth and final installment of their One-on-One special, where Janelle Brown opened up about her sexuality. Janelle, 56, was the the second to marry Kody Brown in 1993, following Meri tying the knot in 1990, and she was also the second to leave him in 2023, after Christine left in 2021. While only one of the Sister Wives remain we d to Kody - Robyn, who tied the knot in 2010 - they are all still a part of the show, though this year's "reunion" was instead a series of one-on-one interviews with Sukanya Krishnan. Janelle used part of her time to clear up speculation that she is 'asexual,' which she assured viewers is not the case. 'I promise you, I'm not asexual. Everybody has this idea just because I didn't want to have assembly line kisses with Kody or whatever, that I was asexual,' Janelle said. 'And the hormones are hell when you're single. But, you know, it's like, you just deal with it or whatever,' she added. 'I suspect that someday down the road, if there's somebody else, then that will be part of it,' she added. She added of the rumors, 'It's so wild to me that everybody has assumed. So, just trust that I am not. I am very... I'm a very sexual being. I'm a very Earth mama.' When asked if she would be part of a polygamous relationship again, Janelle added, 'I'm not gonna say no, but I just don't foresee that I'm gonna meet very many people who live plural marriage these days.' When asked if she would be open to a monogamous relationship, she said, 'Maybe, but I'm definitely not gonna be dating on those weird apps.' Host Sukanya Krishnan asked Janelle to describe the kind of man she is looking for, as she responded, 'Someone who's very solid, who knows who they are.' She added that she doesn't want someone who is, 'super flashy,' adding, 'I'm kind of done with flashy.' Janelle welcomed six children with Kody - Hunter, Madison, Logan, Gabriel, Savanah and the late Garrison, adding she has had an interesting experience watching her daughters with their husbands. 'You know, it's interesting. I watch my children, our children with their husbands, and I'm like, "Wow, that's a really different experience,"' she said. 'I suspect that someday down the road, if there's somebody else, then that will be part of it,' she added. 'They're very engaged with each other and so, I don't know, I guess I'm just like, "Huh, maybe I want something a little bit more like that,' she admitted. Krishnan said near the end of the special that it was her hope that they could get everybody on a couch together at some point. 'Yeah, maybe. I'd really like that. I actually... that could happen. That'd be very interesting,' she said.
