Swap Launches The Nest, A Community Curated for Brands to Connect, Develop, and Grow
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Apr 29, 2025--
Swap, the e-commerce operating system (OS) that connects operations on one platform for e-commerce brands, today introduces The Nest, a space for brand leaders to connect, develop, and build towards the next opportunity for their company. The Nest is a sanctuary from the sales-driven partners and tired brand dinners, it's a community designed for genuine networking via online, and in-person, engaging events. Swap also announces Nicole Hartwig is joining the company as Head of Community to lead the development of The Nest.
As 40% of professionals are uncertain about how to leverage their networks effectively, The Nest is designed for brand professionals seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking community that evolves alongside the ever-changing landscape of e-commerce. Previously, brands lacked a space to connect organically without the pressure of profit-motivated interactions. Swap recognized this gap in the market, and is cultivating a community for brand leaders to connect freely. In an industry often dominated by transactional relationships, The Nest is redefining the status-quo, creating a fresh alternative for brand professionals to engage in authentic conversations, foster collaboration, and build a thriving peer network.
'As Swap continues to push boundaries and innovate in the retail sector, I'm thrilled to join the growing community we're building with The Nest,' said Nicole Hartwig, Head of Community at Swap. 'I started my career in retail, but I've never seen a space designed to be both a sanctuary and a spark—a space where brands can step away from the typical and step into what's possible. The Nest was born from a simple truth: community can supercharge everything. This is where brands will find their people—and their next big leap.'
While it can be difficult for brands to take the first step towards meaningful engagement with industry leaders, The Nest offers an accessible way to approach connection through several key verticals, including:
'Brand leaders today crave real connections, not just another sales pitch,' said Juan Pellerano-Rendon, Chief Marketing Officer at Swap. 'The Nest is about creating a space where brands can engage authentically, exchange ideas, and build meaningful relationships that drive their businesses forward. By fostering a community-driven approach, we're giving brands the support, insights, and opportunities they need to grow on their own terms.'
Open to individuals across marketing, operations, growth, and leadership roles, The Nest offers a space where members can exchange insights, collaborate on industry challenges, and discover new opportunities, all without the pressure of transactional networking. Whether emerging brands looking for guidance or established names aiming to refine their strategies, The Nest provides the connections and resources needed to thrive in today's competitive market.
This announcement follows Swap's recent $40M Series B funding, which is fueling the company's push to solidify its leadership in the U.K., accelerate expansion into the U.S. and EU, and break into new markets like Australia and Canada. The investment will also drive Swap's entry into underserved verticals such as beauty, home goods, and consumer technology. To learn more about Swap, visit https://www.swap-commerce.com/.

Cameco Reports Expected Increase in Its Share of Westinghouse 2025 Adjusted EBITDA
All amounts in Canadian dollars unless specified otherwise SASKATOON, Saskatchewan, June 06, 2025--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cameco (TSX: CCO; NYSE: CCJ) reports an expected increase of approximately $170 million (US) in our 49% equity share of Westinghouse Electric Company's (Westinghouse) 2025 second quarter and annual adjusted EBITDA. The expected increase is tied to Westinghouse's participation in the construction project for two nuclear reactors at the Dukovany power plant in the Czech Republic. This expected increase will be taken into consideration in determining the 2025 distribution payable by Westinghouse to Cameco. In addition to the increase in adjusted EBITDA in 2025, we expect significant financial benefits for Westinghouse, as a subcontractor, over the term of the Dukovany construction project and related to the provision of the fuel fabrication services required for both reactors for a specified period. The outlook for Westinghouse's compound annual growth rate for adjusted EBITDA remains 6% to 10% over the next five years, excluding the impact of the expected $170 million (US) increase in its 2025 adjusted EBITDA. Cameco owns a 49% interest in Westinghouse and its partner, Brookfield Renewable Partners, owns the remaining 51%. Caution about forward-looking informationThis news release includes statements and information about our expectations for the future, which we refer to as forward-looking information. Forward-looking information is based on our current views, which can change significantly, and actual results and events may be significantly different from what we currently expect. Examples of forward-looking information in this news release include our expectations regarding: Westinghouse's participation in the Dukovany power plant construction project; an increase in Westinghouse's adjusted EBITDA; Westinghouse taking this increase into consideration in determining the 2025 distribution payable to Cameco; the financial benefits for Westinghouse, as subcontractor, over the term of the Dukovany construction project and the expected future growth in Westinghouse's compound annual growth rate for adjusted EBITDA. Material risks that could lead to different results include the risk that Westinghouse is not able to participate in the Dukovany construction project on a basis that achieves the currently expected benefits to Westinghouse for any reason, or that Cameco may not derive the expected increases in its share of Westinghouse's adjusted EBITDA, or that Westinghouse does not achieve the expected future annual growth in adjusted EBITDA. In presenting the forward-looking information, we have made material assumptions which may prove incorrect about Westinghouse's participation in the Dukovany construction project and related potential benefits to Westinghouse, and continuing growth in Westinghouse's compound annual growth rate for adjusted EBITDA. Non-IFRS MeasuresAdjusted EBITDA is a measure that does not have a standardized meaning or a consistent basis of calculation under International Financial Reporting Standards (a non-IFRS measure). Westinghouse's adjusted EBITDA is defined as its net income, adjusted for the impact of certain expenses, costs, charges or benefits incurred in such period which are either not indicative of underlying business performance or that impact the ability to assess the operating performance of its business. For more information regarding our use of this non-IFRS measure see our most recent annual and quarterly Management's Discussion and Analysis. ProfileCameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to power a secure energy future.
