Jaipur:
Rajasthan Cricket Association
ad-hoc committee member
Dhananjai Singh Khimsar
, son of health minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar, has been elected unopposed as the president of
Jodhpur District Cricket Association
(JDCA) on Wednesday.
A meeting of the association was held at a hotel in Jodhpur and elections were held. Rajasthan Ranji Trophy player
Arisht Singhvi
was elected as the secretary of the association. Besides, five vice-presidents, including BJP (rural) president Tribhuvan Singh Bhati, and one treasurer Bhupendra Singh Bhati have also been elected.
After his election, Khimsar said that he would leave no stone unturned in taking Jodhpur's cricket forward. "I have been given the responsibility to take Jodhpur's cricket forward while living here, I assure you that I will leave no stone unturned in fulfilling it."
However, there is speculation around Khimsar's sudden election as president of JDCA while still serving as the president of Nagaur District Cricket Association (NDCA). However, most insiders agree that he now seems to be moving forward on the path to becoming the RCA president, using Jodhpur as his stepping stone.

Why Wayne Gretzky's son Trevor picked baseball over hockey despite growing up in the Great One's shadow

Trevor Gretzky, son of hockey legend Wayne Gretzky, chose baseball over hockey (Getty Images) Trevor Gretzky had every reason to lace up skates and follow his legendary father into the world of professional hockey. But instead, he charted his own path—choosing the baseball diamond over the ice rink and committing to San Diego State University to play college baseball under the guidance of MLB Hall of Famer Tony Gwynn. Why Trevor Gretzky turned his back on hockey and defied a dynasty Growing up in Southern California, Trevor didn't have the same access to ice rinks that his father Wayne Gretzky did as a young Canadian prodigy. While the hockey stick was ever-present in his room, there simply wasn't enough ice to match the passion. 'He's grown up in the Southwest, and he's never really had a desire to skate,' Wayne explained in an 2008 ESPN interview. 'If you can't skate, you can't play in the NHL. It's pretty simple.' Trevor echoed that sentiment: 'I played growing up — I was a goalie. But there is nowhere to play out here.' Though he once played hockey and even briefly pursued football as a linebacker at Oaks Christian High School in California, it was baseball that ultimately captured Trevor's focus. His decision wasn't just about logistics; it was about stepping out of his father's shadow and building something of his own. With his towering 6-foot-5 frame and dedication to hard work, Wayne believed his son had all the right tools: 'The good news for him is that he does work hard, he's very humble, he's 6-foot-5 — he has all the attributes.' by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Memperdagangkan CFD Emas dengan salah satu spread terendah? His older brother Ty had a brief stint at Shattuck-St. Mary's, a renowned hockey prep school, but stepped away after realizing he wouldn't go far in the sport. 'He didn't play a lot. He realized he was not going to be a player,' Wayne admitted. 'But it was all good. He lived away from home and he loved the year.' And perhaps, a smart one. After all, it's easier to write your own story when you're not playing on a page your father already filled with greatness.

New Steelers star Aaron Rodgers goes big with $30 million mansion (Getty Images0 A fter months of speculation, the wait is finally over. NFL legend Aaron Rodgers has officially joined the Pittsburgh Steelers as their starting quarterback for the 2025 season. The team confirmed the signing late last week, marking a new chapter in Rodgers' illustrious career. Rodgers, who will turn 42 in December, arrived at the Steelers' facility on Saturday where he passed his physical and inked his one-year contract. As per NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the deal is worth $10 million guaranteed with a base salary of $13.65 million. Performance incentives could elevate the total value to an impressive $19.5 million. The contract may be short-term, but Rodgers is already making it clear that he's not treating this as just another stop on his journey. Inside Aaron Rodgers' outrageous new $30 million Pittsburgh mansion Although Rodgers' stint with the New York Jets ended after the 2024 season, Rodgers was still under the final year of a three-year, $112.5 million contract before the team decided to move on. Financially speaking, Rodgers had little left to prove. Having already racked up over $381 million in career earnings—making him the highest-paid player in NFL history, according to Over the Cap—this latest move to Pittsburgh wasn't about chasing another payday. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 月 **,***원대 '실비보험' 최적가 가입추천! According to Barstool Sports, the quarterback has purchased a jaw-dropping $30 million mansion near Acrisure Stadium. Despite signing for just one year, Rodgers is going all-in on his new surroundings. The mansion is anything but ordinary. Barstool Yinzers revealed that it comes with a par-3 golf course, a massive swimming pool, a pool house, and a full-service horse stable. Rodgers, a known golf enthusiast, will clearly have plenty to enjoy during the offseason. And with rumors swirling that his girlfriend, Brittani, is a horse lover, the equestrian addition adds another personal touch to the setup. The estate also boasts a six-car garage with heated flooring and state-of-the-art security systems—fitting for a player of Rodgers' stature. Rodgers' arrival in Pittsburgh marks not just a potential turning point for the Steelers' offense, but also a statement that the veteran QB is here for more than just a paycheck. He's here to win, live well, and perhaps write one final glorious chapter in his NFL journey. Hockey Canada sexual assault trial update: What's happened so far inside the Ontario courtroom

The Hockey Canada sexual assault trial, involving five former members of the 2018 World Junior team, nears its conclusion (Image credit: The Canadian Press) As the high-profile Hockey Canada sexual assault trial approaches its final arguments, the case has gripped public attention with unsettling allegations, conflicting witness testimonies, and unexpected courtroom disruptions. Five former members of Canada's 2018 World Junior hockey team—Michael McLeod, Carter Hart, Alex Formenton, Dillon Dube, and Cal Foote—stand accused, with McLeod facing an additional charge of party to the offense. All five men have pleaded not guilty. Early mistrials, jury dismissals, and a trial by judge alone Originally launched in April at Ontario Superior Court in London, the trial has faced multiple setbacks. Within three days of proceedings, Justice Maria Carroccia declared a mistrial. Later, a new jury was dismissed after a juror accused defense lawyers of inappropriate conduct. In response, Alex Formenton's lawyers said, 'No defense counsel would risk alienating a juror, and nothing could be further from the truth in this instance.' With both juries disbanded, the trial now proceeds under Carroccia's judgment alone. Complainant's emotional testimony lays out harrowing allegations Known only as E.M. due to a publication ban, the complainant delivered deeply emotional and graphic testimony. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 5 Books Warren Buffett Wants You to Read In 2025 Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo She recalled being highly intoxicated on the night in question, describing a sense of helplessness: 'I shut down and let my body do what it needed to do to be safe,' she told the court. She alleged that after consensual sex with McLeod, other players entered the hotel room and coerced her into sexual acts, including disturbing references to a golf club. E.M. also testified that Formenton had sex with her without consent in a bathroom and that Foote performed a lewd act over her face. While defense lawyers questioned the accuracy and consistency of her memory, E.M. insisted: 'It was not my choice to have what happened to me.' Only Carter Hart testified among the accused, stating, 'She seemed to be enjoying it… she was laughing.' Other former teammates, like Tyler Steenbergen and Brett Howden, echoed claims that E.M. was a willing participant, though Howden's 'gaps in memory' drew scrutiny from the Crown.
