Saints' Welsby and Murphy sidelined in injury blow
St Helens have been hit by a double injury blow with full-back Jack Welsby and winger Lewis Murphy set for lengthy spells on the sidelines.Welsby has undergone surgery on a knee issue after being forced off the field in last Friday's defeat by Hull KR at Craven Park and is expected to miss up to 16 weeks of the campaign.Winger Murphy suffered a quad injury in the same match and is set for an eight week spell on the sidelines.The news is a blow to head coach Paul Wellens with Saints poised in sixth in the final play-off spot as the halfway stage of the season approaches."Obviously it is disappointing news for Jack and Lewis, and the club will, as we always do, give them our full support in their injury recovery," Wellens told the club website, external."I am certain Jack and Lewis will give their all in their rehab to get back on the field and contribute once again to our team when they return."Welsby, 24, will be a big miss for Saints if, as expected, he is on the sidelines until September given he has six tries, 14 assists and is leading the Super League statistics for carries.Murphy, 23, was also hitting a decent vein of form having scored a try in each of his last Super League appearances, including against league leaders Hull KR last Friday.

Historic Arnos Vale Cemetery damaged by vandals
Members of the public are being asked to "remain vigilant" and report suspicious activity after a historic graveyard was destroyed by vandals. Arnos Vale Cemetery Trust in Bristol said a total of seven graves were damaged, with Victorian marble headstones toppled over and stonework smashed. The boiler room and crypt of the Anglican Chapel, a Grade II*-listed building, were also broken into and sustained significant damage in the trust said it may have to consider adding more security measures to the site including overnight staff and additional CCTV. The graves in Arnos Vale Cemetery date back to 1839, with the first burial recorded in July of that cemetery was designed to provide a more spacious and sanitary burial ground, compared to the overcrowded parish graveyards of the a statement, the trust said: "This vandalism has understandably caused concern to everyone that cherishes Arnos Vale Cemetery as a place of remembrance, reflection, and heritage."Acts of vandalism place additional pressure on limited resources, and divert funds away from day-to-day maintenance and conservation work across the cemetery and its listed buildings."As a registered charity, the team relies on public support and donations to care for the historic site. The cemetery remains open 24 hours a day, serving as a vital pedestrian route and green space for local people. The charity said it remains "committed to maintaining this open access", but repeated incidents may lead to the trustees "reviewing these arrangements".CEO Ann Fiddler said: "We are grateful for the continued support and ask everyone to remain vigilant and report any signs of new damage to the graves or the site."Together we can ensure the protection and conservation of this unique place for generations to come."Your eyes and support can make a real difference in protecting this special place."

ULRIKA Jonsson has marked one year since going sober after making an emotional confession about quitting booze. One was captioned "sober" while the other was marked "drunk". Ulrika continued: "Today I'm marking 1yr of sobriety. "No fanfare, no medal, no trophy. The journey goes on. "A huge thanks to all those beautiful people who have supported me; understood me; scooped me up and handled me tenderly and without judgement. "Who nudged me in the right direction; who made me laugh and helped me shed the crippling shame." Ulrika added: "My sobriety will continue to be my priority. "Turns out it IS possible to teach old dogs new trick." Last year Ulrika confessed she made the decision to quit booze after a frank conversation with a friend. She said: "One Saturday morning my best friend, who I love and cherish, called me and basically told me we had spoken the night before and she hadn't understood a word I had said. "She told me I needed help. I knew it came from a place of love. 'The sense of shame would have been enough to make me want a drink. But not on that occasion. 'Instead, I sobbed like a child who desperately needed someone to hold her. I was full of despair."
