William and Kate Absent Again As King Charles and Camilla Attend Royal Easter
King Charles and Queen Camilla stepped out for annual Easter celebrations on Sunday, April 20 with many members of the royal family – minus Prince William and Kate Middleton. For the second year in a row, the couple opted out after they skipped last year's celebrations due to Middleton's breast cancer diagnosis. (In January, the princess announced she's in remission.)
Also in attendance at the Easter Matins Service at St. George's Chapel in Windsor were King Charles' siblings, Princess Anne and husband Sir Timothy Laurence, Prince Andrew and ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, and Prince Edward and wife Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh (along with their son James, Earl of Wessex). Also spotted were Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozz, and Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank.William and Kate decided instead to take their children, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 7, to Norfolk, according to People. The official royal family Instagram page posted for Easter, "He is Risen! Wishing a peaceful and happy Easter Sunday to all who celebrate."
A few days before the holiday, Charles posted an Easter message on the royal family's website In part, he wrote, "One of the puzzles of our humanity is how we are capable of both great cruelty and great kindness. This paradox of human life runs through the Easter story and in the scenes that daily come before our eyes — at one moment, terrible images of human suffering and, in another, heroic acts in war-torn countries where humanitarians of every kind risk their own lives to protect the lives of others. A few weeks ago, I met many such people at a reception in Buckingham Palace and felt a profound sense of admiration for their resilience, courage and compassion."
He added, "It is with these timeless truths in my mind, and my heart, that I wish you all a blessed and peaceful Easter."

Stephen King Has Seen Tom Hiddleston's The Life Of Chuck, And I'm Intrigued About His Take On The Book Becoming A Movie
When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. There are a lot of upcoming Stephen King movies on the way in the next year, and while the adaptations of his more popular novels like The Long Walk and The Running Man are sure to create a lot of buzz, the next release is a more underrated story of his. Mike Flanagan's The Life Of Chuck movie comes out next week, and Stephen King has just shared his own thoughts on his 2020 novella now being a movie. While Stephen King is, of course, best known for his work in the horror genre, The Life Of Chuck is not that. It's described as a 'life-affirming' science fiction drama that CinemaBlend's own Eric Eisenberg called 'one of the best Stephen King movies of all time.' Here's what King recently said about the Tom Hiddleston-led movie: It's a wonderful movie. I don't know if it will do any business or not. I don't know if people are in the mood for that sort of warm-hearted thing. It's not what I would call syrupy and sentimental because it does have an acknowledgment that life can be very, very difficult. But Hiddleston did a great job as Chuck. I love that movie. The Life Of Chuck was written/directed by Mike Flanagan, who previously adapted King's sequel to The Shining with 2019's Doctor Sleep, as well as Gerald's Game, along with making some of the best horror TV shows in recent years like The Haunting Of Hill House and Midnight Mass. King shared to Toronto Star that he has appreciated Flanagan's take on his works thus far, and The Life Is Chuck is another great addition. You can check out The Life Of Chuck trailer below: Both the movie and the novella follows an ordinary guy named Charles 'Chuck' Krantz across three chapters of his life. King shared that he feels 'joy is a valid part of the human experience,' and wanted to infuse that in the story after much of his stories tackle things like 'existential dread, grief, woe.' Though I haven't seen it, these comments make me more interested in seeing a modern King movie that's more of a heartwarming drama than a scary movie. I'm also curious if the author is worried about the movie's viability and his take on audiences perhaps not turning out for a story of his that's not horror-related. Even though King shared he loves the movie, pointing out Hiddleston's 'great' performance at the same time, it sounds like he's not sure if audiences will turn out for a 'warm-hearted thing.' Now, it should be noted that past King stories that are not horror have been turned into movies. For example, there's 1994's The Shawshank Redemption, which is thought of as one of the best movies ever made. There's also 1999's The Green Mile. Stephen King might have a point considering Shawshank famously didn't do well at the box office initially (making just $16 million against a $25 million budget). However, The Green Mile, starring Tom Hanks, made much better business with over $286 million worldwide against a $60 million budget. We'll have to see how The Life Of Chuck does when it comes to theaters on June 6!

The Trumps Are Launching *Checks Notes* Gold, Trump-Themed Smartphones, And Unfortunately, You Read This Headline Right
While it may sound like a bad SNL sketch come to life, the news is true — the Trump Organization (revealed via Trump's son, Eric) has announced that they've licensed the presidential family name for smartphones and cellular services, calling it "Trump Mobile." I am personally no expert, but this kinda feels like the Wario to Ryan Reynolds's Mint Mobile, y'know? Here's what we know so far: The cellular service currently appears to have only one plan, titled "The 47 Plan" in reference to Trump's second term making him the 47th president. It's priced at — you guessed it — $47.45. The 45, I'm assuming, is in reference to his first term. For claiming to hate Taylor Swift, Trump's organization surely seems to be taking Easter egg notes from her, don't you think? Nonetheless, here's everything the plan claims to offer: Additionally, they're releasing a "T1 Phone" later this summer, which is described as a "sleek, gold smartphone engineered for performance," and — seemingly — comes adorned with not only a massive T1 on the back, but also, of course, an American flag (because why wouldn't it!). The organization has specified, however, that the $499 phone was not designed or made by Trump Mobile, but by another company entirely. If the gold is a bit too flashy for you, no worries! They've unveiled a second, more subtle option (if, of course, yet another American flag and a massive "Trump" etching in the back is what you consider to be low-key). Trump Mobile / Via Related: "Let Them Eat Teslas": People At The "No Kings" Protests This Weekend Brought Signs That Were So Clever I'm Still Laughing About Them While the press release states that the phone is "proudly designed and built in the United States," in an interview this morning, Eric said that "eventually, all the phones can be built in the United States of America," continuing on about how "we have to bring manufacturing back" to the country. I'm no expert, but to kinda sounds currently not being made in the US, no? Some important context here: All of this comes less than a month after President Trump himself demanded that Apple and Samsung make major shifts to manufacture and build their smartphones in the United States, threatening to put "at least" a 25% tariff on their products if they didn't comply. And now, it seems the Trump family is entering the market themselves. Needless to say, the internet has had a lot to say about all of this: Editor's Note: While we can't endorse what X has become, we can bring you the worthwhile moments that still exist there, curated and free of the surrounding chaos. Jessica Alba Posts Heartfelt Father's Day Message After Filing for Divorce
Yesterday marked the first Father's Day since actress Jessica Alba filed for divorce from her husband, film producer Cash Warren. Alba, 44, and Warren met in 2004 and were married four years later. They separated in 2024 after 16 years of marriage, and the "Fantastic Four" star officially filed for divorce in February. "I've been on a journey of self realization and transformation for years - both as an individual and in partnership with Cash," Alba said earlier this year. "I'm proud of how we've grown as a couple and in our marriage over the last 20 years and it's now time for us to embark on a new chapter of growth and evolution as individuals." At the time, Alba and Warren's split was described as "extremely amicable." Judging by her Father's Day social media activity, that assessment would be accurate. On her Instagram story Sunday, Alba posted a photo of Warren with their three children and an accompanying heartfelt message. "Happy Father's Day, @cash_warren,' Alba wrote. 'Our babies couldn't have a better dad — warm, kind, present, always knowing just what to say. I admire your patience and the way you hold space for them. Making them feel safe and light after every conversation. Thank you for being their rock 🫶🏽." Alba and Warren are the parents of three children: Honor, 16, Haven 13, and Hayes, 7. The photo she chose featured Warren holding Hayes as a newborn alongside his two eldest daughters. Back in April, Alba and Warren reunited to spend time with their kids on Easter, further indication that despite their differences, they remain committed to coparenting. That's great news for their children, and the two of them deserve kudos for how they've seemingly handled the situation.
