Third teenager dies after Shropshire crash
A third teenager has died following a car crash in Shropshire.
A silver Audi A1 crashed just after 11pm on Friday on Offoxey Road in Tong, near Shrifnal. West Mercia Police have confirmed that 17-year-old Jenson Bridges from Brewood in Staffordshire, died as a result of his injuries on Sunday.
A further two teenagers also died last week following the crash.
Despite the best efforts of emergency services 18-year-old Simon Evans from Perton in Wolverhampton, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Jacob Holeman, 17, from Codsall in Staffordshire died in hospital later on Saturday.
Another teenager also aged 17, sustained life-changing injuries but is in a stable condition.
Inspector Steph Arrowsmith, from the Serious Collision Investigation Team, said: 'Sadly, three teenagers have died, and one remains in hospital with life-changing injuries in this tragic incident and our thoughts are with all of those who have been affected.
'We continue to carry out enquiries into the collision and I would like to thank everybody who has contacted us so far with information to assist with our investigation.
'We are still appealing to anyone else who may have been on Offoxey Road on Friday night to get in contact. We are also keen to hear from anyone who may have been travelling through Bishops Wood and Brewood around 11pm, as we believe the Audi travelled along Port Lane and Kiddemore Green Road ahead of the incident.
'We believe the Audi was travelling together with a red Vauxhall Corsa and a black VW Golf. The vehicles were not involved in the collision in any way, but we're hoping motorists in the area may remember seeing the three vehicles together.'

Relatives of Abdullah said last week that he had recently arrived in the UK from Yemen 'for a better future' and was devoted to his family. He arrived in the UK two or three months ago, and was enjoying learning English ahead of starting at college in September. Abdullah's relative Saleh Alsirkal said: 'His dad brought him over to change his life, to get a better future for his son, but this has happened and destroyed everything.' Two people, a man aged 46 and a 45-year-old woman, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, have both been bailed pending further inquiries, police said.

Pair charged with murdering teenager in Sheffield hit-and-run "highly likely" to deny it, judge says
Two men who are charged with murdering a 16-year-old pedestrian in a hit-and-run in Sheffield were "highly likely" to deny the charge, a judge has said. Abdullah Yaser Abduallah Al Yazidi died after being struck by an Audi car when walking along Staniforth Road in the Darnall area of Sheffield on Wednesday 4 June. Zulkernain Ahmed, 20, and Armaan Ahmed, 26, did not enter any pleas when they briefly appeared at Sheffield Crown Court on Tuesday 10 June. Judge Jeremy Ricahrdson KC said he had been told both men were "highly likely to plead not guilty" to the murder charge. The pair, both of Locke Drive, Darnall, were remanded into custody and a further hearing has been set for 3 October. Police said officers understood that the car had driven towards three electric bikes during the incident, crashing into one rider. The 18-year-old man suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries. Relatives of Abdullah, better known as Abdul, said he had been in the UK for a few months after arriving from Yemen "for a better future". His relative Saleh Alsirkal said: "His dad brought him over to change his life, to get a better future for his son, but this has happened and destroyed everything." Mr Alsirkal said Adbullah was a "kind boy" who was enjoying learning English ahead of starting at college in September. He added that the teenager just wanted to look after his family, including his three sisters. A 46-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. They have been released on bail whilst enquiries continue.
