After Pixel 9, Google Pixel 10 tipped to skip vapour chamber cooling once again
Google is all set to announce the upcoming flagship -- the Google Pixel 10 -- most likely in August. While the details of the forthcoming series are still under wraps, the rumour has it that it will follow the predecessor, bringing four models to the shelves. These models include the Google Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. But this is not the only part where the next-gen Google flagship follows its predecessor, the Pixel 9. According to the latest leak, the base model of the Pixel 10 will skip the vapour cooling chambers once again.advertisementGoogle Pixel 10 and its omissionsGoogle's vanilla Pixel 10 is turning out to be a mix of good and bad. Fresh reports suggest that the standard model may once again forgo several notable hardware features. According to Android Headlines, the base Pixel 10 is unlikely to include a vapour chamber for cooling, a component that helps regulate heat and maintain performance under heavy use. The absence of such a system was already criticised in the Pixel 9, and its omission from the Pixel 10 may prove frustrating for users seeking improved thermal management.Adding to the surprises, it appears the Pixel 10 may also lack Wi-Fi 7 support, despite the fact that last year's Pixel 9 included compatibility with the next-generation wireless standard. If accurate, this move would represent a step backwards in terms of future-proof connectivity for the device.advertisement
Camera enthusiasts, too, might have reason for disappointment. Earlier leaks had hinted at significant enhancements to video stabilisation across the Pixel 10 line-up. However, it now seems that this 'ultra-stable' video recording technology will not make its way to the vanilla model. Similarly, a new 'Ultra Res Zoom' feature, believed to deliver greater zoom capability than the current Super Res Zoom (which tops out at 8x), is reportedly set to skip the base version as well.On the design front, the Pixel 10 is expected to feature matte-finish sides paired with a glossy rear panel. As anticipation builds ahead of the official launch, it seems the standard Pixel 10 may be positioned as a more stripped-down alternative to its Pro sibling.Google Pixel 10 launch and what to expectMultiple leaks suggest that Google's Pixel 10 series will make its debut at the Made by Google event, which is rumoured to take place on August 20, 2025. Pricing for the standard Pixel 10 is expected to begin at around Rs 79,999, while the Pixel 10 Pro could carry a price tag of approximately Rs 1,09,999. These figures would firmly position the new devices within the premium flagship bracket, ensuring they remain strong contenders against rivals such as Samsung and Apple. - Ends
