KUALA LUMPUR: Videos of a policeman disciplining three boys for riding brakeless bicycles have gone viral, with many Malaysians praising his intervention as timely and necessary.
In two videos on TikTok, the policeman was seen stopping three boys when he spotted them riding brakeless bicycles on a public road.
He asked the boys about the condition of their bicycles and where they got them.
He then told them to follow him to the police station to contact their parents.
One boy was seen kneeling and crying. The three boys then promised they would install brakes or sell their bicycles to a scrapyard.
The policeman allowed them to return home after a stern warning.
Social media users praised the police officer's no-nonsense yet compassionate approach.
