SEC Tournament - Texas vs. Vanderbilt Prediction: Odds, Expert Picks, Betting Trends, and Stats

NBC Sports12-03-2025

The second game of the day in the SEC Tournament features the Texas Longhorns (17-14, 6-12) and the Vanderbilt Commodores (20-11, 8-10).
Some have Texas on the fringe of the NCAA Tournament conversation. Frankly, that is difficult to believe especially considering how the Longhorns closed the season. Texas lost two of their last three including the season finale at home to Oklahoma, 76-72. Texas needs to make a deep run in the SEC Tournament in order for those conversations to include NCAA Tournament committee members.
Vanderbilt appears to be in the Field of 68. They, however, are not entering today's game playing their best having lost their last two to SEC also-rans Georgia and Arkansas. Thus, it would behoove them to take care of business today against Texas and remove doubt from the committee as to their intentions with the Commodores.
Lets dive into the matchup and offer some information and possibly a sweat or two.

Wings' move to downtown Dallas postponed at least a year by construction delays

DALLAS — The Dallas Wings' move to a renovated downtown arena has been postponed at least a year because of construction delays while a new practice facility is expected to be completed on time. Club CEO and managing partner Greg Bibb told The Dallas Morning News on Wednesday the Wings will play at least one more season at the University of Texas at Arlington, about 20 miles from downtown Dallas. The WNBA team has played in Arlington since moving from Tulsa, Oklahoma, for the 2016 season. The Dallas City Council gave final approval Wednesday to the $55 million practice facility set to be built a few miles west of downtown. Bibb said the Wings plan to use that facility while still playing home games in Arlington. The arena under renovation, which will be called the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas Memorial Arena, is the former home of the Dallas Chaparrals of the American Basketball Association. That franchise became the NBA's San Antonio Spurs in 1973. The city approved $7.7 million for renovations last year as part of a 15-year use agreement, which included a provision that the practice facility had to be completed by 2026. ___ AP WNBA:

Oklahoma Sooners kickoff times announced for 2025 season

Oklahoma Sooners kickoff times announced for 2025 season Kickoff times for the Oklahoma Sooners 2025 season were released on Wednesday. Six of the team's regular-season games have exact times; another two are labeled as early games, and four remain in flex with an opportunity to be in primetime windows. Early kickoff times are scheduled for either 11 a.m. or noon CT. The flex games are open to network discretion and will kick at either in the 2:30/3 p.m. window or the primetime window between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. CT. Two of Oklahoma's biggest games on the schedule, against Michigan and Texas, are locked in. The Sooners host Michigan in Norman during Week 2, September 6, at 6:30 p.m. The annual Red River Rivalry game Week 8, October 11, against Texas, will take place during the prime SEC mid-afternoon time slot at 2:30 p.m. Other specific kickoff games have been scheduled for the opener at home against Illinois State at 5 p.m., on the road against Temple in Week 3 at 11 a.m., and at home against Kent State during Week 5 at 3 p.m. Oklahoma's two early games are at South Carolina on October 18 and at home against Ole Miss on October 25.
