Phoenix Suns G League team opens playoffs against Santa Cruz Warriors on ESPNU

The Phoenix Suns' G League team, Valley Suns, opens the G League playoffs on April 1, 2025, at the Santa Cruz Warriors on ESPNU.
In their inaugural season, the Valley Suns (20-14) are a fifth seed in the West, while the Warriors (20-14) are a fourth seed. Santa Cruz is Golden State's G League team.

The winner will play at the No. 1 seed Stockton Kings (22-14) on Thursday on ESPNU. The Kings are Sacramento's G League team coached by former Suns assistant Quinton Crawford.
The first three rounds are single elimination. The conference finals are on April 6 on ESPNU. The G League finals are a best-of-3 series that begins April 8.

Conflicting reports emerge on Kevin Durant trade to New York Knicks
While others may or may not end up on the block, the NBA seems sure to have a superstar traded this offseason. But Kevin Durant isn't just a superstar, he's a first-ballot future Hall of Famer, and the Phoenix Suns are trying to find him a new team. So far, several contenders have been linked to a potential trade for Durant. Yet as it turns out, some of these contenders may actually be pretenders. Charles Barkley tells Phoenix Suns ‘screw Kevin Durant' get the best trade possible
Reports have claimed the Phoenix Suns will work with Kevin Durant and his representatives to move him to a preferred destination this summer. However, legendary TNT analyst Charles Barkley said on Wednesday night, 'screw' that. 'The Suns don't need to work with him. They need to get the best deal possible,' Barkley said during the pregame show for Game 3 of the NBA Finals. 'He's got one year left on his deal. His people are going to try and make it perfect for him. Screw that. Advertisement 'If I'm the Phoenix Suns, I'm like, 'You know what? We are going to make the best deal possible for our team.
