Japan Launches Fast-Track Entry for S. Korea

Japan will introduce dedicated fast-track immigration lanes for South Korean visitors in June, commemorating the 60th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between the two nations.
The special entry lanes will be available throughout June at Tokyo's Haneda Airport and Fukuoka Airport in southwestern Japan.
In a reciprocal gesture, South Korea will offer a similar expedited process for Japanese travelers at Seoul's Gimpo Airport and Busan's Gimhae Airport.
This marks the first time Japan has implemented a nationality-specific immigration fast lane, according to the Immigration Services Agency.
Eligible travelers must have visited Japan or South Korea within the past year and complete pre-boarding procedures to qualify for the fast-track system. The service will apply to flights arriving between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Despite periodic tensions over historical and territorial issues, tourism between the two countries continues to flourish.
In 2024, South Korean tourists
topped
the list of foreign visitors to Japan, with over 8 million arrivals, according to the Japan National Tourism Organization.

Interior Min. Participates with Citizens in Celebrating Eid al-Adha
Taarek Refaat Police officers from various security directorates joined citizens in celebrating Eid al-Adha, taking to the streets and squares to offer their congratulations and distribute flowers to passersby and motorists. This comes within the framework of the Ministry of Interior's strategy, one of whose main pillars is to activate the societal role of all security sectors and engage citizens in celebrating various occasions.
