A couple who create ukelele tutorial videos on YouTube were "shocked" to discover a fake profile of them had gone viral on TikTok.Roz and Graham Hall, from Eaglescliffe, Stockton, have been running the Eagle Ukes group for the last seven years and began creating videos during lockdown.It came as a complete surprise to them to be told by a relative they had gone viral on TikTok, with millions of views.Mr Hall, 64, said they "could not believe it" as they did not have a profile on the social media site.
When the couple discovered their fake profile, they found whoever created it had taken pictures of them from Facebook."We were shocked and I was angry," Mr Hall said."I became more angry when I looked into it and whoever it was had taken a picture of me and my wife and used it."They had taken 35 of our videos and clipped them down."
It took the ukelele players two weeks of reporting the videos to TikTok before they were taken down.During that time, the fake profile reached 14,000 followers and one video reached 1.2m views.Mr Hall added: "We went to TikTok and said we were being impersonated."Initially, they said that they could not see any violations but we kept reporting the videos and so did our followers."I thought 'no matter how long it takes, I'm going to get this person closed down'."We decided it was not worth getting a solicitor, but thankfully TikTok began investigating and took down the profile."The couple said they wanted to warn other creators about not having high privacy on their YouTube videos.They have now set up their own TikTok account to try to reach the younger audience who were enjoying their content.

Belfast hairdresser married to US-born husband faces deportation after being detained by immigration officers: ‘He's got no rights whatsoever'
Edward Lee Stinton, known as Lee, was initially subjected to a traffic stop by police in Key West — part of the Florida Keys — while cycling on his way to work at a hair salon. However, officers from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) soon detained him for not having his immigration documents at hand despite possessing the proper papers, according to his father. Belfast-born Lee (46) was transported almost four hours to a Miami detention centre housing a host of other ICE detainees where he has been left in limbo awaiting the outcome of his residency. The former British Hairdresser of The Year left his home for Florida over six years ago after marrying his US-born husband. His father, Edward, told Good Morning Ulster that Lee was on a working visa at the time and was on track to receive a Green Card. 'Last Thursday, we heard something went wrong,' Edward explained. 'He was going to work as normal on Thursday on his e-bike and he went through or, didn't go through — we're not sure of that yet — a stop sign. Edward continued by saying that Lee did not have his immigration papers on him and was subsequently transferred to Krome Detention Centre, where he has been held for almost a week. 'He's a vegan — he hasn't had food from last Thursday, he sleeps on a cold hard floor, no washing no change of clothes — his mum's out of her mind. 'They won't tell [his attorney] how long he'll be there. If they find they're going to deport him — it's a holding centre, not a processing centre — they will send him to Texas to process him and then deport him. 'The silliest part about it [according to] his solicitor is that he could be deported, sent back home to here, there's a certain form you can fill in from here and you can go straight back to the US straight away.' The 46-year-old is a 'valued member' of the Key West community, according to a petition set up by locals to campaign for Lee's release. The petition said he has been 'earning the trust and respect of colleagues, customers, and supervisors and has been a tax-paying member of the community since 2019'. It adds that Lee's detention has 'caused significant hardship to his family, friends, and our community. As residents of Key West, we rely on each other for support, and the absence of Lee has left a noticeable gap in our daily lives. Lee poses no danger to our community and has no criminal history.' Lee is one of tens of thousands detained by immigration authorities following Donald Trump's vow to deport millions of undocumented migrants from the US. Around 51,000 migrants believed to be undocumented have been brought into ICE detention centres as of early June, with even some of the most high-profile US inhabitants being arrested. Among those detained have been New York City's mayoral candidate Brad Lander and one of the world's biggest TikTok stars, Khaby Lame. Elaine Stinton, Lee's mum, who 'can barely get through the day', voiced her concerns as she awaits a decision from US immigration officials. She said: 'He's got no rights whatsoever. He has no food, he can't wash himself, he can't get changed. You wouldn't treat an animal like that.'

Her Corgi dog survived after being locked in a toilet for 72 hours as Ms Abbott lay dead nearby, neighbours said. Her Facebook page says she grew up in Wimbledon, south London before moving to Los Angeles where pictures show her with stars including Dan Ackroyd, Paris Hilton and Kate Hudson. She had run a film production company and made a documentary she directed called 'Gods of War' which she said won several awards. Also known as Sarah Steinberg, she was last seen walking her pet corgi on June 10. She was found dead on Friday after neighbours kicked her door down. An ambulance crew was called to Mornington Place, at around 6pm on June 13 and she was pronounced dead at the scene. A neighbour, who did not want to be named, said her son went out to help Ms Abbott's niece and the pair made the harrowing discovery. Detectives fear she may have been killed for her diamond-encrusted Rolex. The neighbour said: 'My son broke the door down. We heard her niece shouting: 'Somebody help me, somebody help' and we went out and asked 'what's wrong?' She said: 'I haven't heard from my aunty in four days. Something's wrong - break the door down.' 'I was holding the door open downstairs and my son was upstairs and then I heard her niece screaming and saying: 'Oh my God, she's been murdered'. She had tape across her mouth. Her corgi was locked in the bathroom for three days. "That poor dog, he couldn't even drink any water, it's amazing he was even still alive.' She said her neighbour was 'mysterious, and very smart and intelligent'. 'We would chat in the street most of the time. I used to walk around the block with her with her dog,' she said. 'I can't believe we won't see her walking the corgi any more. She was very exuberant, very vivacious. 'She had done a lot of things in her life. She was a doctor but she was also an actor and director in America. She'd directed a movie and I looked at it on YouTube and saw her interviewed in Los Angeles. She was a character. She was lovely. 'You're never going to see her again and you just can't take it in. I said to my son: 'I can't believe we were sitting here in the living room, maybe watching television, while she was over there going through that and we didn't know.' The neighbour said that drug users sit in doorways in the area including near Ms Abbott's flat. Another woman living nearby described Ms Abbott as 'a woman of taste', while William Currie, 63, a hairdresser, said: 'I just used to see her walking around with her little corgi. We just said hello, waved to each other and smiled. 'She used to walk the dog every couple of days. She kept herself to herself, she wasn't too sociable but kind, polite and well-mannered. The dog was fat and chubby and barked a lot.' Police said a post-mortem examination was carried out on Sunday and gave the cause of death as sharp force trauma. Chief Superintendent Jason Stewart said: 'We are working closely with our colleagues in the homicide team to establish exactly what happened and it's incredibly important that we hear from anyone who may have knowledge about how this awful death occurred. Were you out in Camden on Friday? 'Perhaps you had been coming home from work, or at an event nearby? Did you see or hear anything around Mornington Place that struck you as being unusual? "Someone must have seen or heard something and no piece of information is too small. It could be the crucial clue that leads us to identify Jennifer's murderer.
