on Wednesday night in New York, injecting his 6-foot-8 two-way skill set and Duke-freshman resume into a star-studded roster.
The San Antonio Spurs followed at No. 2 by selecting Rutgers guard Dylan Harper, who averaged 19.4 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.0 assists as a freshman.
Philadelphia then used the third pick on Baylor wing VJ Edgecombe, last season's Big 12 Freshman of the Year after posting 15.0 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.
