Dakota Relays completes first day of action Friday
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The first day of action is complete for the 100th annual Dakota Relays at Howard Wood Field in Sioux Falls.
Many athletes turned heads at the event.
That includes Sioux Falls Christian's Paul Hoekman who threw 64'7″ with the shot put.
Rapid City Stevens' Ava Holzwarth jumped 17 feet, 7.25 inches to claim first place in the long jump.

Brady, Ole Miss eliminated in Women's College World Series
OKLAHOMA CITY (KELO) — Sioux Falls native Lexie Brady and Ole Miss saw their season come to an end at the Women's College World Series with a 6-5 10-inning loss to Oregon in an elimination game Friday night. The Rebels entered the seventh down 5-2, and Brady started the scoring with an RBI fielder's choice as Ole Miss rallied to score three runs to force extras.
