Savannah Bananas ‘Banana Ball' to air on Lowcountry CW this summer

The wildly popular Savannah Bananas will make their network television debut this summer.
The CW Network announced this week that the Savannah Bananas will bring their unique brand of 'Banana Ball' to Philadelphia's Citizens Bank Field in front of a sold-out crowd on Sunday, July 17. The game will air live on The CW, including The Lowcountry CW, on the same day.
It comes as the team has gained worldwide attention for its one-of-a-kind brand, which includes the fastest and most entertaining game of baseball.
'The Savannah Bananas have taken the sports world by storm through their high-energy blend of baseball and entertainment that connects with viewers of all ages,' said Mike Perman, Senior Vice President, CW Sports. 'We are thrilled to partner with them for their broadcast television debut, and we cannot wait to bring our audience every unpredictable play in front of what promises to be an electric atmosphere in Philadelphia.'
The team is known for their choreographed dances, epic scoring celebrations, flaming bats, and an array of other antics. And the team has sold out every game at their home field in Savannah, Georgia, since their inaugural season in 2016.
Savannah Bananas played before a massive crowd at Clemson University's Memorial Stadium, also known as Death Valley, back in April.

Who's Your Law & Orderverse Dream Team? Choose Your Perfect Squad

In the criminal justice system, the people are represented by two separate, but equally important, groups: the police, who investigate crime, and the district attorneys, who prosecute the offenders. This is your chance to build your dream team of the two. More from TVLine Resident Alien Season 4 Premiere Recap: Was Harry Able to Bust Out of Alien Jail? (Grade It!) Law & Order: Organized Crime Recap: After a Death in the Family, Will Stabler Turn to the Dark Side? The Cleaning Lady Ends Season 4 on an Unresolved Note - Do You Want to See a Fifth Season? In advance of Law & Order: Organized Crime's season finale later this week, and while Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU are on break for the summer, we thought we'd pose this question: Who would staff your ideal squad room? Before you start shouting out your favorites, a few things to keep in mind: * To date, seven Law & Order series have aired in the United States; those are the shows we're considering here. In addition to the flagship series, there's SVU, Criminal Intent, Trial by Jury, LA, True Crime and Organized Crime. (Law & Order: Toronto, which has aired Season 1 in Canada and will debut later this year in the U.S. on The CW, is not eligible.) Law & Order: 20 Best Gifts and Merch for Franchise Superfans View List * In order to keep these sprawling lists from getting even more unwieldy, we limited the choices to characters played by series regulars. (So fans of, say, SVU's Capt. Curry are outta luck.) * We broke down the pool into LAW (those who work for the district attorney's office) and ORDER (officers in the New York Police Department). You can choose four from the first, and five from the second. Mirroring his journey in the franchise, Dominick 'Sonny' Carisi Jr. shows up on both lists.
