Jihad says aggression on southern suburb of Beirut blatant assault with blatant American cover
Gaza – Saba: The Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine has condemned the Israeli aggression on the southern suburb of Beirut on the eve of Eid al-Adha. In a press statement, Jihad said "The treacherous Zionist aggression that targeted residential areas in the southern suburbs of Beirut and areas in southern Lebanon, resulting in widespread destruction, terrorizing innocent civilians, and forcing thousands of families to flee their homes on the eve of Eid al-Adha, constitutes a violation of the ceasefire, which the enemy has never observed, with blatant American cover and complicity." It considered this attack "a blatant provocation and confirmation of premeditated aggressive intentions aimed at dragging Lebanon into a dangerous escalation through which the enemy seeks to expand and consolidate its occupation." The movement said, "While we pray to God to protect Lebanon and its people from all harm, we affirm the depth of the fraternal relations that unite the Lebanese and Palestinian peoples in the face of these attacks."
