Katy Perry suffers near wardrobe malfunction after her bra pops off onstage in Vegas

Yahoo2 days ago

You know what they say about California Gurls.
Katy Perry came dangerously close to suffering a wardrobe malfunction when her bra broke during her Las Vegas show over the weekend.
The 'Fireworks' singer, 40, was running around on the stage on Saturday, May 17, in a bejeweled bra top, matching underwear and thigh-high boots while singing her hit 'Part of Me' when her mic pack appeared too heavy for the tiny strap.
Seemingly popping open, Perry abruptly halted on the stage during her 'Lifetimes' tour.
Thankfully, Perry was quick on her feet and grabbed the back of the rhinestone bra just in time to prevent an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction.
'Oh s–t, my bra is gonna come off,' Perry said into the microphone.
The musician then summoned her assistant to the stage and asked for help fixing the wardrobe issue.
'Put my bra back on, Patrick,' Perry quipped, per Us Weekly, before telling the audience, 'Sorry, guys, you didn't pay that much.'
'Wardrobe malfunction in Part of Me song by @Katy Perry in Las Vegas show
,' a fan who caught the near blunder captioned a TikTok video.
Fans loved the clip and left several comments praising the singer.
''Sorry guys you didn't pay that much,'' one person laughed. 'This is the funniest thing I've ever seen,' shared a second.
Perry started the US leg of her 'Lifetimes Tour' on May 7 after being launched into space as part of Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin space mission.
Her tour has been plagued with controversy, with haters accusing her of tailoring the outfits, choreography and several props as a homage to her highly-critiqued space voyage.
Perry faced further backlash this weekend when it was claimed that she's allegedly no longer wanted in Sin City after her three-year residency at Resorts World reportedly tanked, losing the hotel and casino money.
'The residency was a disaster for Resorts World, a complete failure,' a source told Paula Froelich of NewsNation.
'There was a bidding war between Resorts World and Caesars … and Caesars technically lost out — but in the end, Caesars won,' the insider explained, before revealing how much Perry allegedly made during her stay.
'Katy was getting paid between $750,000 and $900,000 a show because of the bidding war and the entire run she underperformed and Resorts World lost money,' the source claimed.
The Post reached out to Perry's rep for comment.
While the 'Last Friday Night' singer has yet to address the latest allegations, she did show gratitude to her die-hard fans after they launched a worldwide project to congratulate the hitmaker on her 'Lifetimes Tour' with a temporary billboard in Times Square, reading, 'Know that you are safe, seen and celebrated.'
'Please know I am ok, I have done a lot work around knowing who I am, what is real and what is important to me. My therapist said something years ago that has been a game changer, 'No one can make you believe something about yourself that you don't already believe about yourself,' and if I ever do have any feelings about it then it's an opportunity to investigate the feeling underneath it,' she said in part.
She also shared that 'when the 'online' world tries to make me a human piñata, I take it with grace and send them love, cause I know so many people are hurting in so many ways and the internet is very much so a dumping ground for unhinged and unhealed.'
'What's real is seeing your faces every night, singing in unison, reading your notes, feeling your warmth,' Perry concluded, referring to connecting with fans in ways other than at her shows.

A Dream Wedding for Jeff Bezos in Venice? No Way, Locals Say

If a bunch of irate Venetians have their way, the star-studded dream wedding that Jeff Bezos, the Amazon founder, and his fiancée, Lauren Sánchez, are planning in the ancient city at the end of June could be a nightmare. On Friday evening, representatives of various citizens groups gathered in a square near Rialto Bridge and vowed to organize a series of protests on June 26, 27 and 28, when hundreds of guests are expected to descend on the lagoon city for the lavish nuptials of Mr. Bezos and Ms. Sánchez, a journalist. Though details of the festivities have been wrapped in secrecy, 'we have our moles,' said Federica Toninello, a protest organizer, revealing that one of the venues could be the The Misericordia, a former charity turned events hall. 'Bezos will never get to the Misericordia,' she vowed, urging the roughly 300 people present to take a stand. 'We will line the streets with our bodies, block the canals with lifesavers, dinghies and our boats,' she said to loud applause. She spoke under a large banner that read: 'No Space [an image of a spaceship] For Bezos,' playing on his ownership of Blue Origin, the spaceflight venture. 'We have to block Bezos, we have to block this idea of this city' as a tourist haven that has driven up housing costs so that most ordinary Venetians can no longer afford to live here, she said. Representatives for Mr. Bezos and Ms. Sánchez did not respond to a request for comment. Their wedding coincides with peak season in Venice, as tens of thousands of visitors arrive in the city daily, prompting City Hall to impose a controversial entry fee on weekends and holidays. Protesters said they were also concerned that the logistics of the wedding, including security for some top-tier guests, will further disrupt the life of Venice's dwindling resident population. Orlando Bloom Was 'Frustrated' With Katy Perry's Space Trip As He Allegedly Didn't 'Approve' Of It Amid Tensions

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom were reportedly not on the same page regarding her recent all-female trip to space. This revelation comes amid reports suggesting the couple is going through a rough patch in their relationship. Sources now claim Orlando Bloom "did not approve" of the trip and was "frustrated" and "disappointed" by Katy Perry's decision to embark on it regardless. Several cracks seem to have formed in Perry and Bloom's romance amid reports that their relationship has ended. Following her 11-minute all-female space trip on Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin spacecraft, Perry gushed in a radio interview that her fiancé, Bloom, was "all about the journey." However, a source has now revealed that the "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor "did not approve" of it as he never thought "going on the mission was a good idea." Speaking to The U.S. Sun, the insider went further to explain that Bloom "knew she would get backlash" from the mission and was "frustrated" and "disappointed" with her decision to take part in it. "From day one, Orlando didn't think going on the Blue Origin mission was a good idea, and knew she would face backlash," the source said. "He always thought it was a stupid idea, and she wouldn't get anything positive out of it." The "Roar" hitmaker joined the all-female crew comprising Aisha Bowe, Lauren Sanchez, Kerianne Flynn, Gayle King, and Amanda Nguyen for the April 15 flight despite her fiancé's alleged reservations. While en route, she held up a daisy seemingly in a bid to honor her and Bloom's daughter, Daisy. Upon her return, she stopped to kiss the ground, but was ridiculed by many who thought the trip was "unnecessary" and her actions afterwards were "dramatic." Even celebrities, such as Emily Ratajkowski and Olivia Munn, didn't hold back with their criticisms of the all-female space trip. "That space mission this morning. That's end time sh-t. This is beyond parody," Ratajkowski fumed. "Saying that you care about Mother Earth and it's about Mother Earth and you're going up in a spaceship that is built and paid for by a company that's single-handedly destroying the planet?" "Look at the state of the world and think about how many resources went into putting these women into space. For what? What was the marketing there?" She added. It appears Bloom has reached his breaking point amid the underlying tensions in his relationship, with a source sharing that the actor needs space from Perry. The disagreements between them are said to have made the "Lord of the Rings" actor believe Perry "doesn't take him seriously." "He has been frustrated that his opinion is not being taken seriously or even heard," the source continued. "He feels she is a different person lately." According to the news outlet, the insider also confirmed rumors that the pair have hit a "rough patch" in their relationship and are now leading separate lives. The 48-year-old actor has repeatedly been spending time alone and arrived without Perry at the "Deep Cover" premiere during the 2025 Tribeca Festival on June 10 in New York City. The negative and harsh criticism Perry has been facing seemingly took a toll on her and their relationship, as a source told Page Six that "it's over" between them and they "are waiting till her tour is over before they split." The underwhelming reception of her recent album, "143," also didn't help matters, as the project was critically panned, which seemingly resulted in low ticket sales at some of her tour's venues. A source told People Magazine that the poor reception to her album negatively affected her and caused "some tension" in her relationship with Bloom. "Katy was deeply frustrated following the reception of her new album," a source told the news outlet. "It made her very stressed. Orlando was understanding, but it did cause some tension." "She was also disappointed in some of the tour reviews. It's put stress on their relationship," another source said. Perry is currently on her Lifetimes world tour, which began on April 23 and runs through December 7. Perry and Bloom's relationship has faced challenging times before, following their split in 2017. Addressing the breakup in a 2024 appearance on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast, the "Teenage Dreams" singer said both of them "weren't really in it from day one." "He was because he had just done a huge time of celibacy, and he had set intentions," Perry continued. "I was fresh out of a relationship, and I was like, I can't do this anymore. I need to swim in a different pond, but I had to do a lot of real work." In 2023, Bloom also addressed the challenges he and Perry faced in their relationship, insinuating that their different career paths could be a factor in the issues they have encountered. "We're in two very different pools [for their work]. Her pool is not a pool that I necessarily understand, and I think my pool is not a pool that she necessarily understands," Bloom told Flaunt. The "Lord Of The Rings" actor continued: "Sometimes things are really, really, really challenging. I won't lie. We definitely battle with our emotions and creativity." "I think we're both aware of how blessed we are to have uniquely connected in the way that we did at the time that we did. And there's definitely never a dull moment," he added.
