
Anbar University: Enhancing scientific cooperation with Japanese Embassy
Anbar University discussed, on Tuesday, with the Japanese Ambassador Akira Endo, enhancing prospects for scientific and research cooperation between the university and Japanese institutions.
"The visit began with a presentation of an introductory video about Anbar University produced by the Media and Government Communication Department, followed by a welcoming speech delivered by the Vice President of the University, in which he expressed the university's pride in this visit, stressing its keenness to develop academic and scientific partnerships with Japanese institutions," said the Director of the Media and Government Communication Department at Anbar University, Ahmed Al-Rashed, to the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
In turn, the Japanese Ambassador expressed his happiness to visit Anbar University, stressing his country's commitment to enhancing scientific and research cooperation with the university.
The Executive Director of the Iraqi Hope Organization, Jamal Al-Jawahiri, also delivered a speech in which he stressed the importance of this cooperation, pointing to the organization's support for higher education at the university.
The visit included the Japanese Ambassador presenting the university with an X-Ray device, which according to the university is a qualitative addition to the early detection of diseases, which contributes to enhancing health services to the community.
The Director of the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations, Assistant Professor Dr. Duraid Mu'ayyad Abd, reviewed the most prominent scientific and research achievements of the University of Anbar.
At the end of the visit, the discussion was opened on the mechanisms of cooperation between the university and the Japanese side, before the university shield and some of its publications were presented in honor of the efforts of the Japanese ambassador in supporting academic cooperation.

Iraq, Lebanon and Syria discuss prospects for cooperation and expertise exchange
Iraqi Health Minister Salih Al-Hasnawi met with his Lebanese counterpart, Rakan Nasser Al-Din, on Tuesday on the sidelines of the World Health Organization General Assembly meetings in Geneva. The meeting included discussing prospects for health cooperation between the two brotherly countries and enhancing coordination in the health sector, according to a statement by the Ministry of Health - received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA. Health Minister Saleh al-Hasnawi affirmed Iraq's commitment to the "Help Gaza" campaign launched by Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani on Monday, and the readiness of Iraqi health institutions to provide the necessary support. The ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Health Minister Saleh al-Hasnawi chaired the 62nd session of the Council of Arab Health Ministers, held at the United Nations headquarters in Geneva, on the sidelines of the 78th World Health Assembly, in the presence of the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Iraq to the United Nations Office in Geneva, Ambassador Abdul Karim Hashim Mustafa." The statement added, "The Minister began his speech by thanking the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Chairman of the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Health Ministers, for his efforts during the previous session. He praised the role of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, represented by Ambassador Haifa Abu Ghazaleh, in the success of this session.
