THE UK's most dangerous female inmate tried to murder Rose West and chop a guard's finger off to escape jail.
Joanna Dennehy, 42, once described killing as "moreish and fun" and has become one of four women in the country to be sentenced to a whole life behind bars.

The brutal killer was convicted in 2014 after a spree of bone-chilling murders including that of 31-year-old lover Lukasz Slaboszewski, her housemate John Chapman and her landlord Kevin Lee.
A judge called her "cruel, calculating, selfish, and manipulative" after a court heard of her murderous antics, which involved mutilating a corpse and squeezing the body into a sequined black dress.
She has since been described as one of the most dangerous inmates and has been accused of attempting to kill fellow prisoner and murderer Rose West.
It is also understood she drew up an escape plan which involved murdering a guard and using their severed finger to unlock the biometric doors.
Professor David Wilson, a criminologist and former prison governor, told how part of her threat was in her ability to manipulate with sex.
He told the Mail Online: "She will be using this to get what she wants.
"Even when she was being interviewed in a police station in Hereford for attempting to kill two men out walking her dogs, she started to flirt with the female custody sergeant."
According to the criminologist, targeting the 71-year-old mass murderer Rose West was an attempt to be "top dog" in prison.
West was convicted of 10 murders in 1995 and has also been sentenced to life imprisonment.
The murder threat allegedly spurred Dennehy's move to solitary confinement but it wasn't long before the villain was reported having an affair with a prison guard.
I've looked dozens of serial killers in the eye… but psychotic Brit terrified me most
She was moved to HMP Low Newton where she continued her devilish streak, striking up a relationship with the murderer Emma Aitken.
Prof Wilson explained this string of illicit relationships is all part of the killer's vying for control.
It's part of her "conning" to use sex as a tool of manipulation, he said.
According to the former prison governor, Dennehy will always remain a threat whilst compos mentis because of her "unusual" killer profile.
He said: "Dennehy is one of the very few female spree killers in criminological history. Spree murders tend to be a male phenomenon."
He added: "I don't know what can be done with her in terms of changing her behaviour because she seems to have extreme violent tendencies.
"That is based on having interviewed people who were very close to her - including her former husband."

Several people arrested in Bali on drugs charges that could carry death penalty

©Press Association Several foreign nationals – including an Australian, an Indian and an American – have been arrested on the tourist island of Bali on suspicion of possessing drugs, charges that could carry the death penalty. The move comes after three British nationals accused of smuggling nearly a kilogram of cocaine into Indonesia were charged on Tuesday in a court on Bali. Customs officers at Bali's Ngurah Rai International Airport arrested an Indian national with the initials HV, who was carrying a duffel bag, in the customs and excise inspection area on May 29. The officers found narcotic-related items in his belongings, authorities said. Following up on the interrogation of HV, later that day officers from the National Narcotics Agency of Bali Province arrested an Australian man with the initials PR, who has been visiting Bali since 1988. PR asked HV to bring the duffel bag from Los Angeles to Bali, said I Made Sinar Subawa, an official from the narcotics agency, at a news conference. During a search at a house where he stayed, officers found drugs in the form of hashish, a cannabis concentrate product, that belonged to PR and had been purchased over the Telegram messaging app. The hashish was shipped from Los Angeles and Philippines before finally being received in Bali, Mr Subawa said. Officers seized 191 grams of hashish along with some candies consisting of tetrahydrocannabinol, and 488 grams of marijuana. Both PR and HV are now suspected of dealing in narcotics, based on the evidence that was found with them, Mr Subawa said. 'PR is suspected of violating Indonesia's Narcotics Law which carries the death penalty, life imprisonment, or imprisonment for a minimum of four years and a maximum of 12 years,' said Mr Subawa. Along with HV and PR, the agency also arrested WM, an American, on May 23 while he was collecting a package from a post office in Bali. An officer opened the package carried by WM and found seven pieces of silver packaging containing a total of 99 orange amphetamine pills and secured one white Apple iPhone. The agency, at a news conference in the city of Denpasar on Thursday, presented the evidence, including marijuana and hashish, seized from the suspects. All suspects will undergo legal proceedings in Indonesia, including trial and sentencing. The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime says Indonesia is a major drug-smuggling hub despite having some of the strictest drug laws in the world, in part because international drug syndicates target its young population. The south-east Asian country has extremely strict drug laws, and convicted smugglers can face severe penalties, including the possibility of execution by firing squad. About 530 people, including 96 foreigners, are on death row in Indonesia, mostly for drug-related crimes, latest figures from the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections show. Indonesia's last executions, of an Indonesian and three foreigners, were carried out in July 2016.

Knox then sent a picture of herself using a sex toy to the teen, Kent Online reports. She is now facing prison after pleading guilty to engaging in sexual communication with a child. The teaching assistant also admitted two counts of causing a child to watch an image of sexual activity and inciting a child to engage in sexual activity. Sevenoaks Magistrates' Court heard she carried out the vile offences between March 24 and April 5 last year. She first started messaging the boy in February that year but the texts were not "sexual". Rajni Prashar, prosecuting, said: "She then sent a message asking him to come to her house, and she sent a picture of a bottle of alcohol and said there was a party. 'She also sent a message saying he was a good lad and she had her legs on show, but she then sent a topless photo and a video of her in the shower and she asked him to send a picture of his penis.' Knox was bailed on the condition she signs on to the sex offenders' register. The mum, from Kent, will be sentenced at Woolwich Crown Court on a date to be set. Knox previously found herself in court after she chased and attacked a woman she had followed in her car. JPs heard the victim was left with cuts to her left ear and lip, as well as severe bruising to her face. Knox was handed a suspended 24 week sentence after admitting actual bodily harm. 4 Knox began messaging the boy in February last year Credit: Instagram 4 She sent him naked photos and a video in the shower Credit: Instagram

45p homemade solution gardeners swear by for killing ivy – it works in a couple of days & stops it growing back

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) IVY may look pretty but it can be impossible to remove from the exterior of your home. The invasive plant climbs up your walls and may eventually cause damage to your brickwork. In one swoop, you can kill off any ivy and prevent it from growing back. And all you need is two kitchen ingredients that won't break the bank. The DIY solution is recommended by Chris Bonnett from Gardening Express. 'A few strands of ivy can look great in a garden but if English ivy starts to grow over leaves and plants, it can cause significant damage," he explained. As well as damaging your brickwork, ivy can also prevent other plants from receiving essential nutrients from sunlight. To tackle this issue, the gardening expert advises homeowners to tackle the root of the problem, literally. Killing the roots is a crucial step, and while some people suggest using natural methods such as boiling water, this expert has a different method. He revealed that he swears by a homemade solution of apple cider vinegar and salt. "The salt dehydrates the ivy and disrupts its water balance, while the acidic content of the mixture helps kill it," he explained. Shoppers urged 'not to blink' and get their hands on Home Bargains garden essential that sold out fast last time and it makes your garden extra cute - TikTok homebargainsofficialuk This means when the foliage has died, you can remove the roots to stop it coming back However, he warned against spraying the mixture onto the plant. Instead, the pro recommended manually apply it in a careful manner. 'Put on some gardening gloves and rub the solvent onto the ivy as using a spray bottle could damage nearby plants," he said. For the best results, apply the solution on a dry day and check the forecast to make sure no rain is expected for the following days. This concoction should start working immediately, eliminating the remaining ivy within five days, according to the expert. And while the mixture should put an end to your ivy problem, it won't have any long-term effects on your soil. You can execute this method without breaking the bank. A 350ml bottle of Apple Cider Vinegar is available from Tesco for just £1.50. But since you will only need around 100ml to carry out this process, the cost breaks down to just 43p. And tack on an additional 2p for the five teaspoons of table salt you can take from the 750g bottle from Sainsbury's, available for just 69p.
