Ireland facing 'two incredibly tough games'
Ireland full-back Jamie Osborne says the team faces big challenges in their final two Six Nations games against France and Italy.Osborne scored Ireland's second try on Saturday as they defeated Wales 27-18 to secure a 14th Triple Crown.That victory made it three wins from three matches for the leaders as they chase a third successive Six Nations and possible Grand Slam.France, who hammered Italy on Sunday, are up next in Dublin on 8 March before Ireland finish away against the Italians a week later."They're going to be two incredibly tough games," said the Leinster back. He added: "We'll take a week's break and concentrate on France, but it will be incredibly tough. We're not going to focus on that [breaking records], we'll focus on the France game first."Ireland's Garry Ringrose was shown a 20-minute red card in the first half in Cardiff and visitors fought back from 18-10 down to earn victory. "It shows how much belief we have as a team. We made a few errors in the first half and let Wales back into the game," added Osborne."We were down at the break, but there was no real panic in the dressing room, everyone just thought to go back to basics, clean up accuracy and errors and we did that thankfully. "Most of the team are very experienced and there have been a number of games where they have had to overcome a bit of adversity, and it shows we have what it takes to overcome those kinds of things."

Too early to tell if I will remain Scotland boss
Gregor Townsend says it is too early to say if he will remain as Scotland head coach beyond the end of his current contract, which expires next the immediate aftermath of the Six Nations, in which Scotland finished fourth, Townsend said he had no plans to step down and that the job – which he has held since 2017 – "gives me a big purpose in my life".Townsend says no discussions have taken place with Scottish Rugby over any new deal."If you get more into the year, those discussions would have to happen, whether they're initiated by my bosses or by myself," Townsend told the BBC's Scotland Rugby Podcast."I think there's obviously a lot of discussions around the Six Nations, the reviews of that, where we believe we need to improve, but also the longer-term future, what are the challenges coming up for Scotland and that ties in with the pathway and the longer-term strategy."But I feel there's a lot to be optimistic about with the current group we have, the players that are coming through and the experiences the players had this year."Yes, we're disappointed we didn't win more games, but I know the performances that the players are delivering are putting us in positions to beat the best teams in the world and that's a good foundation to have. "The next step is making sure we win those games we put that effort into winning."Townsend also expects to retain the services of his assistant, Steve Tandy, who has been linked with the vacant Wales job."He's a brilliant coach, he's very connected with our players, he's excited about this summer tour," he added."He's buzzing about working with the players again and there's nothing but speculation about him and other people that have been linked to the job outside of Scotland."We're very lucky to have Steve, we know that, and the players love working with him."

'We must play the same way against everyone' Having endured a difficult start to his reign - which included a resounding 5-0 Nations League loss to England at Wembley - Hallgrimsson has overseen steady progress in 2025. Two wins against Bulgaria in the Nations League play-off and a credible friendly draw against Senegal helped lift their spirits going into Tuesday's game. But while the goalless draw against Luxembourg stretches their unbeaten run to four games, Hallgrimsson called for improvement before September's qualifiers against Hungary and Armenia. "We changed in the second half, more tempo and won more duals but not good enough," he added."We go in September and play the higher ranked team first and then the lower ranked team away so this is something we can learn from, we must play the same way against everyone, whether an end of season friendly or a group stage game."This game will just teach us a lesson; it is understandable that players will think we have a break after a long time and our players have played a lot of matches."
