Charges upgraded for suspect in 2024 Lynchburg murder investigation
LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) – Lynchburg Police have released new and upgraded charges in the September 2024 shooting deaths of two Lynchburg Residents.
On Monday September 30, 2024, 33-year-old Nathaniel Pridemore was identified as the suspect in the death of 19-year-old Cash Gaudio after a shooting that occurred on Fairlea Court.
LPD identifies victim, makes arrest in connection to Fairlea Court homicide
Pridemore faces one upgraded charge of Aggravated Murder and one new charge of Shooting in Committing or Attempting a Felony, according to LPD.
Pridemore also faces the following charges in connection to shooting and killing his presumed partner, 36-year-old Christina Hamilton, a home on Turnbridge Road on the same day:
Aggravated Murder (Code of Virginia § 18.2-31)
Use or Display of Firearm in Committing Felony (Code of Virginia § 18.2-53.1)
Discharging Firearms or Missiles Within or at Building or Dwelling House (Code of Virginia § 18.2-279)
Shooting in Committing or Attempting a Felony (Code of Virginia § 18.2-53)
Investigations continue into three homicides in Lynchburg
Pridemore remains in custody without bond pending trial.

John Romero of the Lakewood Police Department (LPD) confirmed to PEOPLE that a body was found on Friday, June 6. He said, however, that the coroner has yet to share a positive identification. Jax was last seen leaving her apartment in Denver on Tuesday, April 15, her mom previously told PEOPLE. 'I am terrified for my daughter,' Gratton-Camis said at the time. 'My fear is that somebody killed her,' she continued, then alleging that her daughter had been in abusive relationships in the past. Champaign man hospitalized in Saturday night shooting
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — A 21-year-old Champaign man was hurt after a shooting on Saturday. Officers with the Champaign Police Department responded to the area of Giboney and Tower Streets around 10:40 p.m. after a report that shots had been fired nearby. Police were able to locate an area with evidence of gunfire in the 1400 block of Clock Street. 22-year-old Danville man dead after motorcycle crash Around the same time police were searching for evidence, a man who had been shot walked into an area hospital with wounds in the arm and torso. Police said the man received medical treatment and is hospitalized in stable condition. After investigating, police learned that the 21-year-old was driving through an alley near Clock Street when unknown subjects fired at his vehicle, hitting him in the process. Police were able to find one vehicle that was damaged in this incident. Champaign police remained in the area for several hours to collect evidence, and search for witnesses and video footage that could help the investigation. No arrests have been made as of Sunday afternoon, and the investigation is ongoing. Hit-and-run crash on MLK Blvd. leave man in critical condition. What police are saying
A 28-year-old man was in critical condition on Sunday, June 8, following an early morning hit-and-run crash on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard near Briarfield Drive in Lansing. Lansing police said a 24-year-old woman turned herself in on Sunday and was arrested. Specific charges will be determined after the case is reviewed by the Prosecutor's Office, LPD Sgt. Trevor Allman said. Police were dispatched to the area about 3:44 a.m. June 8 where they found the man in the road. The vehicle that struck him had already left the scene, Allman said. The incident was the second hit-and-run crash in a day in the Lansing area. A crash on Waverly Road near Tecumseh River Drive claimed the life of a male victim Saturday night, the Eaton County Sheriff's Office said.
