Al Tareq Star, a leading real estate developer with a wide range of businesses and activities in Saudi Arabia, has announced strategic expansion plans in the UAE. These plans include launching a portfolio of real estate development projects across key locations in the country.
As part of this expansion, the company has officially launched its first residential project in Dubai – Norah Residence – a smart and contemporary residential development in the heart of Jumeirah Village Circle, one of the city's fastest-growing residential areas.
Jumeirah Village Circle is known for its high rental returns, increasing end-user demand, and strong appeal as a high-yield investment option for those seeking quality living, comfort, and community connection. The location also provides easy access to key highways including Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, Al Khail Road, and Hessa Street, ensuring strong connectivity to Dubai's main destinations. The neighbourhood offers a growing mix of restaurants, cafés, retail centres, wellness and fitness facilities, and is home to popular hospitality destinations such as FIVE JVC.
Norah Residence was developed in collaboration with the award-winning architectural firm NAGA Architects. The project includes 183 carefully designed units ranging from studios, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, two-bedroom duplex, and three-bedroom duplex apartments.
The development combines smart home technologies with refined interior designs and provides a distinctive lifestyle experience. Residents enjoy access to recreational facilities including a cinema lounge, café, gym, yoga hall, and a children's play area. The units offer peaceful views overlooking the pool, Halfa Park, and the panoramic skyline featuring the iconic FIVE JVC hotel.
Unit prices start at Dh650,000, with a special 40/60 payment plan, offering an attractive investment opportunity for both residents and investors seeking long-term value in Dubai's real estate market. The project is scheduled for handover by the end of Q2 2027.
Norah Bint Tareq Bin Ali Al Tamimi, vice-chairperson of Al Tareq Star, said: 'At Al Tareq Star, we believe that housing goes beyond walls and structures. It creates a complete environment that supports growth and wellbeing. With Norah Residence, we were committed to delivering an urban model that reflects a modern quality of life. This project embodies our vision and mission to build contemporary communities.'
With a strong legacy of over 80 years of combined experience in Saudi Arabia, Al Tareq Star continues to lead as a developer that merges cultural depth with innovation in modern design. Norah Residence marks the company's latest milestone and its debut project in Dubai.

Stryde acquires Qora71 to launch Stryde71, creating a new force in venture capital

Abu Dhabi, UAE – Stryde, a DFSA-regulated digital investment platform, has announced the acquisition of Qora71, the region's fastest growing angel investment network. As part of the deal, Qora71 will be rebranded as Stryde71, establishing a new vertical within the Stryde ecosystem focused on venture capital and technology deals syndication. The acquisition marks Stryde's entry into global venture capital and strengthens its position as a multi-vertical private markets investment platform enabling individuals and institutions to seamlessly access global deals. Alongside Stryde Sports, Stryde71 expands venture capital access to both qualified and retail investors. Additional verticals are in development, as Stryde advances its mission to unlock high quality alternative investments. Qora71 was launched with support of Hub71's Angel Investor Support Package with the aim of unlocking greater access to early-stage capital for founders across the Middle East. In just five months, the network built a community of more than 130 angel investors and facilitated more than 50 investments, deploying over $2 million in capital, with over $1m additional in the pipeline. Founded by Youssef Salem, Qora71 quickly became a platform for community-led investing, enabling strategic capital formation through a digitally enabled syndicate model. 'Bringing Qora71 into the Stryde family is a major milestone,' said Hadi Halabi, Co-founder, Stryde. 'Yousef's leadership and what Qora71 built at Hub71 in record time is nothing short of inspirational. Together, we're unlocking the next generation of startup investing in the region and globally.' Youssef Salem who now joins Stryde as Partner said: 'Qora71 was born out of a desire to give exceptional founders access to meaningful capital, connectivity, and market access, all powered by a community of strategic angels. In five short months, we proved that vision. Now with Stryde, we can scale that impact exponentially.' Stryde71 combines Qora71's community-driven syndicate model with Stryde's DFSA-regulated platform offering a seamless, end-to-end investment experience. Marking Stryde's entry into Abu Dhabi via ADGM, the new arm enables retail and qualified investors to co-invest in exclusive startup deals, while giving founders a one-stop platform to raise capital across early and growth stages. Basma Ahmed AlBadi AlDhaheri, Head of Value Creation at Hub71 said: 'Through Qora71, we supported early-stage investors and catalyzed meaningful outcomes, facilitating capital deployment into high-potential startups and accelerating their growth. The launch of Stryde71 is a natural next step. It reflects not only the success of the initiative, but also the collective progress of our community and our broader mission to strengthen Abu Dhabi's capital landscape.' The acquisition reflects the growing momentum behind early-stage funding in Abu Dhabi and the increasing availability of infrastructure supporting founders across the venture landscape. As the UAE strengthens its position as a global hub for innovation, Stryde71 represents a new model of regulated, community-driven investing designed to accelerate startup growth and attract global capital. Americana Restaurants International has said it is in early stages of talks to acquire a stake in Dubai-based Cravia Inc, the operator of brands such as Zaatar W Zeit, Five Guys and Cinnabon in the Middle East. Americana did not disclose details about the size of the potential stake or the expected timeline for the transaction. A report by Bloomberg last week suggested that the stake in Cravia may be acquired from its current private equity owner, Fajr Capital. SAE University College Dubai opens admissions for project-based Bachelor of Computer Science

SAE University College Dubai is now accepting applications for its Bachelor of Computer Science program, starting September 2025. This Australian-accredited degree takes a hands-on, project-based approach to learning. There are no written exams, just real-world work that builds a job-ready portfolio. From the first trimester, students create functional software using professional tools and workflows. They present their work, collaborate across teams, and graduate with skills that employers value. No memorisation. No theory overload. Just hands-on experience from day one. Each student is guaranteed an industry internship, giving them direct access to real tech environments before graduation. It's structured for the workplace, not just the classroom. There's no requirement for math or science grades. This programme is open to students from any academic background, especially those who think creatively, enjoy solving problems, and want to learn by doing. Collaboration is built in. Computer Science students work alongside peers in Design, Animation, Audio, Film, and Games. It reflects how real-world creative tech teams operate. SAE has over 40 campuses in 20 countries and has been delivering creative media and tech education for more than 45 years. Degrees from SAE Dubai are accredited by Australia's Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA). The Dubai campus is also licensed in the UAE by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The Bachelor of Computer Science is one of several industry-focused degrees offered at SAE Dubai. For those who do not meet direct entry requirements, the one-year foundation programme offers a pathway into a bachelor's degree. Applications are now open for all bachelor's and foundation programme starting September 2025. For more information, visit the website:
