Madhya Pradesh League 2025: Star-Studded Commentary Panel Announced for the Second Season
Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh) [India], June 12, (ANI): The second edition of the Madhya Pradesh League (MPL) T20 is set to kick off in Gwalior from June 12 to June 24 at the Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Shankarpur, Gwalior, according to a release from MPL.
The excitement is set to go up a notch with the announcement of a star-studded commentary panel that will lead the tournament coverage across television and digital platforms.
Leading the panel is Padma Shri Sushil Doshi, the iconic Hindi commentator from Indore, whose voice has been synonymous with Indian cricket for decades.
Joining him is Amey Khurasia, former India international and a respected figure in Madhya Pradesh cricket circles. The panel also features Reema Malhotra, a former India women's team all-rounder and a regular voice in the sport.
Adding further depth to the panel is Suhaas Vedham, a prominent voice in sports broadcasting known for his witty & engaging style and knowledgeable commentary across formats.
Representing the host city, Naveen Shrivastava, Gwalior's own acclaimed commentator, adds a strong local connect to the broadcast team and brings his years of domestic cricket coverage to the fore.
The tournament will be streamed live on the FanCode app, while the live telecast will be available on Star Sports 1 and Star Sports Select.
The league will open with a highly anticipated clash between Gwalior Cheetahs and debutants Chambal Ghariyals on June 12.
Organised by the Gwalior Division Cricket Association (GDCA) under the aegis of the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA), MPL T20 2025 aims to deliver high-quality cricket, elevate local talent, and create a strong broadcast experience with the support of its experienced and celebrated commentary panel.

Yograj Singh rips into Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma for untimely retirements: 'Baton not passed but thrown to Shubman Gill'
The untimely retirements of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma drew flak as forrmer India cricketer Yograj Singh criticised the timing of their decision. The major retirements pushed India into a period of transition with limited preparation, as Shubman Gill — still looking to establish himself as a dependable red-ball player — was appointed the new Test captain. The Indian team will kickstart the next World Test Championship with the five-match Test series against England right after the retirements of Kohli, Rohit and R Ashwin. The England tour will be a significant challenge for Shubman and his team as they aim to navigate the transitional phase as smoothly as possible with some fresh faces like Sai Sudharsan, Abhimanyu Easwaran and comeback man Karun Nair in the squad. Yograj, father of veteran all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, questioned the retirements of the two batting stalwarts, insisting they still had five years of Test cricket left in them. "Virat and Rohit shouldn't have retired from Tests. I told Rohit to get up at 5 AM and run for 20 km to keep himself fit. Virat and Rohit can still play for another 5 years in Test cricket. A few days later Kohli also chose to bring his Test career to a close, putting an end to a remarkable 14-year era that spanned 123 matches. During his tenure, Kohli played a pivotal role in turning India into a dominant force in Test cricket. Across his 14-year Test career, Virat amassed 9,230 runs at an average of 46.85 — a tally that includes 30 hundreds and 31 fifties — and leaves him as India's fourth-leading scorer in the format.
