Instead she opted for a new life in Devon, having told Ryan she was no longer in love with him.
In today's episode she said a goodbye to Ryan, insisting he was a catch, before being driven to the train station by Mary Goskirk.
The actress made her debut as Ryan Stocks' girlfriend Gail Loman in 2019 for a brief appearance before making a shock return in 2023 for a full-time comeback.
However despite landing a role as a barmaid in The Woolpack and having a secret child return to her in a big storyline, Gail hasn't become a permanent fixture in the village.
The Sun exclusively revealed how Rachael had agreed to leave the soap earlier this year.
A source said at the time: 'Rachael has loved her time on the show but it's time to go.
'Bosses felt the character wasn't inspiring much story and so it was all very amicable.
"The door has been left open but it's a definite goodbye for now.
'Rachael is looking forward to spreading her wings and showing off her talents on other shows.'
The actress opened up about her disappointment last year when she discovered she had been cut from a big budget Netflix production.
Emmerdale couple in shock split after explosive row - as star prepares to QUIT show after six years
She had filmed scenes for Greeek mythology epic KAOS with an all-star cast led by Hollywood A-lister Jeff Goldblum.
But she was devastated to discover she had been axed just days before the show was released worldwide.
KAOS was cancelled by Netflix shortly after its debut.

In the one minute clip Martine can be seen in a blue jumper and collared shirt with her hair tied up as she candidly chats to her followers from her car. She began: 'Hello everybody, I hope you are good, I've just pulled over, I did the school run this morning a bit windswept got the window down just having a hot flush. 'I was looking at my Instagram and I realised that I actually haven't talked to you guys on here, just having a chit chat for such a long time because I've had so much going on and yeah it's been so much change. 'I've still been managing to do my thing and get back to it, I did a show the other night that I am probably its number one fan. Martine sent Jack "all the love, luck and happiness for the next chapter of his life" and said she will be "rooting" for him alongside their son Rafferty. 6 6 6

How Bridgerton star Genevieve Chenneour's boxing background helped her fight off phone snatcher: Former Olympic swimmer defiantly insists 'he messed with the wrong girl' after attacker threatened to stab her
Bridgerton actress Genevieve Chenneour bravely fought off a phone snatcher on February 8 after he threatened to stab her in a 'life or death' brawl. The former Olympian, 27, bravely defended herself after Zacariah Boulares, 18, snuck up behind her and grabbed her phone in Joe & The Juice on Kensington High Street, west London. MailOnline exclusively revealed CCTV footage of the shocking attack this week on the rising star at the upmarket coffee shop. But if it wasn't for her boxing background, Genevieve may not have had the courage to fight off the attacker and get her phone back. Genevieve - who is a qualified Amateur Boxing Association (ABA) boxer and has an extensive sporting background - defiantly insisted on TikTok on Thursday the attacker 'messed with the wrong girl' as she shared a powerful post of her in the boxing ring. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. She is certainly not afraid to show off her strength as she often shares clips at boxing training. Before she became an actress, Genevieve was a professional athlete and represented Team GB at the Baku 2015 European Games, World Aquatics and 2014 LEN European Championships in the solo, duet, and team Artistic swimming events. Although the actress fought off the thief because of her boxing experience, she did advise the public not to do the same. She told Cat Deeley and Ben Shepherd on Thursday: 'I don't know if I would advise anybody else to do it. 'I think I have very quick reactions, thanks to having three brothers growing up and I'm an aviated carded boxer. I think it just was an instinct, I also do a lot of fight training for work and acting… 'I thought that was a normal reaction and I read all the comments [online] and realised, actually, a lot of people would just let them take the phone.' Genevieve revealed on This Morning the whole incident lasted around five minutes in total, with her pinning her attacker to the floor for much of that time. She explained: 'It kind of went round the corner and it turned into a full-on scrap with two people [Boulares and his accomplice]. 'And I was threatened with being stabbed so it became a real matter, in my mind, of life and death. 'So, I did things like, I remember kicking him back with my leg to create space in case he had a weapon on him… It was just a life-changing, crazy moment.' The star admitted the horrifying experience left her terrified in the immediate aftermath: 'I didn't want to go outside. 'I mean as a woman we already, I think, have our wits about us around strangers and random men. 'So, to have this happen to me while dealing with that base level that a lot of women have, just made me quite agoraphobic. Leaving the house was really hard.' It scared her to the extent that she has left her home in London, after years of living in the capital: 'I've actually taken a bit of a break from London… 'I've been here for seven years, working, auditioning, acting, just to kind of have a bit of a reset because it really did affect my confidence. 'Going out the first time [after the incident], I remember standing in a queue and just my hands were sweating and I was so vigilant and aware of my surroundings. Genievieve explained: 'I was threatened with being stabbed so it became a real matter, in my mind, of life and death' 'So yeah, just kind of trying to feel calmer.' Around 18 months before the attack on Genevieve, Boulares threatened to behead Aled Jones with a machete as he stole his £17,000 Rolex in Chiswick, west London. The thief, then 16, was locked up for his attack on the Welsh singer in October 2023. But he was released from youth detention early after serving just 14 months of his 24-month sentence. Boulares, who can now be named and pictured after turning 18, has gone on to commit a spate of crimes, including robbing Genevieve. The thug's extensive criminal history - 12 previous convictions relating to 28 offences - was laid bare after he pleaded guilty on May 29 to stealing her phone and assaulting another customer, Carlo Kurcishi. Genevieve said she had been in contact with Aled to discuss their shared experiences with Boulares. And she explained the attack on her happened in milliseconds: 'I had a bit of a sixth sense that something wasn't quite right, as woman you have that kind of intuition. 'And I could feel people moving around me in a different way but I only became aware of it once the incident had happened. 'I did feel they were going back and forth trying to find a target, so they chose me.' Genevieve has since spoken to other victims of phone theft, who have told her they felt the same anxiety as her after their experience. 'It opened up so many conversations with people that I know and don't know and I've been really made aware of how many people are living with that anxiety', she explained. 'Men that have had their phone stolen and women. I can only talk from a woman's perspective but I do know that men are dealing with that same level of anxiety.' With mobile phone theft in general on the rise, former Chief Superintendent Parm Sandu joined Genevieve on the sofa to advise people how to react if they find themselves victims of a similar crime. 'Genevieve was very brave and I commend her for that but I would not recommend anybody, anybody fights back. It just isn't worth it', she said. Parm continued: 'You don't know what these people are carrying. They could have a knife, they could have a syringe, they could have any other weapon that they can use on you. 'And if you are the person who's standing between them and their freedom, they are going to kick, punch, use anything that's around them to try and escape and evade that capture.' The former officer explained it is not just the physical handset at stake in a phone theft - but all your banking and identity data that might be stored on it too. She gave viewers some tips, first recommending a mobile phone case with a strap on: 'If you've got a strap around your wrist as well, it's harder for them to snatch it and run.' Every device, Parm explained, has an IMEI number, a unique serial number. She advised people to find out what their number is and make a record of it in case of a theft for easier tracking of the device by police. 'If your phone is taken, report it straightway to your service provider', she advised, as well as contacting your bank. 'And if you can get onto a laptop and you've got Find My Phone, you can deactivate your phone, you can erase your personal data straight away.' Reporting it to police is always advisable too, as it notifies them - and the public - the area is a hotspot for crime, leading them to allocate resources there: 'It will create a reaction from the local police.'

I'm a fashion expert, these 8 outfits will be everywhere at Wimbledon - with dresses starting from £22.99
Wimbledon is on the way, and whether you're planning to watch on TV, brave the famous queues or are lucky enough to have a ticket, it's an exciting time for tennis fans everywhere. For those attending in person, one big question (other than how many strawberries with cream you can possibly consume in one day) is what to wear. After all, while it's mainly about the tennis action on court, Wimbledon has always been a place to see and be seen, with celebrities from Sienna Miller to the Princess of Wales snapped on Centre Court in stunning outfits. The dress code for Wimbledon is generally smart casual - you don't want to go too over-the-top (this is not Royal Ascot) but at the same time, it's a nice opportunity to don a beautiful dress or some on-trend tailoring. Shoes-wise, think practical: if you're up on Murray Mound, you don't want to sink into the grass, and the day tends to involve quite a lot of walking around. With the other accessories, you can go to town - think bold jewellery, chic handbags and a useful sun hat (although nothing too large, as you'll be very unpopular if you block someone else's view of the tennis action). As for what to avoid - clothes with political slogans or big company logos are banned - although you probably weren't going to wear that anyway. Here's what we suggest instead... Dress, £99, Albaray; crossbody bag, £22.99, H&M sandals, £35, Freemans; hat, £32, & Other Stories and disc necklace, £34, Oliver Bonas Audrey midi dress, £129, AYM; earrings, £35, Orelia; sandals, £45, Marks & Spencer; clutch bag, £59.99, Mango and cuff bracelet, £25, Orelia Dress, £35.99, Mango; rhinestone bag, £89, Mint Velvet; ballerina pumps, £99, Dune and necklace, £89, Daisy Dress, £126, Boden; fan, £8.50, Oliver Bonas; strawberry earrings, £39, Mint Velvet; sandals, £89, Dune and straw bag, £119, Mint Velvet Tie front top, £79, Mint Velvet; wide trousers, £99, Mint Velvet; sandals, £155, Sezane; earrings, £35, John Lewis; jacket, £165, Mint Velvet and bag, £130, Mint Velvet Dress, £45, Marks & Spencer; kitten heel shoes, £49.50, Marks & Spencer; woven bag, £35, Marks & Spencer and earrings, £32, & Other Stories Dress, £22.99, H&M shoes, £26.99, New Look; earrings, £32, & Other Stories; bag, £195, Sezane and tennis bracelet, £25, Orelia
