Theme park staff stopped a British man who allegedly staged a fake wedding with a nine year-old girl. The ceremony was seen by huge crowds under the iconic castle at Disneyland Paris. The 22 year-old is man was said to have played the role of the "groom" in strange event at dawn on June 21 beneath thepark's Sleeping Beauty castle. He told police that the "wedding" was staged for a social media video.
Disneyland Paris staff reportedly intervened and alerted authorities when spotted a nine year-old Ukrainian child dressed as a bride. The can be booked outside public visiting hours, and the organisers are said to have reserved it for what they claimed would be an authentic wedding ceremony, reported Yorkshire Live .and the Express.
Footage obtained by French broadcaster BFM TV showed around 100 guests seated before the ceremony began while a female violin trio performed in front of a flower-adorned stage, the Times reported. The event is said to have cost the organiser €130,000 (£111,229).
Alexandre Verney, assistant prosecutor for the Seine-et-Marne département, said: "Four people were arrested and questioned: the groom, who was believed to be the organiser of the event and is presumed to be British and aged 22; the mother of the child, a 41-year-old Ukrainian woman; and two Latvian nationals aged 55 and 24.
"It wasn't a wedding but a staged wedding that was to be filmed with a hundred extras. They privatised Disneyland, claiming that it was a real marriage."

The mother and the older Latvian were released after the child was medically examinaned, which showed no signs of abuse or restraint, it was reported. But the British man and the other Latvian were stopped for questioning over potential money laundering and fraud offences, said the prosecutor's office.
Disney thanked its staff for halting the peculiar proceedings. A witness told Le Parisien: "We were not informed at any point that it was about a film shoot. We all believed we were going to be part of a wedding. Everyone was shocked. No one saw this coming. Disneyland handles things very well. They immediately cancelled when they realised that the bride was a child. We were appalled by that."

Two huge bears escape at UK wildlife park as cops lock visitors down amid hunt
Police were called to Wildwood Devon at Escot Park after two resident brown bears called Mish and Lucy got out of their enclosure, heading straight for their food store CCTV has captured the moment two rescue bears escaped from an enclosure at a British wildlife park before helping themselves to a weeks' worth of honey. Police were called after two resident bears got out of their home at Wildwood Devon at Escot Park near Ottery St Mary. Mish and Lucy, who were found after being abandoned by their mother in Albania three years earlier, moved to the site in 2022 and "would have been unable to survive in the wild." The two brown bear orphan cubs moved to the site after being rescued from the Albian wilderness. But yesterday afternoon the pair, who weigh around 400lbs, fled their enclosure, sparking a major police hunt. The CCTV footage, which is how staff monitored the pair and ensured they "posed no risk to the public", shows Lucy devouring buckets worth of food. Instead of venturing to the visitors, the bears headed straight for their food store - where they helped themselves to a selection of treats, such as berries, vegetables, fish, meats, and a huge haul of honey. Visitors - including 16 children who were locked away in a play barn - were taken to a place of safety as specialists officers attended the scene. They were returned to their home safely a short while later. Devon and Cornwall Police said: "We were made aware of two resident bears having escaped from their home at Escot Park on the afternoon of Monday, June 23. "Specialist officers attended and visitors taken to places of safety. The bears were safely returned to their area and secured." The two bears escaped to the food store to help themselves to a selection of snacks. The pair, who are both five years old, had a week's worth of honey before being returned to their enclosure. The incident lasted around an hour and the bears were closely monitored during the process.A spokesperson for Wildwood Devon said: "Two young bears escaped from their enclosure at Wildwood Devon this afternoon, heading straight for their food store. "Mish and Lucy (both five years old), who posed no threat to the public at any point, enjoyed a selection of snacks - including a week's worth of honey - before being safely returned to their enclosure by the expert keeper team within the hour. As a precaution, all visitors on site were promptly escorted to a secure building. "The bears were continuously monitored both on the ground and via CCTV until they calmly returned to their enclosure and fell asleep. In line with standard protocol, police attended the scene, and an investigation is now underway to determine how the incident occurred. "The exhibit is secure, and we are grateful to our staff and visitors for their cooperation, which helped us resolve the situation swiftly and safely. Wildwood Devon will be open as usual from tomorrow." Wildwood said at the time it rescued the bears it wanted to give them an enclosure which had been left "as natural as possible with the aim of creating a lifelong habitat". The bears, who were rescued in 2019, were kept briefly in Belgium, unable to return back to the wild "for their own safety", before being brought to Escot in June 2021 when a £250,000 appeal was launched to build the enclosure. Wildwood Devon general manager said previously: "They're the first bears we've ever had at Escot and have become firm favourites with our visitors."

I was on my knees, smoking bongs for breakfast in midst of drug & booze addiction after Angelina split, admits Brad Pitt
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) WHEN Brad Pitt sat down with Hollywood podcaster Dax Shepard, he no doubt hoped to polish his gilded image and keep the chat on track about his new movie, F1. But as he opened up on his issues with drugs, booze and addiction, and how his life spun out of control after his bitter split from actress Angelina Jolie, a darker picture emerged. And as he admitted he once started his day with a bong and four fizzy drinks, fans were given a startling insight into his past. Brad, 61, said: 'You know, I was pretty much on my knees and I was really open. 'I was trying anything and everyone. 'Anything anyone threw at me. 'It was a difficult time. 'I needed rebooting. 'I needed to wake the f*** up in some areas.' Brad admitted getting high on marijuana before breakfast during one 'bugged out' year as he discussed how close he came to quitting acting. On smoking, he said: 'I'm done. Inside Brangelina's bitter fight over £150million paradise vineyard as she cuts him out of couple's dream home 'Couple of years now. 'None — 30 years of smoking . . . I've had enough.' He met Dax at a 30-strong, all-male Alcoholics Anonymous meeting in Los Angeles, where they both live, revealing: 'Everyone was so open. 'It gives you permission to say, 'I'm going to step out on this ledge and see what happens'. And I really grew to love it. 'Anything could go, because some guys would be like, 'Do you know what, I didn't have such a bad week' and (they would) talk about their wins, little failures, little successes. 'A lot of insecurity' 'There's always one guy, though, that just loves to hear himself talk. But it was really moving.' The actor is now attempting to get his career back on track with the release of Formula One movie F1, which is out today, at the same time as he enjoys a blossoming romance with glamorous Ines de Ramon, 32. In his new flick, he plays veteran driver Sonny Hayes, who comes out of retirement to rescue buddy Ruben Cervantes' (Javier Bardem) ailing race team, years after a near-fatal crash. British F1 ace Lewis Hamilton is a producer and the film, which has garnered mixed reviews, is directed by Joseph Kosinski and the rest of the team behind Top Gun: Maverick, except Tom Cruise. Fans will note the parallels in what could be a case of art imitating life. Sonny is shown as a washed-up 'old man' who has fallen into gambling and only rediscovers his love for the sport when he faces competition from a younger driver. I needed rebooting. I needed to wake the f*** up in some areas Brad Pitt Brad now admits he was similarly lost after Angelina, 50, filed for divorce in September 2016. She cited irreconcilable differences around the same time as the FBI and the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services investigated Brad for alleged child abuse after an incident on the family private jet. It was reported that the star had lost his temper when their son Maddox stepped in to stand up for his mother during a fight. One source claimed the actor 'was drunk' and the situation quickly 'escalated'. During the probe, Brad voluntarily completed drug testing. Meanwhile, two of his kids stopped using his last name. Brad, who was raised in Springfield, Missouri, was cleared of all allegations. But his personal life was in turmoil, and led to him seeking professional help. However, he recently revealed he was rapped for discussing his enthusiasm for Alcoholics Anonymous in a New York Times interview. Explaining why he wanted to talk about the closed-door sessions, Brad told Dax's Armchair Expert podcast: 'It was a men's group, it was AA, it was when I was first getting sober. 'I just thought it was incredible, men sharing their experiences, their foibles, their missteps, their wants, their aches and a lot of humour. 'I thought it was a really special experience. 'So I do this interview, and I got admonished by someone from the higher-ups, saying, 'It's anonymous'.' Few could have predicted that Brad would end up in AA when so-called Brangelina first went public two decades ago in 2005. The relationship was controversial from the start amid rumours they had fallen for each other on the set of Mr And Mrs Smith, at a time when he was still married to Friends star Jennifer Aniston. First half of the career was a lot of insecurity and you're always doubting Brad Pitt Meanwhile, Angelina was known for wearing a locket containing ex-partner Billy Bob Thornton's blood. She furiously denied an affair, saying: 'To be intimate with a married man, when my own father cheated on my mother, is not something I could forgive. 'I could not look at myself in the morning if I did that. 'I wouldn't be attracted to a man who would cheat on his wife.' 8 The star is now attempting to get his career back on track with the release of Formula One movie F1, which is out today Credit: PA 8 In the flick, he plays veteran driver Sonny Hayes, who comes out of retirement to rescue buddy Ruben Cervantes' ailing race team Credit: Warner Bros Heartbroken Jen later made clear her feelings when she told Vanity Fair magazine: 'What happened to him after the separation — it's his life now. 'I've made a conscious effort not to add to the toxicity of this situation. 'I haven't retaliated.' Angelina, who had already adopted kids Maddox from Cambodia and Zahara from Ethiopia when she met Brad, gave birth to their first child Shiloh in May 2006. Pax was adopted in Vietnam in March 2007, and twins Knox and Vivienne were delivered in France in July 2008. For years, the Pitt-Jolies were the image of the perfect rainbow family. Angelina balanced being a mum with shooting critically acclaimed films, including 2008's Changeling, and Brad continued to be box office gold, releasing hits such as The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button, Ocean's Thirteen and Inglourious Basterds, despite hitting middle age. He became Hollywood's biggest star off the back of a 'white trash' background in the Midwest, where he was raised as a Southern Baptist by his dad William, who ran a trucking company, and mum Jane, a teacher. His brother Doug 'was always getting in trouble', according to Brad, who added: 'Dad had me mowing the lawn at eight, you know. 'All my life I had a job. 'I remember he (my brother) got in fights before I did. 'I remember getting in a fight and grabbing a guy by the balls. 'It worked.' Brad quit a journalism degree at the University of Missouri to try to make it in LA when a friend offered him a month's stay in his dad's flat in the unfashionable suburb of Burbank in the mid-1980s. He had just $275 to his name and says: 'First half of the career was a lot of insecurity and you're always doubting.' I don't think about perception much anymore Brad Pitt After a long stint working as an extra, while struggling to get a Screen Actors Guild card, he almost quit acting, despite winning a breakout role on Thelma & Louise in 1991. He said: 'They would say, if you're not working in five years, go home. I got that at year four. I had hit a point — 1994 is such a bugged out year. 'I'd had not such great experiences coming off a couple of jobs and I just wasn't sure what I was doing. 'I had the weirdest summer. I had this girlfriend that was into reptiles, we bought 40 chameleons. I was living in Errol Flynn's old bachelor pad, our house was like a terrarium. 'It was the most unhealthy time. I would wake up and have a bong load and four coca colas on ice, no food.' Even today, Brad says his private persona is a world away from the actor you see on screen, explaining: 'I'm not that guy that can be out and about in public with people. 'I have always enjoyed my solitude. Not loneliness, but the solitude. That can be with loved ones and friends and family and I really need it.' Recently, he has been criticised for his fashion choices, even when out on the arm of his American jewellery worker girlfriend, Ines. But Brad hits back: 'I don't think about perception much any more. 'I believe in what I'm doing, I understand my craft, I feel like I elevate the jobs I'm in and I put the work in. I work hard.' 8 Brad won a breakout role on Thelma & Louise in 1991 Credit: MGM

British man who 'married girl, 9, at Disneyland Paris' is convicted paedophile
A British man has been charged in connection with organising a 'mock wedding' of a nine-year-old girl in Disneyland Paris. The man, 39, who is reportedly a convicted sexual offender and wanted in the UK, played the groom in the fake ceremony held on Saturday. The unnamed man, as well as three others, was arrested after a guest playing the father of the groom phoned the police. The guest, one of 100 hired extras, claimed that he was paid €12,000 (£10,000) and only realised the age of the 'bride' at the last minute. French prosecutors charged the unnamed British man yesterday with several counts of fraud, abuse of trust, money laundering and identity theft. The girl, a Ukrainian national, arrived in France with her 41-year-old mother two days before the phoney wedding. Organisers placed a call-out for 200 adults and 100 children aged between five and 15 to take part in the event, French network BFMTV reports. The advert said the event was 'confidential', only specifying that it was a wedding. About 100 extras arrived at 5am to see the amusement park decked with white chairs, a wedding cake and a band. Organisers reportedly used fake documents to book the park outside of opening hours for €130,000 (£111,000). The ceremony was to be privately filmed, and organisers also allegedly hired 'Latvian nationals 'to ensure the smooth running of the event'. According to Le Parisien, the 'scared and confused' girl wore a wedding dress and 12cm high heels 'taped to her feet'. The 'groom' had been 'professionally made up' to make his face unrecognisable, prosecutors added. Disneyland staff shut down the event at 6am, with a witness telling BFMTV: 'I saw a child dressed in white, I saw curly hair and a woman lifting her in her arms. 'I was shocked, I burst into tears because I realised when I saw the child, it was atrocious.' The girl showed no signs of physical or sexual abuse. Four people were arrested, including the British 'groom', the girl's mother, a 24-year-old Latvian woman who played the sister of the bride and the 55-year-old Latvian man hired to play the 'father of the bride'. The British man and the Latvian woman appeared in front of a judge yesterday. As of today, only the man is being held by police. The woman remains a witness in the investigation. More Trending Meaux prosecutor Jean-Baptiste Bladier said the man was 'reportedly convicted in the past, including for offences of a sexual nature against minors'. Bladier added: 'He is, as such, listed in the British database of sexual offenders and is currently wanted nationally by the judicial authorities of his country of origin due to a breach of the requirements deriving from said order.'
