"The vision is for a new covered 4G facility to be situated on the current undeveloped Neale Cooper Pitch 6, to allow for all-year-round use for our men and women's teams, both academies, AFCCT programmes and other local junior and amateur teams," the club said.
"We will also be making some additional improvements to Pittodrie Stadium over the next two years, in line with our previously announced medium-term plan of remaining at our current home."
And chairman Dave Cormack added: "Together with our investors, I remain committed to driving Aberdeen FC forward and continuing to make our supporters and the region proud of its football club."

Chelsea agree deal with Borussia Dortmund for Man United target Jamie Bynoe-Gittens
Chelsea have agreed a deal to sign Manchester United target, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, from Borussia Dortmund. The Red Devils have been looking at ways to improve their attack all summer and one name who popped up on the radar was English winger Gittens. Advertisement The youngster has impressed in the Bundesliga, scoring 12 goals in 49 games for the German giants. It was reported in the winter that United were looking to beat Liverpool and Chelsea to the signing of the 20 year old. The player was also highlighted as a potential option to replace Antony at Old Trafford but it appears that Gittens will not be a Man United player this year. According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have finally found an agreement over a deal for the winger. He posted on his X account that, 'Jamie Bynoe-Gittens to Chelsea, here we go! Deal agreed club to club with Borussia Dortmund.' Advertisement The Englishman has agreed to a contract that will run until 2032 and reportedly only ever wanted to sign for Chelsea. The medical is understood to have taken place last night for the player. This is not the first time that the Londoners have gazumped United in the transfer market lately as they stole away Geovany Quenda from Sporting CP when Ruben Amorim's side looked like clear favourites to do a deal. What's more, United also missed out on Liam Delap who chose Chelsea over the Mancunian club earlier this summer. The deal for Gittens will also be interesting for United for another reason. Chelsea have been one of the clubs most seriously linked with a move for Alejandro Garnacho. Therefore, it is yet to be seen whether this transfer will have put to bed any potential interest the Stamford Bridge side have in doing a deal for the Argentinian later in the window. James Trafford to Newcastle United confidence grows with key date approaching
Confidence is growing that James Trafford will be Newcastle United's first signing of the summer after a patient wait from those inside St James' Park. After a pursuit lasting longer than 12 months, the Burnley stopper has certainly had to bide his time amid rampant speculation over his future. Advertisement The Clarets have stuck an inflated price tag on Trafford's signature of late after initially asking for £20m last summer. Since then, the goalkeeper has made history in the Championship and entered the fray to compete with Jordan Pickford at international level. All signals in recent weeks have pointed towards Trafford arriving at St James' Park, with movement expected in early July, when Newcastle will be on a healthier financial footing given the start of a new accounting period. The key date for the diaries is June 30, which marks the PSR deadline passing and a new, rolling three-year period starting. READ MORE: Newcastle United's transfer priority is staring them in the face and must be addressed READ MORE: Newcastle United stage 'quiet talks' with Alexander Isak as Liverpool clarity emerges Advertisement Personal terms have never been an issue, given an agreement was reached on that front in 2024. Discussing last summer's failed move, Trafford recently told Ben Foster's 'Fozcast': "The club that I was close to going, it was a good fit for me. It was brilliant for me and I really believed in it. 'I wanted to move, not just because I didn't want to play in the Championship, I had no shame playing in the Championship. I have no ego to think I'm better than the Championship. You only prove something by performing and showing people. You can say whatever you want but unless you perform. "It was just when an opportunity and a situation you think suits you can happen, you should take it and you should try and go for it, so I wanted to move. It was close but it didn't end up happening." Burnley have signed goalkeeper Max Weiss in a £4.3m deal from German side Karlsuher, only adding to the feeling Trafford was set to depart Turf Moor. Meanwhile, Nick Pope is expected to stay on Tyneside, while Martin Dubravka and Odysseas Vlachodimos could depart in the coming months.
