Love Island's Shea Mannings: His age, Instagram, job and more
The bombshells are officially bombshelling. Last night's Love Island [11 June] saw not one, but two new Islanders enter the Villa, ready to shake things up: introducing Shea Mannings and Remell Mullins. The pair entered the Villa towards the end of the episode and were given some alone time with the girls to quiz them on what was happening with their various connections. The boys then joined the group and they all played a number of cheeky dares. And while it's not 100 per cent clear who Shea is interested in yet, it's safe to say the whole of X [formerly known as Twitter] are either hoping he'll couple up with Alima, or they can keep him for themselves. So when you're over your thirsting for Shea (we understand it could take a while) then this is everything you need to know about the latest Islander. Shea is 25 years old. Shea is from Bristol. Shea's nine to five is working as a scaffolder. As mentioned on the show during 11th June's episode Shea also plays football semi-professionally. According to OK! it appears Shea's most recent team he played for were Swindon Supermarine FC, but he also played for these teams in teh past too: "Bristol Manor Farm, Roman Glass St George, Ashton & Backwell, Larkhall Athletic, Metropolitan Police, Paulton Rovers, and Melksham Town." Yes! Before heading into the Villa, Shea revealed he has a young son from a previous relationship, whom he will take into consideration when looking to date any of the women. "I have a little boy, so I'll be taking him into consideration with who I couple up with, too," he said. When it comes to coupling up Shea kept his cards very close to his chest during his first episode, however, ultimately he's said he's looking for a woman who is "bubbly and we need to have that initial spark. She needs to have a nice personality - like I think I have - so that we match together." He also mentioned as he's reached the age of 25 he's now looking to settle down and have a more serious relationship, "But I am ready again to look for something more serious. I'm 25 now, so I want to be settling down and have someone always by my side." Ok so despite only just stepping into the Love Island Villa, it appears this isn't Shea's first connection with the world of Love Island. Back in June 2022, Love Island's Ella Barnes liked a number of Shea's photos, however Ella hadn't yet at that time been on the show. She also liked one of photo carousels back in July 2023. And in 2021, last year's Uma Jammeh also liked one of Shea's pictures from when he was playing football. However, now neither of the women follower the Islander. If you want to see even more of Shea outside of Love Island then follow him on Instagram at the handle @ where he has just over 6,000 followers and regularly posts from his footie matches and from his holidays with his mates, which includes trips to Ibiza. And he's also on TikTok too. The Islander's handle is @shea_fit and he mainly posts football content and the odd working out advice video. Want even more Love Island gossip? The Knicks may have been quick to fire Tom Thibodeau — but you don't want to be too patient with a coach either
A 'new voice' was supposed to be the missing ingredient that was going to push the Islanders over the top when they fired Barry Trotz, who had led the long-dormant franchise to the brink of the Stanley Cup Final in both 2020 and 2021. It was not. The Yankees sought a 'fresh voice' who could improve 'connectivity and the communication level with the players' when moving on from Joe Girardi after the Yankees fell one win shy of reaching the World Series in 2017. Advertisement A deeper postseason run was not immediate…and the jury is still out on Aaron Boone's tenure.

Islanders' UBS Arena will hold tentpole NHL event in 2027 — but what kind?
The saga of the 2026 All-Star Game is now the saga of the 2027 All-Star Game. NHL commissioner Gary Bettman said at his availability prior to the Stanley Cup Finals on Wednesday that UBS Arena will host 'an event' in 2027, given that the 2026 version will be a watered-down Olympic kickoff, the details of which aren't yet clear. 'We've concluded that whatever we do for next season needs to take into account that the players are gonna be very focused on getting to Milan and playing in the Olympics,' Bettman told reporters in Edmonton. 'And we want to respect that. So there will be an event the following year at UBS and we're still trying to figure out what we can do that will do justice to the level of interest and authenticity that we and the players created in 4 Nations. So that's still a work in progress.' A number of key issues are still unclear, namely the specifics of the events in both 2026 and 2027. An NHL spokesman confirmed to The Post that the league still plans to hold an Olympic sendoff event at UBS this coming February and that the 2027 event will include 'on-ice hockey.' NHL commissioner says UBS Arena, the Islanders' home rink, will host a league event in 2027. Getty Images Beyond that, though, it's not yet known what either event will actually be. The NHL is a victim of its own success here. Whatever Long Island gets, if it's not as good as the 4 Nations Face-Off was this year, it will be considered a disappointment. And there's just no way that any kind of traditional All-Star Game will be as good as the no-holds-barred, Stanley Cup Final-level hockey that set the sports world alight in February. An outside shot of the Islanders' UBS Arena. Getty Images 'We set a pretty high bar for All-Star weekends in all sports,' Bettman said. 'I think there was an announcement today that one league [the NBA] is changing its format in response to the success we had.' The NHL, though, is only committed to international best-on-best hockey every other year, with the Olympics every four years and the World Cup of Hockey set to be held on a quadrennial basis starting in 2028. That left the Islanders in limbo, and in limbo they remain.
