Dubai Fashion Week Announces Global Lineup For AW'25/26 Edition
This edition introduces several international names, including Australian couture brand Paolo Sebastian, Istanbul-based label Les Benjamins, and Indian couture house Manish Malhotra.
Dubai Fashion Week (DFW) returns from February 1st to the 6th, 2025, at Dubai Design District (d3), showcasing Autumn/Winter 2025/2026 collections and leading the global fashion calendar ahead of Paris, Milan, New York and London. This season features over 30 international brands, with designers from France, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Russia, Turkiye and the UAE.
The week kicks off with the Instagram DFW Party and builds on past initiatives like the Round Table discussions. 'The Middle East's growing demand for luxury fashion and its diverse craftsmanship continues to position it as a thriving hub for design talent,' Khadija Al Bastaki, senior vice president of Dubai Design District, tells SceneStyled.
This edition marks the debut of several global names, including Australian couture house Paolo Sebastian and Istanbul's Les Benjamins. New York-based British-Iraqi designer Tara Babylon will join for the first time with her signature avant-garde evening wear, while Indian couture house Manish Malhotra closes the event in the grand finale. Returning favourites like BLSSD, Michael Cinco, Lama Jouni and Dima Ayad will also showcase their collections.
Alongside the runway shows, the program also includes exclusive events hosted by That Concept Store and Etoile Boutique, as well as activations and events happening across the city. The final day will host private presentations for buyers, offering an exclusive look at collections from a lineup of regional and global talent. 'Dubai Fashion Week continues to demonstrate the city's ability to unite a global community, from its diverse roster of designers to the international buyers it attracts,' Mohammed Aqra, chief strategy officer of the Arab Fashion Council, adds.

UAE startup makes waves with free mineral water for everyone - Middle East Business News and Information
Staying hydrated just got easier, and greener, thanks to Ourwatr, a homegrown UAE startup that's launching a nationwide free mineral water programme starting June 2025. It's a first in the region: clean, refreshing mineral water made freely available across the country, delivered through a unique model that blends sustainability, community care, and social impact. From metro stations and shopping malls to parks and government offices, thousands of chilled bottles of mineral water, sourced locally from Dibba, Fujairah, will soon be within everyone's reach, every day. Ourwatr's mission is simple: hydration is a right, not a privilege. 'At Ourwatr, we believe that drinking water should be accessible to all,' says Abhinav Murali, Co-founder. 'That's why we're giving away premium mineral water for free, and every bottle supports communities in need. It's hydration with heart, proudly made right here in the UAE.' Stamp of UAE quality All Ourwatr bottles carry the prestigious EQM (Emirates Quality Mark) certification, guaranteeing they meet strict UAE national and international quality standards. When you grab a bottle, you're assured of top-quality water, safe, pure, refreshing and approved by the country's standardisation authority. Mission in a bottle With temperatures rising across the UAE, especially during summer, access to clean drinking water is more important than ever, for workers, families, children, and the elderly alike. 'In our desert climate, hydration isn't just healthy; it's life-saving,' adds co-founder Bharath Mohan. 'Each bottle we provide is a small act of kindness toward our community.' Ourwatr is more than just a startup, it's a mission in a bottle. Launched by three young, UAE-based entrepreneurs, the idea was sparked by a simple but powerful observation: access to free, convenient hydration isn't always a given. Wanting to change that, the trio built a business with heart at its core. The team is also in talks with various UAE charitable organisations and government agencies to expand its reach and impact. For every bottle distributed, a portion will be donated to local charities, turning everyday hydration into a meaningful act of giving. A Model Built on Purpose and Sustainability Ourwatr isn't just about water, it's about doing good. Instead of selling to consumers, the company partners with brands and organisations who cover the production and distribution costs. In return, sponsors co-brand the bottles, using them as a platform to share positive messages and shared values, while making a real difference. 'Sustainability isn't just about less waste, it's about creating lasting, meaningful change,' explains Sharat Nair, Co-founder. The bottles are crafted from recyclable materials, aligning with the UAE's zero-waste goals and green agenda. Backing UAE Vision 2030 Ourwatr's initiative supports the UAE's Vision 2030 goals around health, sustainability, and quality of life. The startup is already collaborating with local authorities to expand water access and reach as many people as possible. More than just water, Ourwatr is delivering hope, equality, and care, one bottle at a time.

Top 2025 Summer Fashion Trends: Dark Colors & Unconventional Cuts
Pasant Elzaitony The summer fashion trends for this season are defined by sophisticated and standout details. Dresses, skirts, pants, and tank tops are seen everywhere. However, what truly sets this season apart is how these pieces are paired together. The '90s trend is making a comeback, particularly with the look of pants under dresses and skirts which is an iconic '90s fashion statement. • Unconventional Colors Summer is usually known for its bright, light colors, but this season dark tones are making a bold statement. Shades like brown and burgundy are among the top used colors for the summer palette, along with deep navy blue. At the same time, pastel hues remain popular, and all shades of yellow are trending, from soft butter yellow to vibrant canary. Floral tones, from pink to fuchsia, are also in vogue, alongside enchanting shades of green. • Standout Prints This summer brings prints typically reserved for winter, like large and small plaids, into the spotlight. Stripes, both vertical and horizontal, are also trending, along with polka dots. Animal prints, such as leopard, zebra, and snake, are prominent too. Just choose one pattern and incorporate it into your look whether it's a bag, belt, pants, or a top. • Unconventional Details It seems fashion designers are determined to break out of their comfort zones and take 2025 fashion into bolder, more experimental territory. One striking design features one pant leg and one skirt side in a single piece. Ruffles (seen in dreamy, flowing dresses) are also making a strong comeback. Finally, shine this summer, express your style freely, and mix and match from your wardrobe in a way that reflects your unique personality. Lege-Cy Surprises With Chill Pop Drop ‘Law Nasyany'
Known for sharp rap cuts, Lege-Cy shifts gears on 'Law Nasyany', a mellow, emotive track produced with Ismail Nosrat. Jun 03, 2025 Cairo-based rapper and songwriter Lege-Cy takes a surprising turn on his latest release 'Law Nasyany', trading his usual bars for a softer, more melodic sound. While composed, performed, and written by Lege-Cy, the track is produced by collaborator Ismail Nosrat. 'Law Nasyany' is built on chilled-out percussion, airy synths, and a stripped-back structure that leaves space for vulnerability. The production leans into minimalist pop textures, while Lege-Cy's performance taps into themes of loss and emotional detachment, pulling listeners into a soundscape that's laid-back but laced with quiet intensity. The cover art, designed by Saddam Mekky, matches the track's hazy mood. It's a standout release not just for its sonic shift, but for how effortlessly Lege-Cy adapts to the genre, proving he can occupy more than one lane.
